  1. I was in line for most of them and we are talking in yards not feet or inches. Pardew wasn't shaking his head at the lino's decisions but the fact he has signed a player who doesn't think about the game. I wonder what they'll be doing in training next week?
  2. A friendly piece of advice may have ben passed on at the time but it turned out he was deaf as well as dumb.
  3. The body language of all those decent fans walking by the scene was either one of embarrassment and shame to be wearing the same shirt or ironic and resigned smiles and much head shaking. We don't need these idiots as supporters and if they can use CCTV for number plate recognition they can use it to identify our merry band of mouthy, handbag, wielding louts.
  4. I agree 100% and after today's performance I think we can say we probably have the best defence in the league if Thomas can stay fit whilst bearing in mind things didn't quite come off for Harding today who IMO has been our player of the season to date. So likely even better to come from our back 4 and hopefully we will be able to hang onto those 1 goal leads in the future that in the recent past has cost us so dearly. Pardew once again impressed with his post match interview and good to see he recognised there is still plenty to work on.
  5. Fair point and obviously that was after I moved on because the scum hadn't swelled by that point. Amazing how brave and big a couple pints of Stella can make you feel with 30 of your club neanderthals goading you on.
  6. I think it is very worrying that he was being caught offside so easily. Is he not aware defenders in this country push up at every opportunity? Silly booking to give away as well and whilst I appreciate he may not understand language does he not understand a whistle? That said he looked keen and was probably too eager to impress hence his apparent lack of concentration. Defintely a better option to partner Lambert than Saganowski on pace alone but did he not have a touch of the BWP's about him? I wouldn't agree that he is a class above anything we've got (Better than JaidI??) and if you can't think about the offside rule the advantage of his pace is largely negated. Hopefully, Pardew will explain it to him on Monday morning.
  7. I saw it and have to say Fitzhugh Fella called it about right. 1 of the Yeovil 4 who got the kicking understandably and foolishly wanted to have a go back but the pathetic police moved them on and in fact it was the other 3 who in the end dragged the aggrieved fan up the road. He was a bit miffed but can you blame him? BTW the idiot in the Saints yellow away shirt who stood behind the protection of the two truncheon wielding pc's baiting and looking oh so hard - it may be time you grow up a bit and allow people to go about thier lives without fear of intimidation. Personally, I thought we had a decent fanbase but we also have a minority of idiots and we are not talking posturing hoodies who it seems to me after a game are looking for any excuse to fight and I use that in word in the loosest of terms. Is having a quiet beer in a pub close to the ground now an excuse to invite a kicking from the inhabitants of our fair city? I'm sure its on CCTV and the police and the club should view the footage. identify and call those in to account for their actions. Fans who get involved in violence outside the ground should be treated the same as if they are caught in the ground and banned or warned dependent on the seriousness. 3 warnings and you can go and find another club because they should never be allowed back in again as all their actions do is store up trouble for future games and destroy completely the questionable 'family club' tag we have.
  8. Who for? MLT has to reap what he sow's just like the rest of us. IMO what ever the outcome he stretched his 'easy going and hugely popular personality' to a point that things become less easy to forgive and forget. In short he thought he was above the normal rules without a thought to what people may actually think. Poor poor judgement but that is just my opinion but some frank answers and an apology would be a start.
  9. Not a bookie, then?
  10. Dune are you up yet and eaten the rest of that kebab for breakfast or is your Mum making you wash your bedding again?
  11. Allegedly his current employers may have an issue with it assuming he is not ill or is allowed to take two Saturdays off during the season. Of course if MLT or his representatives made an official and detailed statement explaining his actions then all the speculation could be buried. Perhaps he is still happy to carry on taking le tiss out of all of us. His silence IMO is deafening.
  12. Got to remember they were playing with a small medicine ball and a pipe and a packet of ready rubbed in their shorts. Toe punt or not did you see anyone deliberately try and kick the ball out?
  13. I'll let my pathetic mate know in the morning. Did you say you had a skinful of beer - can't say it noticed. Sleep well.
  14. You have a choice Scally and I recommend you do what I did when your brother was the big draw on match days. Turn up the ipod or turn up at 3pm. Remember McMenemy is no WWII veteran so most fans under the age of 30 won't give a toss about him as it's football we are supporting and fans tend to only register a fondess for players ad managers that they grow up with as oppose to having an annual reminder of those who thought for king and country. Feel sorry for the under 30's as they don't have an association with McMenemy and now their hero Matt Le Tissier has let them down and can't be bothered to give them a decent explanation as to why. Thank god for Lowe

  16. Lifestyle - played football and worked for a living.
  17. True but not so good for 1994.
  18. I think you may have inadvertently upset some young couple.
  19. Terry Paine's debut?
  20. Who?
  21. I know and my stance has always been that Lowe was Hobson's Choice in the absence of the 3 of them working together for the greater good. Of course if we had had a genuine ambassador at the club they could have brokered an invaluable agreement instead of taking sides.
  22. I care so I guess that's two of us, whoever Rupert's love child is? Do you know he has one for a fact? Misleading at best if you don't.
  23. His explantion to questions on Pinnacle in his recent radio interviews could have benn written by anyone of us and he was fortunate not to face a more inquisitive and knowledgeable interviewer as his answers were a statement of events we already knew but no explanation as to why decisions were made and the bid allowed to run well past its respectability date. Perhaps, the most telling response from MLT was in the Mayo interview when he gave a very audible sigh at the mention of Pinnacle and Mayo had to check it was ok to discuss - not that they did as Mayo simply accepted his paper thin response. The betting scam is another can of worms altogether and based on recent twists, is this book a work of fact or fiction and is MLT's strategy to lay low until the dust settles? If so, not good enough and we deserve an explanation minus the paste and scissors this time.
  24. I am 100% behind this initiative and agree with everything said above. Weston, I'm afraid McMenemy has acted like he has some god given right to free access to the club and had he behaved in a more diplomatic fashion in the years that followed his departure, then maybe things would have been different. If he is upset by the need to the pay to watch SMS then IMO he only has himself to blame and Mr Liebherr can see that he was a symptom of the past problems and not the cure although he had plenty of opportunity to put that right but he sold the rights a bit too easily IMO. As for Leon Crouch, evidence if any was needed that throwing money around does not impress unless it is backed up by a worthy plan. People say he saved the club but only because IMO he was trying to buy a place on the board and if the tyre kickers had not been supported Mr Liebherr and his team would have been in pole position a lot earlier. SMS is a better place without Lowe and Wilde and equally it is better without Crouch and his football dinosaur. Sad but they need to take a close look at themselves before they mention their unhappiness about paying again. I doubt Mr Oldknow will be interested in reversing the decision and as the man generally regarded as bring Mr Liebherr to the club he is the one who should be considered for a lifetime season ticket if nothing else.
  25. Any news if the police are taking the matter further? They were planning on meet the FA and then we had the news that the game wasn't live and so the betting scam with the spread firms could not have occured. So where are we now? Are the police pursuing the issue? Did MLT just quote the wrong game by mistake? Did he deliberately invent the story to beef up book sales? Did he make up anymore stories and if so does the book need to be reclassified in the fiction section? Has MLT given a satisfactory explanation to the affair who do we expect some well rehearsed 'straight bat' response as per the answers he has given so far with regard to Pinnacle. Finally, do we know the validity of those 40 pages of well-wisher emails and can we name any other books about the greatest stars living or dead who included 40 pages of ego massage from the general public under the premise of wanting 'to give them a voice'? All in all a bizarre few months for MLT and to top it all his book has fallen out of the top 20 of the book sellers hot bed of sales - the hard back non fiction chart as at 12/09/09. Suffice to say it does not figure anywhere in the overall bestsellers charts. Another serious lack of misjudgement to boost sales of a dull book or a simple error lying about helping to execute a betting scam? In any event I am surprised it's gone quiet and trust that MLT isn't planning on laying low until it all goes away - he owes Saints fans more than that. So please let share if you have any recent news or if you agree or disagree that MLT owes us an explanation if his book ia a work of fiction or non-fiction.
