Blimey - we agree Got a feeling that Harding was being kept out of the picture / passes in the first half. I'm in Kingsland North and there was good use of the wing with Puncheon (good to see him this side!) and Harding was in excellent position on numerous occasions but the ball was never passed to him. Not sure if there was some kind of falling out there. I'm really hoping that the L1 teams haven't been watching last years videos of our game play and figured it all out. Results suggest they have - erk. As for Rickie - the only reason he seemed to be at St Mary's today was to pick up his award pre-match. He certainly wasn't there for a game of football.

So are we and thanks for your input. Was not happy with Wilkins statement on Solent today. Blames it on the fact he hasn't got Lallana who scored xx goals last year, and no Barnard who scored xx goals last year. But, hold on a second, he failed to mention the fact he did have Lambert who was top goal scorer last year but has turned out to be a lemon today and the last few days. Buck stops with the manager, regardless of whether or not you've just taken over the role. Would have much preferred him to come out and say "Yup, I f*cked up, shouldn't have sub'd Chamberlain, and I can't wait for someone to take over from me - HELP!"
-
I'm still undecided even after reflection tonight on Puncheon... Overall he had a good game today. HOWEVER, there were some very basic mistakes he made and I doubt he could have finished a rice pudding. Chamberlain was the best Saints player on the pitch today. Running after everything, looking to move into space and pick the ball up, good passing. Chamberlain aside, I kept a special eye on the midfield in in general today. Unbelievable. Someone mentioned Sunday league football, it really was at times. Someone breaks on the wing and you expect to see the midfield storming forward to assist but, no, they're sat back reading Womans Weekly and polishing their nails. Atrocious display from them.

I'm pretty sure this doesn't count as a libelous post as it's just rumour Heard today that Fonte was really close to completing a house purchase in Southampton and had done some hard bargaining to get a good price for the large property. However, he pulled out of the purchase yesterday. Maybe he had two irons in the fire and managed to buy another house.. however, he would have lost quite a sizable amount of cash by pulling out.

Lambert looked completely out of sorts. Didn't seen to want to be there today. Martin was good and Chamberlain was our best player. Sad when the shining stars are not our experienced ones. Shambles.

Southampton restaurants according to Tripadvisor.co.uk - hasn't failed me yet so far. Ensure that the #1, 2 or 3 has more than a few reviews and read them all. Used tripadvisor for many many excellent restaurants and hotels across the world.

Last time the tip about "It's on SSN in a minute" that minute lasted about 18 hours or so. I've turned over (OK, but the laptop is showing SSN via Sky Player )

Huh? Thought the whole point was that the saints photographers could sell to the pa to make money for the club but sfc dont want 3rd parties to make money...

All wrong. NC caught AP taking photos at the last home game without a licence and had no option. Mystery solved.
-
Is it me or are these WUMs breeding around SWF?

Sat in Kingsland by halfway line today and kept thinking that billy sh1te may have found a new victim in me and also felt embarrassed shouting so 2nd half moved back to near our st seats. Should have gone to the pub though

Well, where do you stop with the axe? You've gotta have someone to run it in caretaker mode. Liken it to you being the manager of a shop and one of your staff is stealing from the till. Do you keep them on until you find someone else to replace them? Anyhoooo's - this was all about a potential reason that NC would have to sack AP and his staff and is all complete rumour and will probably never be denied or confirmed. Hey ho, WIFM
-
Completely agree - and, as Poopey know, there's the rules that normal abiding citizens need to stick to and then there's the football rules I'm sure you'll find that the gross misconduct is never proven because of the compromise agreements / NDAs that have been signed.
-
Makes total sense. AP bought his staff with him. If he's looking at other clubs then NC needs to assume that the rest of AP's team are in on it / will be taken with AP. And if you're going to sack the manager then may as well get rid of the rest.
-
Was he there? Either way, I've never heard so many despondent chats from supporters that we walked past as we made our way back to the car after the game.
-
NC is a very successful businessman. I'd imagine in work he empowers people but if you step over that line, then you know it. If AP was caught talking to Villa then NCs reaction is totally understandable. What other reason could there be for NC to sack not just AP but his staff as well.
-
Think you'll also find AP has signed a compromise agreement to ensure he gets his cash but can't talk. Shame but that's business.
-
Best explanation and the only one I can justify Cortese's response would be that AP was talking to Villa / another club and, therefore, had to be a knee jerk reaction to sack him and his staff. What other explanation can people come up with which explains why it wasn't just Pardew that was sacked.....
-
Very good rumour - rings all the right bells and I would support Cortese if this is the case. Time will tell I suppose. Something's forced Cortese to take swift action and Pardew talking to another club fits the bill!
