    Sloe Gin

Wow! First time ever in preparing Sloe Gin and I must say that it was time well spent! Just cracked open the first bottle and really liking the taste. It's a bit cherry / kir like - anyone tried it with Champagne before?
  2. ...
  3. Do as I say - swap suppliers then you've got no comeback?
  4. Best of both - at some point you're going to be found out so why not switch companies now (find the best on from http://www.uswitch.com ). Then when they come and read the meter to start the service you can honest say after the first quarters bill that it appears not to be registering.. (however, make sure you put into uswitch what you should really be paying as a monthly figure).
  5. Incident here: Going to have to chop that blokes head off in front of me And some skill from Lallana:
  6. Well I thought it was a penalty but I think 'inconclusive' is the best way to describe it from this:
  7. We were unlucky not to come away with three points even in spite of the ref. We made Brighton look second best for the majority of the match and proved we can easily hold our own against them. Again some shockers from Jaidi but overall a good performance from the lads today - just missing that goal! Can't believe I didn't bother taking a sneaky video of the penalty, looking back I was too gobsmacked to think about that! Did manage to get a video of the Lallana incident but not a great one, still think it was a penalty though. Crowd was great and good banter. Sorry to anyone around me though tonight
  8. Sky+ for me I'm afraid.
  9. Well taken goal from Chaplow and I didn't realise how good a header Fonte's goal was. Good to wake up of a morning and look forward to watching the replay
  10. As in a statue?
  11. Dickson tries a too hard and out slips a little bit of poo
  12. Nope, I checked my Season ticket and it deffo says Kingsland block 34. Was there some kind of parallel universe in the vicinity of St Mary's this afternoon?
  13. Why - did you go to the toilet before half time or were you in Chapel / Peterboro section? Kingsland / Northam corner was fantastic first half - died off a little in the second but great first half atmosphere.
  14. Someone dobbed me in I'm afraid and I can only post non-copyright vids now (however, the Brighton game may well be worth losing the Youtube Account for!). Not sure why they picked on me as I can find numerous vids from each game but that's life I spose Had my second and final warning on the last lot I posted of one of the home games ;( Surely the football league must have better things to do than catch real fans wanting to post some vids and pics for their online 'fwiends'
  15. Was really glad that the Peterboro fans also clapped the kids round - there were a lot of them though!! Is this the reason games now finish at 17:00 rather than 16:45 like 'in the olden days'
  16. Lallana for sheer work rate and skill. Chaplow may well run around a lot but too many passes don't go where he wants them to and he looks like a lost rabbit at times.
  17. Good summation - we only disagree a bit on Barny and Holmes. Agree with you on Jaidi - can't believe he makes the first team. The 'one man team' comment is a good shout, last year we couldn't see ourselves without being with Rickie but now I'm not bothered if he's on the bench...
  18. Nuff said - we're in L1 and we won 4-1 and you didn't score anyone above 7. I think the fact you give Lallana a six says it all. I'm realistic and wanting to give some praise to those I feel stood out. Hope that was your last post of the day.
  19. Amazing - were you at the game?
  20. And that's what makes opinion such fun - Jaidi certainly didn't win every tackle (if any) and was found wanting on many occasions when they attacked. Just glad they didn't capitalise on those attacks. Fonte scored, and I don't remember him being responsible for their goal, I thought it was Jaidi. Will be interested to see it on the League One show now. Finally, when watching the League one show, was Barnard offside for the first? PS So, I got 12/14 for you then? Not a bad result
  21. When I was living in Droitwich many years ago and about to leave for work I had a call from a friend to tell me the traffic wasn't looking good on the M5 north bound and with the fog suggesting I left it a little later. That was the day there was a 100 car pile up on the M5/M42 which IIRC was in part down to the fact that people piling in the back couldn't tell whether it was brake lights or fog lights. Had that friend not called .... Blimey - was it really in 1997 - erk Article on the pile up
  22. My first attempt at doing the scores on the doors so don't shoot me down too much! Davis - 6 - Didn't really have much to do. Fluffed an aerial ball in the 2nd half which he shouldn't have had a go at and also a couple of saves to his left which he couldn't keep hold of. However, shouted well at the defence at times Richardson - 8 - Solid performance - nuff said Fonte - 8 - Consistent. Great goal, won nearly all his headers but occasionally was found wanting when clearing the ball from deep Jaidi - 5 - Really worried about him. A big player, good in the air but you'd always bet against him if there's the opposition have it on the floor Dickson - 7 - few stray balls here and there but overall a good performance Hammond - 7 - quite instrumental in a lot of the build ups, played like a captain today Lallana - 9 - OK, he didn't score but he chased everything. At the end of the first half the crowd appreciated him chasing about 4-5 Posh players down, won the ball in the end and then we nearly scored. Tireless chasing - more more more, why doesn't it rub off on the other players Chamberlain - 7 - Couple of great moves, blink and you'll miss him skin players in the first half and storm to the byline. 2nd half was a bit quiet as I think Posh understood how to handle him - they put a couple of players on him Chaplow - 7 - Really don't usually rate Chaplow so for me to give him a 7 he must have played well! Still don't think he has the tight ball skills to make it for SFC. Too many wayward passes Lambert - 6 - Good set piece at a free kick when you thought he was going to nail it top corner - we nearly scored from that. But didn't really set the game alight Bardnard - 8 - Loved seeing him staying high up the field and pouncing on loose balls. Great goal and he kept working it for the match. Subs Gully - 7 - Should have gone the other side for the 1 on 1 with the keeper to take a brace but held defenders off when in possession - looks good for the future Holmes - 8 - Nice to see him back on and he wanted it and wanted to make his mark. Times he should have had a go himself rather than pass near goal. Confidence will come and he'll be a real asset Connolly - not going to mark - came on in 81st minute. And for Christophe behind me in our ST seats - 10/10 for having 20/1 on Fonte to score and also a bet slip for the final result to be 4-1. Never laughed so much in my life when they held up five minutes added on - he was apoplectic
  23. Excellent result and a great atmosphere. Not sure Chaplow was my MoM. Thought Lallana was top dog today and chasing everything. Roll on Tuesday night
  24. 2nd half about to start.. was barney off side tho?
  25. Well done to the posh fans for clapping the saints foundation kids as they went round the pitch.
