Really? Bart was great at catching on crosses (something Davis is horrendous at). Also, as soon as Bart picked the ball up he was looking for options of throwing. One of them was a throw out to Richardson which allowed us to surge forward. His save was top class today and I don't think he had any worse a kicking game than Davis usually has. There was a period last season Pardew played Bart because Davis was injured and I was susprised that Davis got his place back. I think Bart has great potential at this club Oh, and I wonder if Davis knew anything about him not even being on the bench - he turned up to sign autographs with (I think) his dad around 12:20 today...

What about Barnard's disallowed goal? Maybe it was discussed in the matchday thread but I can't find it. I thought if the keeper had it in just one hand it was fair game to knock it out of their hand to score... However, all in all, we made a Prem league team look 2nd class and I loved the possession football that we are playing now. Well done Adkins and well done the fans for backing the team.

The boy played well today. I, very occasionally, have a fantastic round of golf but will never be a pro golfer as I'm not consistent. That's the game and let's hope Guly builds on this performance because not only was he running off the ball well but he also got on the score sheet twice. I will eat humble pie today though and accept that maybe I shouldn't have laughed when his first 'shot' ended up with a throw in 20 yards from the goal line - fair play Guly, please keep this going for the rest of the season now.

Tactic change for the 2nd half made a huge difference - what a great feeling on New Years day and also getting back in time to see Poopey being trounced. Could have been 7 or 8 for us today but very happy I put a fiver on Saints to win 4-0 but next time could they the final goal score a little earlier than the 92nd minute pls

Yeah - being in the Kingsland at the opposite end and knowing how we rip into the opposing fans when "you thought you had scored, you were wrong, you were wrong", I must admit I had to wait a good 5 seconds before celebrating that it really had gone in. The turn and shot looked fantastic but it was one of those that looked like it had hit the side netting. Glad it went in!

I expect the likes of Jaidi and Fonte to have a few problems hitting the target from 10 yards out but when a midfielder is in that position at least three times in a match and fails to hit target then I'm afraid that's a bad performance. Take his free header in the first half * - it was though he thought the goals were still set up for the pre-match warm up - miles off ! * one example of many during the game

Fantastic performance after their goal went in. However, we had two other warnings before that goal and didn't seem to learn. Really impressed with Oxo's workrate again and thought that Lambo and Lallana had good games. However, people have asked why the Guly bashing - OK he may have made the sapce and got in the positions but we can't afford to miss sitters in this league. I can remember at least three times when he was in a goal scoring opportunity and finished like a Sunday league player. We're playing League One with sights on the Championship - Guly needs to step up and start finishing those opportunities (or at least hit target). Whilst I'm on a moan - Chaplow is another one who doesn't do it for me. He was lucky not to be booked for the first freekick he gave away a few mins before his booking - stupid backward kick on a player he was tackling. He runs and runs and runs which is admirable but is too clumsey on tackles. Anyhow, the rest of the boys did alright And well done to Mick behind be in Kingsland who had £10 on Jaidi to score first in the 2nd half at 33/1. When he gave me his betting slip I thought it was a late Xmas present for me - sadly he took it back.
