And what was the ref's excuse for missing the VVD shirt pull? If he didn't notice he did have two dudes with flags - and the 4th official could have given that one from the car park. Jose is right, we need more honesty from officials blah blah rant etc.

I thought it was a great bit of satire at first....sadly I think it's just people thinking out loud, and making ruthless but valid electioneering points that you don't want people to hear. I think I'd be more upset if I was a hardworking family who is now being targeted for cuts in a U-turn from the manifesto message. It seems the turkeys voted for Christmas.

as do car accidents.

Did anyone else happen to notice the difference between the fortunes of pompey and Saints this weekend? One might suggest that it demonstrates the gulf between us quite nicely. We could only muster a handful of supporters for the trip to London, who all booed the team before leaving early - whereas the mighty pompey packed the park with owners of the club and battled their way against the odds to a valuable point against the Galacticos of champions-elect Yeovil. And they've got a book out. #jealous

That keeps them joint top. If you take into account their pluckiness, passion and the two league titles just after the Crimean War.
-
Oh, I hadn't considered that.

I would imagine that an insurance claim could be Plan A for funding a new ground. They won't do it any other way. I seem to recall that Redknapp's useless rundown seafront building suffered a terrible fire that led to new apartments. Not quite as many as he hoped, but the profit must have helped him get over the shock of the fire.

48.48%? That can't be right, they keep telling us they own the club, not less than half of it. I'm no mathematician but shouldn't the number be something like 100% to claim ownership?

That pic of Moran made me chuckle! Well I was an angry young man on page 698. Funny how five years on, some of the few still don't understand what happened. We must be due another attendance debate pretty soon, though I see their full houses aren't looking that full. Top of the table, fan-owned, biggest club south of London but still not packing the park?....time to build a bigger stadium!

Facebook? More like ******book... Let's fight cancer - if you don't pass this on it means you love cancer! Plus all the racist scaremonger stories about made-up shops refusing to serve imaginary soldiers, or terrorists trying to get cricket banned, myths happily promoted by thousands of simpletons. It's like Fox News and their campaign to tell America that Birmingham is under Islamic law and no one British is allowed in the city. The most worrying aspect is the number of people out there who question nothing - and by endorsing stuff they just promote hate and ********, fueled by their own stupidity. I firmly believe that the only way we can prevent this is by randomly passing between us a low-res stock image of a candle of hope. I heard that one guy didn't pass it on and his genitals went bad and he died, another bloke did pass it on and he won the lottery, the very same day. Do the right thing.

What is this thing you call luck?
-
Of course.....and you are going to travel and meet a tall dark stranger.
-
A mystery man wandered in, predicted the future, bent some spoons with his mind and then left.... Perhaps he'll stop while he's ahead and protect that 100% record.

If you can wait for two CVAs, that £16.99 will come down to three pence, which you can spread over five years. It's the pompey way.

Franny Benali wins 'Celebrity Fundraiser of the Year'
rallyboy replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
He is da man. Well deserved award, and it was great to see him on the running track at SMS. -
If you are feeling low there are now three things that will always make you smile. The statue of Ted, Penny going off the top board and that 'corner'.
-
You wouldn't think a corner could make you laugh out loud. I think it was the anticipation that added to the spectacle. Possibly the worst attempt at a corner since Marc Bolan's girlfriend gave him a lift home.

some fans may have given a banana to black guys - it was just for fun. Muttered the out-of-touch puppet of Putin, desperately defending a world cup that was won during a wave of corruption and will no doubt be held against a backdrop of protesters being beaten in the streets while the whole world looks the other way. There is no racism in Russia, but it has come from overseas....he added, contradicting his own crazy statements. So the problem is a bloody foreign one! - coming over here, being racist to itself. Idiot.
-
Ha! So he ****ed Cook around at Chesterfield and the boss has got his own back... 'Yes mate, all forgotten now, come and play for pompey - oh by the way, I've loaned you to Havant!'

Luke Shaw suffers double leg fracture against PSV
rallyboy replied to Singapore Saint's topic in The Saints
Nasty injury, I hope he makes a full recovery and gets back to his best. He was great for us, we got very good money and he left to further his career on a bigger stage. Sad to see him on a stretcher. But in the cold light of day, an opportunity for Bertrand with England? -
Nigel Adkins Interview (Saints YouTube channel, Monday)

That was great - it looked to me like a belated bit of official recognition for the vital role he played in our rise. Well deserved, what a great era, what a top bloke. -
Money Penny hops aboard the gravy train and fills her boots, making it into the top ten in the country for expenses!... She billed the taxpayer £186,977.70 last year. For two full time members of staff and five part time?... All that research and she still thinks the city gets £13m for every home game. I'm glad we are all in this together.
-
Well if you went to West Brom and didn't like the atmosphere, you need to look in the mirror and up your game! Rather than moaning on here, how about getting together with some of your fellow moanees and organising some sort of community singing workshops? The rest of us who didn't go will judge you on your next game, though we will obviously rely on your version of events to tell us if you have got your act together or not... Good luck with all that, let's see if you can break down that shameful wall of silence - the wall I heard singing OWTS on TV.
-
Probably a guess by the journalist - and half of that amount may well have gone on the ground safety + the elusive Championship floodlights this summer. So I reckon that many of the club's benefits of the Tesco deal are already gone, though the property developers are doing fine. That deal was landlockedtastic. #jealous

Nigel Adkins Interview (Saints YouTube channel, Monday)
rallyboy replied to jawillwill's topic in The Saints
While we have all moved on quite nicely, his achievement of taking us straight through the Championship with little fuss should never be underestimated. Anyone for the play-offs? Top bloke.
