So the man who refused to recognise the validity of the UK legal system has now done a U-turn. Whatever his crime, yes he is entitled to make a claim - a claim that can be dismissed in 30 secs on day one if it has no merit. But should he succeed then the amount he's awarded should be placed in an account and given to him on the day of his release....

There's only one bridge that he pays money to cross.

Yeah, gullible paper taken in by shallow Christmas PR story shock.
-
I suspect they may be JUST within their means with no forward planning for the ground, the future - or the next managerial payoff. They carry a big squad and talk of cutting it back, they couldn't show a profit despite attendances and they keep asking other people to chip in. Also I believe the recent figures on agents, supports the theory that they are right on the limits, chucking every penny at the problem and not doing nicely. I don't see any signs of a club that's financially sound.

They know there is only one team that will fill Fatpipes. Sure I'd like to smash them a bit in the cup but it's funnier to begrudge them any income and let them draw a fellow minnow away.

I think the mighty Kenyan has played himself onto the bench for a few games. A few more could do with a kick up the ar$e - preferably by someone who can hit it.
-
That went well!
-
Nice image, I can't understand why the club has never appealed to big professional investors.

You look at some of the keeper mistakes going on around the Premier League and he looks a safe pair of hands. If anyone thinks he was to blame the other night please do list the 4 or 5 he should have saved.... He was just horribly exposed to lethal finishing.

Gypsy Vapes - what the ****?

A good thing for football if Bolton go bust? Man, my work here is done, the jokes are writing themselves.
-
If rumours are anything to go by they'll have Bolton coming down to join them pretty soon - two sleepy giants living on past glories and locked together in a lower league suicide pact. But let's not forget, it's proper football down there, Bovril, casual racism and flat caps - not like the nasty Premier League where the teams that spend the most win everything.

Wow, that even surprised me and I always assume the worst! Over £5k a week to agents, when they can't afford to pay a player that sort of money? Any talk of living within their means ends right there. 268 of the people who donated £1,000 have just seen their money drive straight out of the city and up the A3 in a Bentley, never to be seen again. And if these agents have discovered that the golden goose is back in business, no wonder their players keep wanting to play for the biggestest club in the land. Fatpipes is once again laying golden turds and the greedy flies are buzzing around, just like they did back in the days of Storrie and Redknapp.

I see York City are talking about contesting the red card. If successful, where do they collect their six goals and point?
-
Indeed, had he not come on and changed the game against Stoke we could well have lost it.
-
Like us they were also denied a blatant penalty. If anything that ref was too big for their game and was following secret orders from the league. Whereas our ref was just a ****.

I haven't been brave enough to watch the TV version yet but his inconsistency was bizarre. Couldn't clearly see the Pelle claim but the player reaction said much, and I did see a swinging arm on Cedric, and players scuffling - none of which apparently warranted yellows. The professional foul by Adams looked textbook yellow at the time - I can only assume that JWP went in high with studs, it looked ordinary in the ground. It was an unusual refereeing performance.

still equal top.
-
Possibly the dullest interview of all time. But as long as none of their opponents make unfair use of the wind I'm still expecting the world's sleepiest giant to rip up the division, whatever the growling scouser says.
-
They should just remember that it was an honour to be a creditor of such a big club.
-
They look too expensive for me - but I guess SussexSaint would be happy to splash out on Penny's jugs.

This thread now has socks appeal.

A museum?? Toilets through the ages? The history of seating between 1850 and 1950? At least people will be able to see the tables and chairs from HMS Victory, the press box from HMS Warrior, the turnstile from Churchill's war office kitchen and the shroud of Turin.

They must be looking forward to that 3rd round draw....if they can progress.
