  1. You want to run away to pompey and get married?
  2. While they are likely to be hovering around joint top for the season, I reckon they still have that self-destruct button that can derail the simplest of promotion campaigns. It'll be interesting to see if they can go a few matches without a hiccup.
  3. You have to respect pompey for making a stand on the import of foreign players, it comes on the back of their brave stance to only play English players when they were in the Premier League. Perhaps had they stuck to only accepting English money as well they would.....well, they'd be a small note in a history book.
  4. Forget the holidaymakers - I suspect most of the traffic congestion in that quarter of the country will be down to the mighty blue army making its plucky way to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Cook's battling troops as they proudly battle their way back through the divisions, one little rip at a time.
  5. Koeman's pursuit of Martina says more about the state of the Everton squad than anything else. I wish him well, great goal etc - but let's not pretend we were building our defence around him.
  6. I'm starting to build a profile of man on the street and it doesn't look good...
  7. New role at Portsmouth for ex-Cheltenham Town boss Mark Yates has been doing some scouting for League Two Portsmouth while he waits for an opportunity to return to management.... Interesting.....this can't be forward planning surely?
  8. The promotion charge is up and running - if the division was laid on its side they'd be joint top! (Cook keeps his job for another three weeks)
  9. They haven't, it's still 1950 down there.
  10. Referring to his players, their manager is unwavering in his belief they are of the calibre to guide the club out of League Two... The current table supports his theory. Looks like we are revisiting the old problem of we want to continue to pretend that we own the club but we want other people to finance it. Listen up everyone, this might be news to some - YOUR FAN-OWNED BUSINESS MODEL IS FLAWED!
  11. Experience tells me these funny defeats against fellow minnows just get wiped from history as soon as they turn a corner, so make the most of them. If they beat Greendale on Saturday and Trumpton the following week they'll be right up the top - even more joint top than they are now. It's early days.
  12. Ouch! That is a new low.
  13. I didn't even know Morecambe had a team... Their fixture list reads like a railway timetable of delight for trainspotters - they get to go to little stations that only the hardiest of travellers will ever visit.
  14. While they have plenty of time to sort it out so they are still likely to go up, why have they not attempted to solve the annual problem of not being able to break teams down? Every season they draw games because of this, when will this simple truth dawn on their manager? Even I'm getting annoyed about it now, and I generally find that sort of thing funny.
  15. Bankrupt, then little.
  16. They've managed to dodge us again.
  17. At least it won't take long to get away from the ground. One of only 5 clubs out of 92 still able to fit their away following in one vehicle.
  18. You have to admire a joke with a Naval theme!
  19. I forgot that - and that our ground is really owned by the council because we are bankrupt.
  20. A fantastic crowd for League Two, it shows they are a huge club... Though there were more at SMS today for a pointless friendly - and that little reality check will hurt.
  21. That is the funniest addition to the media template that I've seen in ages! Nice to see the old favourites are still there though - passion, sell-outs, sleepy giant, massive wage increase etc.
  22. I was offered that ludicrous myth the other week so it is now a fact on Portsea. Tis written in stone, it cannot be denied...
  23. That could possibly be the worstest walkout in history! You won't be able to tell if three people have gone to the loo or marched out defiantly against the authorities.
  24. It says much about them when visitors feel the need to bring their own tablecloth.
  25. It is a division devoid of quality - you look around at the other clubs and wonder how pompey have managed to stay there as long as they have while ******ing money down the drain. Fair play to them. For Cook to take the resources available to him and create the results he has, makes him quite special.
