This is all I wanted really, its inevitable these players will leave, I just wanted some backbone
-
Not really, you’ve just not applied any logic to your comment whatsoever so I thought Id do the same

Needing a passport to have a wank
-
Lovely guy, I was best mates with his son at college but we lost touch Really lovely family
-
433 all pre season
-
So we don’t wish we were Ipswich now ?
-
Because they desperately needed to
-
I think we’ll be a different beast this year, shift a few heads, get some wins and momentum, new manager, new league We were horrendous last year but it was as much tactical as technical I think mainly people still underestimate the current gulf in class between the Prem bottom 5 and Champ top 6, and its getting worse. Birmingham have spent 50m, and we still have a better first 11 and MUCH stronger squad and we’ve not started spending yet And it might be seen as arrogant, but most of the unbiased public agree, anything less than automatics for us and Ipswich is an awful season
-
You’re more than welcome to peruse other clubs forums, youtube pundits and bookies, who all put us rather comfortably top 2 or 3, and its because…. Checks notes… we have better squads than 90% of the league What we do moving forward with the talent we have is up in the air, we need Still to not be a flash in the pan.. we probably need Archer, AA or Downs to have a good season, but overall its more likely than not that we’ll be punching above the rest.. so no.. its not ‘arrogant’ its how things stand on paper Yes… we were horrendously shit last year, but we’re not in the prem, we’re not managed by a shouty authoritarian or a overly friendly possession freak, and clearly you don’t appreciate the fall off in quality between the parachute clubs and the rest This post sums it up more succinctly than I could 👇
-
If and when we do see you’ll be nowhere to be seen with a ‘I was wrong’ Have a sit down, change your bed sheets and lets see where we are in September
-
Lol Even without TD and MF is comfortably a playoff side at minimum You don’t realise the gulf in quality between prem and champ and the growing gulf growing between the now PL yoyo clubs and rest of the division
-
Leicester - Mavadidi, Fatuwu, El Khannouss, Ndidi - No real rumours around them yet tbh but Id expect El Khannouss to go atleast Ipswich - Delap, Hutchinson, Davis ? - Delaps gone, there’s noise around Hutchinson The thing is, for us, we have two very very good youngsters in Dibling and Fernandes, so its fairly obvious they’ll go… of everyone mentioned Id put them two, Khannouss and Delap on similar levels, and Id imagine they’ll all be gone come window close
-
As I said if we get an opportunity too good to pass up then yeah, go for it but I wouldn’t want to hamstring us financially in a position we don’t massively need to change this year I don’t really know enough about Ryan tbh
-
If he ends up being awful Ill own that opinion, im not scared to front up to my predictions I think he’s good enough to get us out of the division and spending on a keeper thats unlikely to win us many more points is not a good financial decision
-
No I agree Id probably like to have a new No.1, but as Ive said before I don’t see the point; - Our squad needs are more pressing in other areas - Baz/McCarthy are easily good enough in this division behind a defence not instructed to add pressure - We don’t know the longterm destination of Ramsdale - Anyone we buy now will likely not be good enough for the prem Of course, if a deal presents itself then Im all for it, but overall Baz has looked more than capable in pre season
-
Where is the chaos ? We’ve signed a player in two of the 3 positions we openly said we needed and have managed to shift some deadwood for prices above we thought we would get Pretty far from chaotic tbh
-
I dunno, Im not sure we are going to sell for the sake of it, Im not sure what the figures are we need to cover but 90m seems about right, I doubt we’ll be far from that with a sale of Dibling OR Fernandes, and Id imagine the club have prepared for the loss of one or both Outside that its obvious that ABK will go, at some value point, then it’ll be up to Still to decide on the CBs he wants and Id find it hard to argue that Edwards isn’t part of that which leaves a toss up between Sanda and Wood but Id hedge my bet that Wood is sold on a permanent, hopefully to Rangers
-
Was comfortably one of the better CBs in the league at that level, thats all that really matters now
-
I genuinely always forget about Wood, which I guess tell you everything we need to know, god knows Again a good CB at this level, my guess is he’ll be off because we surely cannot carry this many CBs, and surely he makes the most sense to release, technically Nico Lawrence is a CB too
-
THB, Edwards and Quarshie or even Stephens (If we have too) is a very solid back 3 for this level, I really hope we keep him
-
40m doesn’t usually get you a Dani Olmo level player these days at all 40m Is a fairly standard price for an average prem player really, we just unfortunately can’t afford to shop in those circles anymore
-
Ahh ok So if all of the unlikely things happen then I guess in your world of make believe it might happen I guess I have a shot at bumping into a naked Sydney Sweeney in the Winchester PureGym sauna that they havn’t built yet
-
Likely right, in which case Ill assume its Sesay again We look light in that area tbh
-
I thought he was excellent at Hull, which was why Villa took a punt
-
I imagine the same boat as us with Tyler and Fernandes, think if the fee’s right he’ll leave but depends if there’s suiters Philogene and Hutchinson are huge for this league though
