  1. He’s bought into a multi club model, not just Southampton.. we’re still purchasing other clubs for that multi club partnership, its simply not effective if the flagship club is in the Championship People keep forgetting that.. yes they’re probably in it for the profit, but its a long term strategy
  2. After 2-3 we look weak… we’re in the Championship mate And we probably have the best depth in the division
  3. Pretty much bang on how I see it, we recruited Shea and Manning early, because we clearly knew they’d be in demand and would likely need them, Shea looks great and Manning Im 50/50 on… but you can’t bemoan that signing, on paper from last year he looked very good I think we expected to lose Lyanco earlier, unfortunately it didn’t materialise, he’s on good money and we probably need him gone to properly sanction a move for a CB which is dissapointing and as a fan I want to see more depth there but here we are 🤷‍♀️ The bedwetting is a bit OTT though; GK - Bazunu, McCarthy, Lumley CB - Bednarek, Stephens, ABK, Lyanco, Awe LB - Manning, Perraud, Larios RB - KWP, Bree CM - Charles, Downes, Smallbone AM - Alcaraz, Stu Armstrong, Aribo RW - Tella, Sulemana, Amo-Amenyaw LW - Edozie, Sulemana, Djenepo ST - Arma, Che Adams I appreciate we all want to see new blood coming into the team and I do believe we’ll see it but that squad is already more than capable of winning promotion but also is too bloated. Of course we want to, and SR want to be promoted, but we also need to position ourselves correctly, the way FFP affects clubs at this level means you get only 2/3 bites before the restraints start hurting you. That squad probably needs a CB and a CM to be, arguably the best ‘squad’ in the Champ, of course we need to still get a tune out of it but still. Id also expect us to strengthen any positions we lose our starters in Chill.. there is a week left
  4. Hopefully, I like the look of him
  5. This is the part of the window that’s effectively Wellington holding the battlefield… almost time for Blucher to win the day
  6. Yeah we need reinforcements, I don’t see why we havn’t moved for a CB yet really.. I do wonder if we’re waiting for more dominoes to fall and are gambling on better options in a week but.. Id say we need 1 x CM and 1 x CB.. no more than that A striker if Che leaves and a further CB if ABK leaves
  7. Exactly
  8. Are you expecting us to spend 140m in the Champ ?
  9. Im quite surprised we aren’t in for him for 12m tbh Seems reasonably cheap for known quality that also knows the system and manager
  10. You mean they can’t just bend over and take the first offer instead of pushing for a valuation they’re happy with ?
  11. If Leicester sell Daka they’ll be in the race
  12. You expect us to spend 140m in the Championship?
  13. I actually thought it was a decent window, but not signing a striker doomed us I still think if we appointed a manager anywhere near competent we’d of been ok.. Jones doomed us
  14. Ive had a look through and actually its reported that City want 15-20m so not as bad as I first thought But Fulham and Burnley have been sniffing so he’s probably out of our reach Personally I don’t take much notice of what the majority of football fans think because generally they don’t know what they’re talking about
  15. He’s back training, he’s apparently been ‘ill’ He’ll be off, im 90% sure of it
  16. We have their ex academy director and clearly we have strong links, rightly or wrongly They probably have the best academy in the prem right now, atleast one of… if we are getting preferential terms on players that Wilcox knows intimately then Im here for it
  17. When you look at the overall metrics for both Wood and Harwood Bellis they are both very close, HB is younger and and U21s captain.. overall Id probably be more comfortable signing him, but both look good options at this level If Wood is available at around 10m and City want circa 30m for HB then it probably makes sense to push for wood, especially as he knows the RM system
  18. Not for me thanks
  19. Isn’t Archer more similar to Armstrong then Che ? If so.. I can’t see us moving for Archer
  20. I understand it, and Ill wait to Sept to see what we do, but Im still disappointed with it Im generally pretty optimistic as far as Saints/SR is concerned BUT this feels a bit cheap really, Id of preferred closer to 20m
  21. Pretty disappointed with that if Im honest 3/3… suits the system well 15m feels cheap considering the potential impact on our season
  22. It must be draining finding negativity in everything
  23. His passing stats are abysmal, Im not sure its much of a concrete link either Im not overly impressed if it is
  24. Id actually like to see him loaned out, he showed good promise in France and I do think there is a player in there.. so lets see If so then yeah we’ll need 2 in probably, if/when we sell Adams Onuachu just isn’t suitable at all, so im not really even counting him
  25. Oh… missed that sorry Point still stands, he’ll get picked up in Europe and will almost certainly return in a year or two imo
