Saints Sign Filip Djuricic on loan from Benfica
Smirking_Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
In an aushwitz rememberance year I fid it utterly despicable that this sort of thing goes on in the workplace -
I gave it a go, I just find it so incredibly boring. As a coach I quite like tactics etc and how they affect games of football so I thought that NFL would be excellent with the plays etc Surely they must only really 'play' about 15mins ? The rest is talking, getting ready and adverts ? Fair play to those that like it and I genuinely hope you enjoyed it, just think its amazingly overelaborate. And so very american. Give me footie any day

No thats ben arfa
-
And unfortunately Ramirez too

He barely touched the ball To anyone that knows the game its a foul and showed plenty of intent
-
He doesnt want to move south anyway
-
Surprise
-
I imagine its because there is nobody available for the money we are willing to spend considering we will need to find around that level for wages and transfer fees for Bertrand, Toby and Elia aswell as contractual terms for Clyne, Morgan, Jay potentially. Possibility of a loan but there noone available with any pedigree
-
We have a good feeling in and around the club right now, so its not worth the risk for me. Yes he has talent in there somewhere, yes we need a striker. But we dont need a player that seems to struggle to integrate into any sort of social situation.
-
After watching a few obligatory youtube vids Im not massively impressed. Not what we need right now IMO
-
Maybe, I judge it by how Id react to the challenge and Id probably have got up and nutted him Poor challenge for me, think its known as a leveller
-
Stunning Kate riley also a personal favourite
-
Yeah, agree that a 3 game ban is harsh but I suppose it is what it is. It was daft. And an obvious red. What annoys me is if he wanted to win the ball he would've done it properly, for me, it looks like he has tried harder ensuring barrow feels the follow through which makes him almost miss the ball
-
Cork was better yes but realistically we have two of the best DMs in the league with Toby, Reed, Davis and even JWP that can play there if required so Im not too much panic If anything its a GK or Pellè injury that will shaft us
-
Hopefully, worryingly he got nowhere near the low crosses either, what worried me most yesterday was that we put enough decent crosses into the box and nobody got anywhere near them

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 0-1 Swansea

He was but him and elia still took up much of the same positions -
The brown tackle was a red card, getting the ball is largely irrelevant
-
When was he caught coming off his line ?
-
He couldve done better possibly but in reality its hit hard, well and is moving so is very difficult. He did well to get to it, so I cant really be blame him too much IMO. His crappy clearance to save a corner was however pretty poor

Pretty much what I saw, Ive nothing wrong with a patient build up but you need to mix it up a bit. We managed to get behind them but never really turned them around and yes they were able to get themselves organised far too easily. I think thats why Mane cane on to, in order to try and turn them around. In reality as was said on another thread Mane and Elia got in each others way. Pelle was pretty poor today for me, made a nuissence of himself and had a few flicks but never really held it up or ever got into any decent goalscoring positions. He should have got on the end of one of our many crosses but was often too deep -
All the pundits agree it was a red then, and the more I watch it thebmore it looks a red. He clearly looks to clear him out, and he had plenty of time to time that tackle better, in fact it was so bad he almost missed the ball altogether. Thankfully we have targett who is an able understudy as that was IMO a moment of madness from Ryan
-
Hopefully he'll get some game time out on loan
-
Your right but that change wouldnt really have effected anything really. He took a gamble, which personally Im sort of glad he is willing to go for the jugular
-
Because nobody got on the end of any of them
