Think its innevitable that we will lose players, there isnt, regardless of what people say, a team in the world thats immune to it. That said, I dont think we will see the exodus that we did in the summer (though it worked out well) one way or another players were unhappy, we seem so far from that now. Realistically though, they'll always be a financial element, but if we keep looking progressive then we will stand a better chance of holding on to our talents

I agree fwiw, just putting into context. I think part of our issues last year was our lack of an incisive front man. I agree we probably have more than 10m, but we dont know that, january is generally a very difficult time to get people through the door amd personally I wouldnt mind Rickie as backup

Whether you think its right or wrong, we wouldnt get a better backup for pelle right now for under 10m, so if the choice is the return of SRL or likely no back up then I think Ill choose SRL

Yes I questioned this board early on, but I dont think I was unjustified during what was the darker days of summer, yes I questioned Ralphs ability, but its the here and now that matters now, and what an excellent job they have proven to have done. Markus' legacy is now forever etched in our history, with what has turned out to be a magnificent piece of work that hopefully will see us through the future now and I really am proud of that. Cortese may have started it (and in reality stoped it, started it, stoped it, started it ad infinitum ) but ultimately it was Markus' dream and money and I have to say a massive congratulations to Mr Reed who I know had a lot to do with its ultimate development So proud of what this club is right now Thank you leibherr's

You still have to be able to take points from the top teams, and right now I, aswell as many others, are trying to curtail my optimism by pointing out the fact that we have had a reasonably easy start, and the two top teams we have played we have lost to. Now, you could temper that with the fact that we have played Swansea a d West Ham and won, both were form teams at the time. Regardless of who you think is better neither ings nor austin would fit with the way we play which woulfd be a pretty fundamental flaw tbh.....

We wont go for broke and I doubt that the 30 mil is 'burning a hole' Im sure if the right player comes up then we will potentially stump up the cash for them. We need a back up keeper, but this will likely be an older aquisition, you wont likely get a brilliant keeper as backup but hopefully someone who could certainly do a shift if required. The other area we are lacking is backup to Pellè considering he is fundamental to how we play. Someone like Benteke or Bony. But both of those are unlikely. Harry Kane has been mentioned. Again unlikely in reality. Something else to think about is how we stand on FFP, although recieving funds this year we spent a lot out, no doubt paying reasonable wages aswell.

Early days yet, I think Id rather wait and see how we are after the Dec run. And that will be a big test. Can we finish top four ? Unlikely IMO but there is a genuine realistic hope, essentially there are a few teams stuttering this year, apart from Chelsea of course. If we hit that run with confidence high and a lack of injuries then we could be in with a shout, but winning enough games in that run to maintain a top four finish ? Probably unlikely, as much as I am hopeful Genuinely think we can reach the final of the league cup though, and hopefully top 6 I can dream about top four though, its possible, but like I said, unlikely
