Doubtfull He tends to go for blood when he smells it, as exampled in the West Ham game I fully expect Tadic to be more central of the forward 3 but licensed to roam

Gerrards passed it this year really, its just not working for him or the team. But then they are setting up differently to last year. You can hardly say he wasnt effective, the media fawned over him until the end of the season, plus Squawka had him as the best midfielder in the prem from a statistics point of view (interceptions, tackles, goals and assists). All in all though from a ball playing point of view he is still class, just doesnt have the targets at his disposal. Onto Rodgers though, he spent a large amount of money on dross. Failed to replace Suarez at any level and did nothing except add extra pressure to his squad. All in all I dont get the fuss about Rodgers, apart from last year he did not set the world alight and that was largely Suarez' doing... Not his

Been watching MOTD2, the small highlights that the BBC showed of the spurs game got me thinking that Poch has, by the looks of things, abandoned the way he played under is. They seem to play a much quicker counter attack, with less possession, barely any high press and appear to attempt to play offsides. I dont really harbour any real hatred to the man, in fact, I almost wanted to see him do ok. But it just strikes me as a silly move from both Poch and Levy. Effectively - Poch has moved from a comfortable position with little pressure to manage a team of prima donnas who are none of his own purchases and that seemingly do not fit with his own philosophies. And that compounded by the fact that their scouting department is non existant and working under the poison dwarf. Levy has signed a manager that doesnt fit in with the players he has at the club, despite his obvious talents as a coach. Failed (on the surface) to back him at any great deal in the transfer market and as always, puts his managers under pressure. Im so glad we have the model we have, attenpting to keep consistant in our philosophy and recruitment.

It wont happen

Yup, turks is the one with the trolley Sorry BFF On another note Im surprised that there is any of the older generation still shopping in Sainsburys after their frankly abhorant advert which quite frankly glorified war and ****ed all over the graves of our brave veterans etc etc

JANUARY - Who will go, Who will stay and Who will arrive?

Let it go Viking, you'll have plenty to splutter about if we lose a couple over December and people start losing the plot -
I genuinely hate that bloke

The Black Box - the reason Cork has no new contract?
Smirking_Saint replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
Ill invite him up the Farmers Home for one then, or a run around the rec -
So its not really comparable is it ? Fwiw I think they are entirely beatable, especially the way we are playing, however looking at the facts, we havnt beaten anyone from last years top 6 yet
-
I just dont understand how anyone can slag off Redmond and decide that Redmond is worth 8m frankly
-
Ill be honest, Wanyama is a lot better than cork in the position that he plays and IMHO JWP isnt a long way off being atleast at the same level as Cork but offers more going forward. Corks ok, he won't let you down, he is consistant. But he just isnt exceptional anywhere unfortunately.

By your own mention you need to win a major trophy to be a great. Neither Shearer nor Lineker qualify here.

The Black Box - the reason Cork has no new contract?
Smirking_Saint replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
Thinking about it, if, for instance, the club sees a definate future in borh Prowse and Reed then it would make sense allowing Cork to move on and give them a positive avenue into the first team. -
Im led to believe this was a massive part in the defences case. I mean come on, Ched and Clayton.... Straight out of the southern states.
-
So because she could consent to his mate it was obviously fine for Ched to cone along and get involved ? Top logic that
-
He was convicted as the girl in question was ruled, at the time to not be in a position to make a concious or informed decision about consenting to sex. Thats regardless of how much she had consumed. In which case, no, I can honestly hold my hand up and say I have not, if you have then it just about sums you up. Out of courtesy can you decide whether you want to continue debating this on the live thread or over PM ? Its bad enough 'debating' with you once, I dont particularly want to do it twice.

Not really, not called you a rapist at all, but in your own words; "It's one of those dodgy situations that I guarantee a lot of us know from University. As my mate said to me a month or so ago, it could have happened to any of us...The key is when is a girl too drunk, and when is consent not consent due to inhibiting factors."

The Black Box - the reason Cork has no new contract?

I said last year of our midfield he is the most likely to be replaced, he is decent, a good allrounder but generally has no one attribute that sets him apart like some of the others. I dont think you need a black box to work that out. -
Its pretty obvious they've copped a strop as effectively they have lost out on a player that would improve the team, and unfortunately, in the world of football thats generally all that matters. But regardless of anything said, and regardless if 'Unbelievable DPS Jeff' who, apparantly is into a bit of similar activities as Ched himself (nice bloke all round) believes, Ched is a convicted Rapist, convicted by a jury of his peers and sentanced by an appointed judge. Regardless of anyones thoughts, he is a ****ing rapist, end of discussion. Lets not make this into a story about the regabilitation of offenders etc either. Because as much as he is entitled to rebuild his life, he has made his mistake and must live with it. He would now struggle to find work in most proffessional organisations, so why is it acceptable to work in the public eye, within which, looking at social media in particular he is a role model (god help us)
-
Maybe, but Ive seen a lot of players at a lot of levels, and I dont think Ive called many wrong. With the obvious exclusion of McGoldrick who I commented may make a half decent CM rather than trying to play as a main striker (and if he wasnt so bloody lazy) Do I think SG has potential, possibly, but I see him at the moment ending up at Championship level consistantly unless there is a noticeable improvement over the next few years. He just doesnt seem to have it yet. But then plenty can happen over the next few years for him, but the most important thing for him is games. Hopefully we will get some back up to enable that. As right now (if he was fit) waiting around for half a game every now and again isnt helping us or him.

Yes but this is a time in which most people believe that politicians are; Only thinking of themselves, eliteist Idiots who are out of touch with the people. So its a bit short sighted to basically prove it on social media

What you really need to do is create a Xmas good natured add that uses something completely detestable as a metaphor. Plenty to work with still..
