Well done Les Reed and the Scouting department...
Smirking_Saint replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
He was always an excellent signing despite the mongs who made hilarious names up to ridicule him. Ok, he had a horrendous appointment at Charlton but ultimately was not brought in to coach but to develop the support functions at St Marys. He has had a hand in the training ground, academy, scouting, sport science and preparation before ganes etc including travel and accomodation. He was an excellent appointment by Cortese at the time and Katherina made an excellent job of keeping him on. Deserves his praise -
How much is it ? Stv was v good

We did, there were subtle differences to tactics last year in a similar way to Koeman this. The main difference is that Koemans team doesnt seem as rigid in their operation as they were under Poch. As much as Poch's team was well disciplined, for me I felt that they didnt take enough risks, and tried to probe too much. Koeman is so effective as he allows the team to maintain the press from lower on the pitch but allows the players to take risky passes, dribbles and shots. Most teams with successful tactics will play that way more often then not, last year we didnt have the players to 'change' tactics with either, possibly something missed in the window under pochs tenure. Besides, last year was my favourite season since the FA cup year, before poch left most would argue that you were being picky talking about his faults, now he is full of them which is in reality classic crap from fickle football supporters. This isnt a slight on the excellent Koeman though, as much as I loved watching last years Saints due to their tactical discipline this year I love watching saints due to their cavalier excitement, and long may it continue. -
CONFIRMED: Rodriguez ruptures ACL - out for SIX months
Smirking_Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
So many top options, Tadic is incredible and is basically undropable, as is Pelle. Then you have Jay Rod who we all know about, mane who is raw but IMO looks very very good and long who despite people criticisms works so hard for the team. -
Tbh I hate everything about QPR, so its quite nice to see them ****ing it all up I actually dont mind 'arry, atleast he is a bit of a character, a bellend yes but a character. He wont last till christmas though at this rate, and if they hire Sherwood they wont last much longer after !! Think itll be hoodle though

This, the salt mines, perhaps try to take in a football match. Make sure you go to the jewish quarter after dark for a few beers or vodkas and eat in Pd Wawalem restaurant, its bavarian themed and not far from the castle. Cant stress enough visiting birkenau, you wont get the full horror of the situation if not. Also, check the weather, it was -22 when I went

Morgan Schneiderlin comments in 'France Football' magazine
Smirking_Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
He isnt that good, and I can name many far far better players. Corks market value probably sits around 5m, whereas Morgans is atleast 20m imo -
Great for clyne to finally be recognised, gibbs gets a call too who has been reasonably steady for a while. Shaw needs to up his game and fulfill his promise he showed when he left here. Shelvey is a steady player too, more versatile then henderson IMO. Townsend ? Dont get that call up really but who else is there right now ?! Striking options are week, glad welbeck is showing how good he actually is, much better then the abuse he gets from the morons and Ive said for ages that he is better than the overly greedy sturridge. Lambert is in there because theres no one else. Its still an incredibly weak squad due to a lack of decent options.

None of them groundbreaking, i get between every 2 fms maybe but every one is hardly ever very different

At the moment IF Reid, picking up for 13k and selling slowly at 19k

Ive not played a single FUT game yet, just trading up. Ill give you a game at some point. Ignore ibra, he is on loan
-
Certainly ill advised as they'll always be someone that takes offence, though Id find it hard to call it racist tbh

Belfast museum is better, thought the southampton one was ok. Like you say the way it links to the crew is haunting. But I personally thought it was overpriced for what it was. Its a prime oppurtunity to get tourists into southampton and for me it felt rushed. But again, I think Im spoiled as I saw the Belfast one first which I found to be excellent

Yeah will do now, made some investments. Waiting for things to calm as its so unpredictable right now. Prices go from being insanely high to quite low.

Cant see it myself, if true it would be a gig Id kill to be at. I just cant see it though. Weller, as much as I love the man has too much of an Ego to go back

I was recommended by fifa to play on legendary. So far ive played on legendary and world class, started ok but it seems the more i play the worse i get on career mode so far Dabbled a bit on FUT mode but prices are stupidly high and the servers keep crashing. Had 6 packs and packed van persie and hummels so thats 140k of coinage to start with

Im assuming a few of you guys are pretty experienced at fifa ultimate team Any tips as to how to grind some coins out would be much appreciated right now, not a clue

Really looking forward to this, got a quick meeting this morning then working from home. Anticipating another Europe victory though like Medina I think itll be tight. Medina was easily one of if not my favourite sporting moment however, lets hope for another epic

This really, and if you take the time to read it it isnt exactly inflationatory. Neither was the article that is mentioned in the OP either tbh. He has concededwe got away with it this year (so far) and we did, if you genuinely think it could happen everytime then you are sadly mistaken. You dont sell half a team and lose a manager and just dust yourself off like we have done, hence why the bookies and much of the press had us as relegation fodder. Realistically many of us thought we would be ok, I certainly thought we would stumble at first and recover to mid table but what the board and Koeman have achieved is excellent and Im full of praise for them. End of the day Samuals is right. With investment this team (academy willing) could propel itself to a top 6-4 team in a few years, with the right luck and investment. Realistically it wont happen, things like that dont in football these days. He is also right that if we continually adopt this years strategy then we will eventually fail, my main gripe about that is its obvious, and I just dont feel that it will happen. So I do ask myself, yes Samuals can be reactionary in regards Saints, he has in the past, but why the vitriol for his past two articles ?
