Post-Match Reaction: Swansea 0-1 SAINTS
Smirking_Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Strange game for pellè, was a nuissance and held the ball up well but his touch and passing were poor today. Still gave us a good focal point though -
Had a good game since he has been on has vic, breaks things up and keeps it simple. Davis has added energy too
-
He is
-
Gardos on, makes sense Shame for Maya as he was playing well
-
Well..... The refs terrible
-
All about the katsu curry
-
Not saying we should dominate, RK rightly or wrongly has set up to take the game to them, now they have 10 men it may work but ultimately Id of liked to have seen VW on here
-
Jesus christ fonte.....
-
Dunno why yoshi gets so much stick on here, i like him, honest player who is pretty steady for a backup cb, he hasnt looked out of place today against the physical bony
-
Bony deserved that, tbh thats a relief as he has been playing well, really causing us problems, he has been chucking himself around too much though
-
Hmmm so im seeing the fact that they are walzing through our midfield am I ? They've bossed us, basically doing to us what we did to teams last year, high press and high intensity We are much better than this, barely started yet Fwiw I like jwp a lot, but its about horses for courses, swansea were always going to control the ball and so wanyama would have been an effective shield.
-
Are you joking ? Getting overrun, taking too long on the ball, 2nd to every ball and losing every 50/50 You can tell its not going for them as on a few occasions they've not come to pick the ball up from the cbs as if they dont want it. Silly booking, will be lucky to keep 10 men on here
-
We really are slow to every ball, swansea look bang up for this
-
He has made a mistake playing jwp ahead of wanyama for me, could do with extra prescence in midfield

Did Cortese Do a Single Thing Wrong In His First Six Months?
Smirking_Saint replied to Noodles34's topic in The Saints
Div 1 was a completely different era of football, you almost have to be ruthless to get ahead these days. Ive said all along Im a football fan first and foremost and as such footballing success for me is rated higher then any other thing attached to the club. Everyone else is welcome to their opinion thats just mine. At the end of the day cortese brought massive success and helped to grow the academy and install winning and successful techniques for squad prep. Im greatful for that but as his ego grew he had to go If the new board can integrate a level of success with a much more approacheable management standard then we will have an excellent board on our hands. They recovered well this year, im excited to see where they take us As for the kit I dont really care, the new ones the best striped kit we've had for ages (the designs get boring after 2-3 seasons) so ive liked the changes, though last year was pretty crap. -
Did Cortese Do a Single Thing Wrong In His First Six Months?

Lowe made a boar load of mistakes, but ultimately until the end he had saints best interests at heart, started the academy and built the stadium. Cortese made plenty of mistakes but to say he was anything less than a success in reality is wrong, a hard nosed businessman with plenty of ego however a lot of the future success is likely to be built on his foundations. The new board, started off making mistakes, probably based on naivety, despite what looked like a bleak start to the season they've proven many people wrong and seem to have continued on from the success brought by cortese however with a lot more emphasis on reengaging with the fans So all in all the process of moving forward as a football club is dependant on the success of a multitude of factors, Id say no chairman or board is free of negative press or criticism, all you can ask is that the positives outweigh the negatives. And I think thats something we can agree on. -
Im not entirely sure it was 'designed' to offend as such, Id also argue it really isnt that offensive, but then these days there is always someone somewhere ready to play the victim
-
The graphics are phenominal, it is a bit repetetive however, Im now up to lvl 21 due to being at home incapacitated this week. Overall slightely dissapointed, with all the hype about it Im left wanting more but I still keep going back and picking it up so it cant be that bad.

There are a lot of delicate flowers in the world

The opposite to the indyref and everything Ive looked at, to me it seems its a no, its close though

Isnt there some sort of implication if they dont contribute to the national debt ? I read somewhere if we disagree to a currency union and they do not repay the debt then it could affect their credit rating ? Besides surely they will need to fund there own pension pot, I hope to god we as a nation arent going to pay for scottish national pensions, aswell as a complete withdrawal of any welfare liabilities.

Dec or jan it is then, shame as Id loved to see him back earlier but realistically id rather he didnt reinjure and our squads big enough now to cope till then
