  1. Well considering an uninjured Kompany is arguably the best CB in the world then him. Skrtel is up there as a maybe as is Vertonghan. I do think Lovren is very very good, he is the one Im really worried about losing considering that Utd, Chelsea, arsenal and liverpool are potentially going to look for CBs soon.
  2. Where this does make sense, surely there are plenty of people that would be turned by what I imagine would be a very large amount of money waved in their general direction if they decided to 'spill the beans?' The other theory is that gay sportsmen are so worried about coming out that they do not follow up their feelings ? What is needed is a couple to come out during their career so that it is destroyed as a taboo, as I said before this really shouldnt be news and personally I dont think the medias sensationalism of it makes matters worse.
  3. So what if you had (flawed I know) evidence that said person sat on a train was a suicide bomber ?
  4. A stat used by idiots for idiots
  5. Im not sure we need a striker or an attacking midfielder more then we need defensive cover in the form of a keeper and a L sided CB tbh
  6. Id definately take a punt on Ince, but we need a keeper desperately and a defender if we have cash left over
  7. Just watched the duggan family speech, can someone fill me in on what they mean by 'no justice, no peace ?'
  8. Thanks for this, Im sceptical whether the egg will arrive in one piece, did you pay for special delivery ?
  9. Yup, was very highly rated if training ground reports are anything to go by.
  10. Again though they had evidence claiming he was a bomber and had viable evidence claiming an attack was very real, added to the fact that he ran from armed police and refused to stop on multiple occasions. It was tragic, but hardly unnacceptable, if you put thr shoe on the other foot and he got away and blew up 100s of people then there would be incredible public outcry to the incompetance of the force.
  11. Indeed, I personally dont feel there is much of a keeper in there, nothing that I have seen of him proves there is. Of course confidence is always a big issue and is often misunderstood, having suffered a bout of under confidence as a player for over a year its a very real issue and coaching doesnt solve it. Perhaps we can send Gazza out to regain some confidence in himself however again most confidence sufferers you can see talent is there (see Hart/Torres) but with Gazza I dont. Going into the replacement arguement I find it astonishing. As I said before I can understand keeping Fox and relying on Jos/Yoshi as in reality I think Yoshi is good enough and Jos should only be required in extreme cases (god knows what happened) and similar with Fox as realistically you have Shaw, Chambers, Clyne to cover the positions with Fox as backup. Both reserve keepers however are just terrible, why this was missed is incredible.
  12. Of course there is a balance, I fully agree with the second analogy. Though the US must be another place within which policing must be incredibly difficult considering the ease of gaining a firearm there. I suppose this means that those less trained would eventually be given firearms due to the dangers which has its own obvious issues.
  13. Well... He was in a gang and had collected a gun which was found at the scene, perhaps they could have brought him down without a kill shot, perhsps they tried ? I find calls of incompetance to be very strong, firearms officers are highly trained and are only issued in cases like this one within which dangers are present. The police have already been clipped by countless PC trials of strong force being used and IMO this indirectly led to the riots escalating. I find it rediculous that the general public want to be protected as much as possible yet arent prepared to accept the methods used. As for the water cannon, I think its an option the forces should have. Personally I believe that if you are prepared to collect a gun or be involved in civil disobedience then you basically need to be prepared for the consequences. The fact that we are discussing this proves how limp wristed we have become as a society.
  14. This, plus the fact that I think Vic seems a lynchpin to the way we play acting as a buffer between Def/Att and also acting as a third CB when we are on the attack and the FBs push forward. Plus Boruc is up there with one of the better GKs in the prem and the deputies are v poor. Im not even going to bother discussing the inadequacies of Jos/Fox
  15. I sort of agree with this. Banter gets a bad press, and yes there are an awefull lot of people that go over the line with it in the name of banter (some of it is pure abuse and should be punished) there is also the other side where the overly PC and prudish live. Examples are those that actively complain about TV shows and radio shows they dont even watch or didnt even hear. Just dont watch it ! Theres a lot I dont agree with, as funny as it probably is I dont agree with the undateables program, many do, I just dont watch it simples. As for the gay debate, we should live in a society now within which it is accepted and there isnt a need to have a front page splash everytime it happens. Its not news !
  16. The daily echo, possibly the worst rag going and inexplicably getting more expensive !!
  17. I think this is pretty much crap, Im certainly glad that we gave him time, I agree now unless he involves some real work ethic to his obvious skill and quickly then he will have to go but if it were any of the kneejerkers on here he would have been gone after a month. As per MoPo, itll be a real shame if he gors as clearly he is a talented coach, yes a few tweaks are needed but he seems like he is out of the pep school of studious and tactically able coaches. Nobody knows whats going on behind the scenes, Id suggest if there is any talk of leaving it could be to force replacements (as if that wasnt obvious that we need them) of course he could also generally think he cant deliver whats expected ?!
  18. Sounds a good deal but too small for me and I use pure gyms set anyways You do PT or just sell equipment ?
  19. Doesnt he have family this way ?!
  20. Nice highlights video, plus not sure Samaras is our answer upftont as its obviously Rhodes
  21. Vertonghan is far too good, either of the manchester sides should be looking at him. Id go for agger though.
  22. Well ok, he has only recently come back then. Though I agree he would be a good signing he would also be expensive, high wages and we could do with a CB that can play LB if he had to. Thats all IMO anyway
  23. Shaw wont go this year, I wouldnt mind talking to them about De Bruyne though, good little hard working player him.
