Well, they have gone from league 1 to mid table in the prem so Id say if they were judging success it would be a very favourable outcome.

Handed in resignation

I thought it was an injury on holiday ? Waterski ? But it makes perfect sense if it was guly..... Or Ramirez
-
Of course you would know intimate details ?
-
Hmm When did he fail ? Perhaps his chances came as he did a fair job, works hard in different positions, gave us vital assists and goals through our journey and maybe proved himself more on the training ground then Lee ?
-
He wasnt allowed tickets for his friends for a sold out game, not entirely sure how there is a massive issue there really, ok, being a club legend he probably should have been allowed but not that worried. Cortese vs the ex legends is one massive PR cock up that could have been handled better but they are all as bad as each other.
-
True, perhaps they see what Cortese can bring from a club building POV aswell as the potential finance that he could perhaps bring into the club (Im just speculating there) Anyway, I think Cortese leaving would be all but catastrophic to us from the golden plan point of view.

I wouldnt get rid of Gaston TBF, but they are slightly different players.
-
Football isnt GS' area of expertise TBF, he is better in the workd of fishing
-
Holtby would be good, hughesy would be excellent though, top temperament for a young lad. Like Pastor said he woukd fit into our system pretty perfectly, creative talent and not scared to work hard.
-
But our attacking midfielders draw in for a reason as it creates space for our fullbacks to get forward, which is where our natural width comes from. Though I wouldnt mind a pacy wide man on the bench I dont see MoPo utilising him enough as he is pretty steadfast with the way that he plays things. Itll probably be Rowe or Isgrove giving the pace options I imagine. As for The LB issue, I agree we need cover, I wonder if we can get a left sided CB that can cover here Also not entirely sure we need another striker unless we have given up on Lambert, our lack of creativity, or moreso our resistance to provide anything towards our main striker is the real issue.
-
Would be the worst possible outcome for us if he left. You wonder how attractive a job in the country of his birth at one of the biggest clubs in the world would be.
-
#iverymuchdoubtit As per Punch, looks like he hasnt learnt an aweful lot since his public spat with us then.

£30 million for for Luke Shaw should we take it?
Smirking_Saint replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
Whilst I agree, its a great offer. What if we do not need that cash and Shaw is happy for another couple of years development at the club ? An offer is only ever as good as your situation, if we dont need to sell IMO we shouldnt. -
Really wish your dad all the best, having had too many of these incidents in my family those minutes until the paramedics get there are the vital ones so hopefully he is completely out of the woods soon. So glad there were people on hand to help as times like these put everything into perspective.
-
Northam isnt a much longer way round TBF, another 5-10 mins. But yes, its a bit of a ****take, especially now its automated
-
I cant help but sorry for your loss. Have you tried youtube or even contacting the club ? May your dad rest in peace
-
Not entirely sure who is moaning at it. Were screaming out for the creativity Ramirez provided. Im just saying it opened us up a bit, which was a gamble I suppose but it worked out so im not too bothered. Id personally have taken Lambert off who was probably our worst player out there but there you go. The threads about Vic, who I feel we miss. Not as much as we missed Boruc but definately still miss.

He is an arrogant, egotistical tit that wanted out of saints. I dont like him and never have.

£30 million for for Luke Shaw should we take it?
Smirking_Saint replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
I think it is a lot of money, and the majority of me agrees that we would be mad to turn it down but I think that after reading Dig Digs and Krakens posts they dpeak a lot of sense. If we are able to turn it down why shouldnt we !? Im not saying its a degrading offer as it clearly isnt, its the world record fee for a full back. What Im saying is if that money will help then definately bite their hand off, if not, then just sit back and say no, if Shaw is happy here for the time being and we need not the money then wait. Who knows it could start a bidding war. -
What point did I miss then ? Considering I answered your two points about them pressing ? I merely observed that they found more space in our midfield when Cork went of, which they did. We can argue all day over whether in reality it was them pressing more or cork leaving the field that had more of an effect ? Neither of us can say conclusively either way TBH. Regardless Cork was having a decent game yesterday, admitedly WBA were pretty pedestrian. Were else have I missed the point ?

Post Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-0 West Brom

Yup, you fully deserve to take the moral highground after your clearly not arrogant posts of 'you were clearly not at the game' and 'if you think otherwise your an idiot' -

So I know nothing about the game as he performed the minimum expectation from a lone striker that Id expect from even a sunday league player ? Gotcha -

Is anyone debating the fact that lambert was the only poor player ? Shaw and Clyne offered him little in an attacking sense, J Rod was poor and even Morgan wasnt brilliant. In fact to me it seemed the whole team was shuddering and apart from the quick out of the blocks first 10 minutes or so nobody really shone yesterday. The CBs played well, Lallana had a decent enough game. Christ the fact that people are voting Boruc MOTM for his single save and clawing away of a cross speaks volumes. Im not overly criticising Rickie, he is a big player for us, but he was poor. Saying stuff like 'if you dont get how he was so good yesterday then your an idiot' is a bit thick really, but Ive explained why he was poor IMO so perhaps you want to point out what he did yesterday that was so effective ? -

Im also part of the footie thickie group, shame as I always thought you and Kraken knew a thing or two, unfortunately you've been brought down to my level.
