Not dissagreeing with you on that front. Just wanted to bat away your sad attempt at fishing when questioning the ability of Vic and Boruc. As per last year it was with different tactics, boruc played more often than not and the team was more settled. We are also talking about playing most of the top five which you have ignored. In short yes we need better cover. The two keepers and Jos are woefully inadequate at this level and probably low on confidence.

He really wasnt that bad at NPC level, the same as Jos. Both poor positionally but in the NPC it wasnt highlighted as much. They coukd probably both do a good job at that level and if they have to be replaced in the prem so be it.

For the average fan perhaps, anyone who knows a bit can see their value and that the replacements are just not up to it.

Ill tackle this as a serious post from you GS instead of the wind up it was probably meant to be. The balance of the side has been knocked, Gazza was terrible, Davis is better but still not Prem quality. Jos is aweful and this season Yoshi looks shaky though none moreso then when he partners Jos. Fox is a woefull defender too. I personally think with the injured parties back and give it a couple of games we should tighten up straight away, MoPo changed our style slightely to negate the hole created by Vic or made changes to the back line which never helped. If anything it shows the lack of depth in the squad but this is to be expected due to us only being in the prem 1 1/2 seasons. All in all this run hasnt been as terrible as it could of been, top opposition pulling into their prime, congested fixtures and absentees. We have done ok but anyone that didnt expect a dip in form is an idiot.

It really depends on how you personally accept them but I always thought they just meant that you were a bit wimpy and feeble. But then I dont really buy into this whole OTT pc culture bred under labour.

No, but I might of wrote that on here, or somewhere else. With a bit of extra investment we could finish top 10, CL is welcomed as a long term target but a lot of that depends on investment, a larger squad and not losing our brightest talent and probably manager. It was pretty obvious we needed a striker and back up keeper n CB in the summer.

I agree with Dune here to a certain extent, it is a fools errand, an overthetop accusation that has been bred, for me, out of frustration caused by repeated poor performances from clattenburg and ultimately aimed at stopping him officiating us. Perhaps the actual conversation from Clattenburg was vastly different, and much more offensive at which point I would change my opinion but right now I just cant justify getting my knickers in a twist over a mild put down. This isnt about being anti saints. Or anti lallana or whatever crap can be accused of me, besides its probably the club and not Adam thats persuing this issue. Just on the surface it seems a bit OTT and pointless and unless that changes drastically Im not going to change my opinion on that.

He didnt, and as much as I was dissapointed we didnt draw it shouldnt have technically been a pen as for me it didnt look 'deliberate' which is supposed to be the marker for whether a ref gives a pen or not. Unless they change the law and say that any ball to hand is indeed an offence then Ill stand by that assumption. As always I try to be as impartial as I can in these situations and judge it by asking myself if Id feel agrieved if it were given against us and in reality I would have. Thats not really the point though, as much as I agree Clattenburg is a poor ref this witchhunt is rediculous, lets face it he got away with the racism card (if he actually said it that is, personally I cant see it) so he will breeze through our accusation of so called 'abuse'. Its all a bit over the top TBH
