I personally dont think he is but there you go, bottle would be A. Playing Osvaldo up top and dropping Rickie to make the best of the system we employ or B. changing the system in order to accomodate lambert Stupidity would be continually picking him in this system despite the obvious facts that we dont close out games enough and havn't since MoPo installed this system and rickie was our 'best attacking player'

Hows 100_persaint getting on glasgow ?
-
I prefer Yoshi but hard to drop fonte having done A. Nothing wrong and B. scored last week. Also Osvaldo certainly wont play in the hole, out wide if anything but if MoPo has the bottle he will drop Rickie.

Whats more the selection will probably work

Glasgows done well here

Dont get sucked in Hypo..... I think Gold has an understanding of football finances, probably a very good one but he isnt going to know the ins and outs at St Marys. Probably has an idea. I think his small jealous rant on SSN says more about his then ours, obviously he knows he is on the buffer as far as the 52m wage limit is concerned, but then he has 4 or 5 players arguably around the 70k or more mark, I honestly cant see us near that level of spend yet. So I imagine he is just summising that we are in a similar position (similar size clubsish) when in reality I think we still have room to maneuver.

Agreed. I think Lambert will start this one but if he has another toothless performance then Poch really needs to man up and drop him.
-
This really, though Im chuffed for him that he managed to sort himself out and get a move closer to home aswell. I think its wrong to say he didnt contribute last year, he did, and he did ok when I watched him, though I was under no illusion that he wasnt a player that was going to take us forward.

I suppose yeah, he is proven in the prem, adds pace and strength, Ive just never seen much in me that impresses. He is good at driving at defences but his final ball is poor.
-
Am I the only one who has never been hugely impressed by him ? He just seems to run around like a headless chicken
-
Four marks are terrible, how the hell have they pulled this one out of the bag ?
-
Hmm, looks like Ill be playing against him then
-
This but hopefullyhe will drop RL and play Ramirez
-
That is a terrible terrible song Why the hell do we always sing about bloody pompey ? I currently nothing pompey, they arent even on my radar !! But even if the were? Well, that song is shocking

For me Sunderland was more a fact of a lack of real movement upfront rather than a killer ball. Lallana, Ramirez and Lambert all good enough to find passes but for me Lambert isnt dynamic enough for our front four
-
If Mata doesnt move he will play eventually, JM always has been a 'build a solid team first' sort of manager and looking at it he believes that his other attacking options have more about them defensively then Mata has. I do agree though he is an incredible AM and has grown a lot sonce leaving Spain. Very surprised that Jose is looking at AM options when he probably needs a DM and a striker.

Having tasted a burger, pie and also the so called 'draught lager' (which I suspect is only actually 1 part beer) over the years I no longer bother. I did stand waiting for a couple of bottles at the Sunderland game as we were on the footie **** up and it was my round, by the time Id spent the best part of my mortgage and missed the first 5 mins of the 2nd half (its ok, it was the Sunderland game) I made a promise to myself to never do that again, even all the lads said afterwards they werent that desperate and most were half cut. That said, many people do fancy a beer and some grub, I dont think its completely unreasonable to think that it should be of half decent quality, the food is acceptable at festivals after all and is similar priced/dished out. That said you do need to expect a certain amount of crap. From a beer qeueing POV why dont they employ a similar scheme to IOW festival ? Beer tokens ? Buy in bulk before the season or whatever and have dedicated stands to swap for a beer ? Simples

Part of it has to do with playing alongside other England players, and knowing the system etc its not just 'Man Utd' per se. If WHU had 5-6 English players that were good enough for the int team they would be 'popular' but ignoring that part of the arguement I agree that Young is tosh.
-
I dont get why he is there, but then I tried to think of the alternatives, and that scared me a little. I assume that he is there as he is a quick option off the bench and knows the set up. But all in all I agree that he is massively overrated IMO. Didnt he cost 30m or something nearly as rediculous ?
-
We looked very different when Clyne came on, as, unlike what many seem to 'see' we dont play with wingers, and the width is ultimately provided by the FBs. But yes I agree, whenever Ramirez is on the ball we do IMHO look infinately more dangerous, though I think he still needs better movement ahead of him and yes, I think we both agree that Lambert isnt that man. J Rod seems to be a bit of a slow starter, but Id include him. He is good without the ball in this system and adds an element of direct running at times. He was unlucky against Sunderland TBH.

Barnsley will potentially field a full strength side, up for a game at Home. We will potentially field a side, half and half. With some players that have no real game time this year and some possibly tired. Its not clear cut as people are making out but yes, we should have enough, though Im going to stick my neck out and say if we field just reserves we will struggle.
-
As per usual Im going to point out this is real life and not a sim
-
Probably realised that nobody is going to pay him what we are ?
-
Depends on whether all 15 of Lamberts are penalties TBH. But its irrelevant, Lambert wont get 15 this year. If he does, and Carroll gets 7 then Lambert will be on the plane. FWIW I know its fashionable to dislike Carroll but he is better than people give him credit for.
-
For me we are keeping hold of the ball and look easily as solid as we did in those games your talking about, if even more dominant. The problem is from an attacking fluidity sense, and we struggled last year when teams sat back. Its nothing to do with the Wanyama/Cork dillema, it is to do with the need for some attacking dynamism when a team sits 11 men behind the ball which is why Id have taken off Lambert, not Lallana on Saturday. Thankfully Norwich are likely to try to attack
