Whilst I agree that I wouldnt want anyone banned Im not sure that losing some of the worst offenders is going to be detrimental to the forum. Alps isnt one of those though. This forum went downhill when they had a mad year banning those that were merely sarcastic and commical/castrating the muppet show completely whilst allowing some obvious trolls to continue with their crap

Yes, which is why I love him but after that so what ? He doesnt fit the system ? So why the protection ? Make a choice accept we arent as good with him in the side or realise it and ask for changes. I respect what he has done but Davis did as much, and your not asking for his inclusion If we want to improve he isnt the future, same with Davis and Cork unfortunately. He has offered us so little for weeks now -
2 mistakes, a worldy, we had more efforts on goal and much more possession ? Yeah Id say we did ok. Can you tackle the points glasgow and not just derail another thread ?
-
Eh ?

Sure I read it somewhere the players joking that training was a breeze at England compared to with Saints. Im assuming that Hoovield and Yoshi were picked dependant on the opposition but if Fonte was fit to play why not play him ? Not that I want our system to change BTW, Im a big fan, but I think we are going to have these little niggles more than most teams. Dont get me wrong, we have had Arsenal and Chelsea away, I wasnt expecting much there but we played ok, we even played ok tonight, organisationally poorer than usual but on balance didnt deserve the loss.
-
Less risky passes, less shots mean that you keep possession. As I said it wasnt a problem when we were not making mistakes and thus were not letting in goals. I think when Ossie clicks he'll play instead of RL and goals will come but its keeping it ticking over til then.

TBF I love the bloke but the defence he gets is rediculous considering the slating others get. -
Do you think that we are working too hard ? The players recently said they were pleased to go on international training with England as they wont work so hard, also I reckon we collectively run further then most other teams, such is the intensity of our pressing. Add to this our reletively smallish squad do you think the reason we are making mistakes is because we are jaded and tired. And so picking up muscular injuries and making mistakes ? If so, can you imagine an extended cup run ? And even a europa campaign ? Or have we just been unlucky ?

I would suggest that most teams know how we play anyway, its not difficult to work out with the data and analysis equipment we have. -

Agreed but also for the third too many players seemed to just not track etc and it was a 1/100 strike. Also the second was poor from cork and then nobody stoped what ended up a very good cross. We were mugged, your right, but there were too many little mistakes. -

Yup, lets not talk about Lamberts poor displays this season -
Because only the best teams can afford those creative, hard working players, you are talking the Wilsheres and Rooneys of this world. Tonight we just played poor, Cork seemed out of position at times, Yoshi was too tight for the first, and the third was a team fault followed by a worldie. Teams tighten up against us, and we play narrow so they tend to tighten up around the box which means we need deep crosses or very quick passing. I think Ossie will work with our system, and we will all click, as I said before its the silly mistakes we are making and lack of depth that worries me at the moment.
-
And potentially detracting from the high pressing ? It all depends on the trade off, besides, we have one, Ramirez would look much better if he was passing to a more mobile striker but he probably doesnt fit the system.
-
Insightful as ever glasgow
-
We had 21 shots, 9 on target. Thats not bad going. We've been doing ok until this little run of bad form. We need to cut out silly mistakes and IMO drop Lambert as he doesnt suit the system.
-
Not in the prem we didnt, and when we tried it we let in a boatload. Nobody complained when we werent letting many in, and infact we restricted them to 3 shots on target tonight so on another night would have probably won. Our problem in this system is that Lambert is not the man to lead it and Ossie isnt firing yet. But this is nothing new, I said this last year when MoPo came in but I was told Lambert would be ok. Our problem is we have started letting in silly goals, cut that out and we will be ok

Of course, I would love that too but lets be frank what your talking about is a Utopia, of course that would probably be everyones dream on the surface, but in reality it will have its pitfalls. The only way really for that to be sustainable would to follow a communist like policy, 'for the people, by the people' as we have all seen before those societies just dont really work, true socialism will never work anyway as a people if we had no overall leadership we would crumble and many will succumb to put themselves first instead of helping out their fellow man, of course Id like to think it wouldnt, but it would as its in our nature. As per the destruction of capatalism be careful what you wish for, as much as I agree with you in the fact that most major capatalists will stop at nothing to boost profits etc it generally pushes technological and socialogical advances, I know you like your gadgets, as do I, even China embraces capatalism to some extent. As per your project, I agree, I have worked in R&D and integration of new communication protocols into the industry I work in aswell as new gear, you do that slowly. But will this work in a real time social experiment ? And what will you do if this mini environment fails ? Its hard. And this is my point, Id love a 'Utopia' but its not possible. What we need is to change the way we do things, capitalism wont go anywhere, nor will our type of government, but small changes can be made to how we work our current system. -

No but as I explained earlier its not how the industry works, its not going to be building any starbucks either without outside investment. -
Probably, I dont get time to be on here much with just me, I mean, partly because its nowhere near as good on here as it used to be because of the constant ubermodding and derailing of threads but also theres work and social life. Fair play if all he has is this forum, its nice to know people have places to go.

I think so, but he is still here, x2 at the moment
