  1. Meh, I understand that we are a breath of fresh air regarding the englidh core, the english youth etc. that makes me more excited about anything. We are this years swansea I think, lets hope that we steer clear of injuries as Im confident with our first 11 but not necessarily the subs.
  2. Ahh I remember who you are now. Ill make this easy, realise that you get paid for the service you provide, not for just being
  3. I sort of agree with Guided here, and Im not one to be dragged into conspiracy nonsense but the situation for me stunk of foul play on the parents part from day one
  4. Solar panels and decent insulation go an aweful long way into reducing your billing. The solar essentially stops you from paying for useage during the day so be smart and do your washing etc then not in the evenings (which is what they wanted to achieve with smart grid/metering technology) You will find over the next couple of years the government will introduce a costing scheme designed to force users to use in periods of low loading, i.e the dead of night etc and so your electric per unit will cost more at 6pm then 6am etc Gas/electric is stupidly expensive, luckily I get 20% off mine. I pay £80 a month for both, in a 3 bed mid terrace with me and the wife. I have solar heating but looking into a solar and battery arrangement to save and export back to the grid. The problem is the governments policy Im affraid, lack of building any generation of any worth snd closing power stations, we buy the majority of our energy from abroad so it keeps their prices low and ours high. In turn I think the government slams the big 6 thus keeping pressure of themselves.
  5. Kids of today expecting the world....
  6. Fair play, personally I cant be bothered to run that far but have respect for those that do, thats seriously a lot of training. Fair play. I find the pasta does help, whether its in the mind or not fot the casual runner, but maybe its just ensuring I eat properly as sometimes I wont eat dinner etc Can someone answer me why I can go up the gym one day and run anywhere between an hour to two hours (dependent on being bothered) then other days I can barely run 30 mins ?
  7. Im sure you'll be fine, the taxi driver is likely to tell you if not but I just wouldnt want to wander around as you could end up in some places you may not want to be
  8. Im not actually running it this year but my missus is so I may get roped into 'joining in' Im doing plenty of running for footie fitness and run around 10k and 15k regularly at around 50 and 90 mins roughly, though that is intervals I may run it properly again next year Good luck everyone, Id suggest not running during the final week and eat plenty of pasta
  9. Benedicts hotel restaurant
  10. Make sure you you to crumblin road jail and go in the crown for a beer, theres obviously the europa aswell but its basically just overpriced these days. Going to see the murals is worth it but go by bus as being english you wont be made to feel massively welcome. As per a saints boozer I dont know, I just got back from Belfast myself, lively city, Ill try to remember the restaurant we ate in one night that was excellent and downstairs had a sportsbar
  11. I imagine he will get game time as he is able to change the tactics, the line up will likely be Welbeck, Rooney and Sturridge which in reality is pretty good TBH
  12. I heard we bought it, but I cant say for definate
  13. As I told you months ago the extra fields had been purchased and SSE were asked to remove the remaining overhead line in order for them to build the new dome and pitches. I was involved in taking down the older overheads during the initial phase of this (of which was one of my worst jobs ever that atleast one other SWF poster can probably remember) though I wont be involved in this phase I did see the plans and talked to some of the guys at the training ground and I must admit its bloody impressive. I think this is extra to the initial plans for the existing site (which have changed back and forth a few times) so I imagine this is extra cost to the initial 15m ?
  14. Rhodes...... Lol
  15. Im wrong. Fifa statute is 5 years after 18, not entirely sure if and how the home nations agreement would effect it though. And there is no age limit to switching teams after youth level so long as you have not played at senior level in an official match not including friendlies
  16. It does exist but is taken slightly differently by the home nations in order to stop a NI player living in England for 5 years and switching nationalities. I was under the assumption however that the ruling as stated in the press as '5years OVER the age of 18' is wrong as it is in fact 5 years leading up to the age of 18. We looked at Cudicini, Edu and Malbranque for eligibility before but I dont think we could do anything due to the 'home nation agreement' and not necessarily Fifa Statute.
  17. If we keep up playing a high % of english players and our relative level of success I have no doubt that we will find he will pick a group of english players from Southampton as essentially it is part of the selection process to find players who can play together and have proven they can play at a higher level. In the next few years, if they keep developing then Shaw, Clyne, JWP, Lallana, Lambert (for now) and possibly Chambers and J Rod could be in and around the England team.
  18. Is he less of an egotistical **** then he was when he was younger ? Such a big head for a man who technically wasnt very good
  19. He was the best man for the job at the time, unfortunately he had plenty of crap surrounding him at the time, most of which I have no doubt the man was guilty of. That said I think personally that he would do a better job then Hodgson, and he plays the football I like to see
  20. Id luv it if we beat them, luv it
  21. Easily one of the best saints keepers I have seen live, I would say he isnt that far from Niemi's level of ability if not as good. His distribution lets him down but his reactions, agility and ability to gather crosses is very good.
  22. I see you have managed to find a negative, good for you
  23. Pretty much this though I will say in his pomp his was up there with the top goalkeepers in the world, easily top 5. He appears to be a little fragile right now mentally, if anything City could do with a reserve keeper able to rival him, not sure if pantilimon (sp?) is that man. Its a shame really as he is a very very able keeper with all the right attributes but it seems some costly mistakes have got in his head of late.
