As I said before, you wouldnt be held accountable should you have put reasonable provisions in place in order to protect the public and also tresspassers from danger. If someone goes out of their way to tresspass there is nothing you can do. Otherwise anyone who wandered onto the tracks or attempted to steal cable and so died would cause those companies in charge to be in hot water. Yes its slightely different with a CDM of course, but you cannot make every site fort knox.

Hold on ?!

It wont be finished for at the very least 6 weeks

The site agent just needs to ensure all reasonable steps are taken in order to protect the public or anyone else on site from harm. The site is CDM and the bloke said he climbed two or three fences to get to the crane. If he died it would have been his own stupid fault, I expect the agent would have been talked to but it probably wouldnt be his negligence.

God I am glad that Adkins left...how embarrassing!

This Will always have a soft spot for him but once you heard one post match interview you had heard them all -
A serious post - the club acting disgracefully.

Sorry to hear about this Turks, it is certainly a v bad show from the club and hopefully a bit of sense will prevail. Have you tried talking to someone any higher up ? Like the head of the ticket office ?! I have found a lot of the time with largish companies the drones at the bottom level can barely think coherantly let alone make a fairly straightforward commen sense decision. Usually these things can get resolved by talking to someone who has a bit more savvy. It is certainly a v poor show though, and even if it does get resolved I can see how it leaves a bad taste in the mouth. -
Lard in another exclusive ?! I think Ill take this one with a pinch of salt

Sorry Gemmel that did make me laugh a little Puts it into perspective how tall it is though

Squillaci ?! Really ?

Yeah of course they are, but thats the way of football. Its a bit of a knife edge for them, like you say they are either a few wrong departures (and poor replacements) away from relegation fodder for another season Or A few decent signings and maybe keeping the right players away from mid table solidarity. Will be interesting to see how good Lambert actually is (fwiw I think he is a good manager). I personally think this TW will be the highest spent ever for the PL. I can see all of the top 6-7 spunking some cash, I reckon we will be in the region of 30-35m, and the amount of managers changing (who always want new players) and more money around there could be fireworks Of course this could be counter productive too
-
I think I said it mid season, when Villa were terrible they really were terrible, but it was IMO, like Turks said that they were inexperienced and in the middle of a relegation scrap. Lambert tried a few things out few the season but I think in the end realised Villas defensive frailties and decided that attack was the best defence. It could have gone either way but thankfully for them Wigan, Reading and QPR should no consistancy whatsoever. Like us I would say Villa are a few signings from a solid mid table side, the young'uns there have got a bit of experience but need someone to keep their heads when it all goes wrong. Plus he could do with keeping his better players. IMHO though, Benteke will go. Oh, and like I said earlier, Villa have been reletive spenders in their recent history
-
I get the impression that they think villa do not spend money, which is of course incorrect They spent 25m this season, 17m last and 30 odd the two seasons before that. Them spunking 12m on belhanda is not outside the realms of possibility, they could pull it off, but they could be beaten to the punch by a bigger team. So basically similar to us.

Saw something on twitter aswell Personally I reckon itll be a player from the uk

We played this, remember my mate getting excited as another of us got caught with his glass of wine in his right hand, well, he was excited until said mate asked him to hold the bottle for him.... Right hand.... Idiot That said, dunno what he was doing drinking red bloody wine in the first place

Shows how poor a manager Kenny was as well, if I remember rightly (and ignoring all the massively inflated fees) Adam, Carroll, Downing and Henderson were very much in form for their respective clubs. Kenny managed to get hold of them and in the space of 6 months all were used as perrenial jokes on social networks, such was their disasterous loss of form and overly expensive prices.
-
FWIW I dont think he is as bad as people make out, he has his uses. He isnt a great footballer in the very sense of the word but has a decent enough touch, pace and can finish. He is best used as a battering ram though and must be a massive handful to play against. 100k or even 80k is mental though. Shows what happens at clubs that rely just on managers opinions and not a commitee IMO

Easily 240 ft, was up a wind turbine the other day that stands at 240ft and from the ground at least the crane seems taller to me
-
Thats crazy talk, I can get my head around his 10-15m value, but that much a week ? How much did Kenny chuck at him FFS ?
-
Less of the baldy tokes. Id make him talk to everyone in a Shteve Mclaren FC Twente Acshent including ordering drinksh etshc. Other than that, original challenges, Ill have a think, where the **** is bear when you need him ?
-
Always found the smurf quite funny tbh
-
Not at all, calm down though Adrian, Im not slagging them off, the strategy snagged us Gaston which is one I applaud, we were in for Michu and Coutinho last year. It isnt a case of looking at just one player but if you manage to talk to people in and around the game then we are in for some big names that we arent v likely of getting.
-
TBH the past two TWs we have wasted time on trying to get players that had no intention of signing for us, its admirable but definately wastes time !!

Andy Carroll pulls out of squad.. Lambert in?
Smirking_Saint replied to bowers-sfc's topic in The Saints
FWIW as an attacking midfielder I think he would be very good, countless times towards the end of the season though we had the ball out wide with nobody central, this is the point I am trying to make, Lambert had a decent season for us, and is a good player. Regardless of that he isnt the right player for England, yes he drops into decent positions etc, as does Rooney who is more mobile and a better player. I commented on Welbeck as I tjink he will be a better player than Lambert moving forward and is a better player in regards a striker for England. -
