  1. McCarthy was equally as terrible As bad as Baz was I stand by the fact that everyone infront of him was so bad it exaggerated his ‘issues’ ten fold, I don’t think he is anywhere near as bad a keeper as is so often made out on here
  2. Get used to it, with the new rules coming in over the next few years around youth loans then this will likely be the way forward
  3. More of the 6/8 mould but more defensively minded, almost certainly would be an instead of JWP IMO unless they’re looking to ditch Soucek too
  4. Ive always found ‘passion’ is a bastion of those unqualified in their position He’s not a very good defender, he may well be better in the champ but he is still currently our 4th best and has let us down more often then he’s done a job
  5. Yeah thats how I see it, its a big risk that could go either way for you, if his knee blows out after a week then you’re blowing a huge part of your budget on a lame duck Certainly isn’t worth it for me Edit - Theres also no links that I can see
  6. Im not sure about Ings, he’ll almost certainly be a good signing at this level but just hasn’t looked the same since.. possibly even the season before he left us, you could tell a decline had started If you could convince him to come on relatively low wages and a 2 year deal with an option then, ok, not too bad but at 31 and a reported 130k P/W ? Yeah im not convinced tbh
  7. Because they’re fucking idiots
  8. A bit concerned so many believe Stephens is a viable answer, Id have him firmly at around our 4th or 5th best defender, he just isn’t very good.. His propensity to wind up the opposition of occasion isn’t a leadership trait Id personally want I want somebody sufficiently talented, level headed but more importantly able to lift the rest of the team.. outside of JWP and even including him I just don’t think we have that
  9. Who would elect these ‘think tanks’ ? We’ve all seem how any democratically elected parties end up, its pretty evident both here and across the pond that the majority are simply unable to make rational and reasonable decisions If these parties really are looking to help to drive global initiatives then personally I would want them selected by people that know who and what is needed As for the viability of these think tanks then I do think they are necessary, we live in a global society, part of the reason behind how damaging Covid was is in part due to the individualistic nature of most world governments, you only have to look at the damage done by brexit to see that isolationist thinking doesn’t work
  10. Bree is an odd one really, he was a very good player for Luton in the Championship, so realistically worst case we already have an able RB if KWP or Tino leave and maybe even if both leave
  11. Im not convinced although a 3 man midfield will help him immeasurably
  12. Not really sure why everyone is panicking, very few actual transfers have happened so far.. it’s generally just out of contract players moving around and of course Leicester attempting to balance their books As for whether we ‘need’ to balance ours, sound’s coming out of Staplewood recently and towards the end of last season is that we are in no desperate need to balance any books this year and will be reassessed at the end of the season.. prioritising promotion this year but values have been put on players and their is an understanding we will lose some
  13. Scarily the gaffer is the best passer of a football there….
  14. It really highlights our lack of any significant leadership in or around the first team when we’re looking to appoint a new captain and our options are basically; - A polish CB that got bombed out and happily slagged off the side, yet showed a bit of a resurgence - An English CB prone to more mistakes then he is being a serious CB Unfortunately even Prowsey wasn’t a particularly inspiring captain really, all things considered… its something Ive been asking for a while and, imho is something that’s contributed to our poor mentality over the last few years
  15. CSDAJFU ?
  16. In fairness they’ll likely have about 100m+ to spend this summer But yes… you’re correct, no shot they drop any more than 30m on him
  17. A very able manager at this level… I just can’t believe it’s not Potter or Rodgers….. 🤯
  18. If Palhinha is worth 80m then Lavia is worth £160m
  19. Seems very likely, just adding to the general list of available talented No.6s this window
  20. To be pedantic Id say Bellingham, Kovacic and probably both Caicedo and JWP are more 8s then they are 6s… the latter two you can argue are a bit of an almagamation of both but there we are Rice is arguably the best No.6 currently on the market but at a huge price point, Tonali is a decent signing, Lavia is probably the best option unless you need a world class starter due to his age and his likely relative lower fee You’ve also got Ugarte, another stand out young 6 that will be on the move too
  21. Believable but swap deals barely ever happen
  22. To be honest its again backing up what Ive been saying in the great ‘I wish we were Leicester’ debate… Iheanacho is worth more than that, but Leicester are desperately trying to trim a wage bill pushing them further into the red and are having to cut adrift players that ‘could’ make a difference at cut price deals
  23. Not sure I understand it but this it Boehly’s Chelsea after all
  24. I can’t see McCarthy starting for a team looking to play a possession based system tbh
