I had a few problems with O2 a few years back, absolutely crap service, didn't set up the phone as i had asked, tried to set up a limit on it but they hadn't set it up and i ended up paying a fortune. I could never speak to anyone who actually knew what they were on about and when i asked to speak to a manager i was told that i couldn't, when i FINALLY managed to get through to the manager he said he would ring me back and never did. I eventually cracked and demanded to talk to the manager who i pretty much berated down the phone and said if i managed my staff the way he did and treated the customers with such contempt i would be out of a job, he tried to argue it but i said i wanted to make a formal complaint against him and his team. Funnily enough shortly afterwards i got my wish and they cancelled my contract for no cost.

It is the position he is asked to play, and he does it very well, i have never witnessed a player who can stamp his authority on a game so effectively, i really have lost count of the amount of games he has grabbed Liverpool by the scruff of the neck and dragged it across the winning line. Perhaps if he had left them a little while back and moved to a team of players that suited him then people may have changed their mind about him, he is not the same player in the Liverpool team right now as they have not got the players that compliment him. Yeah he plays his 50 yard passes and a decent majority come off, there is no way only 1 in 5 makes it, and the majority of times it works by starting counter attacks etc. But i do agree he often ignores the easy passes. Wednesday was a perfect example, we looked bereft of ideas and endeavor until Gerrard started to drop deep and collect the ball/helped break up play. And its not like he doesn't know how to stick to his position, i am sure if asked he would, but it is clear he is utilised in a more of a free role.

Bit of a pointless 5 year plan to get to the Prem though, without cash. And TBF, you do keep replying to everyone about the fact we MUST have money due to the constant 5 year plan bleating and cash we have spent etc, so you must believe it.

Ok, i'll say it................Beattie

WOW Saints are doing charity work and all of a sudden we have the agenda monkeys all over it. Is there anything you lot wouldn't moan about.
-
I made him a background sugar daddy in the end, he gave me 8 mil to get promoted from the NPC and another 5 mil in January if i wanted to win it, i thought it was pretty realistic.
-
That said, there is only one still cutting it in the Prem.

So do i really

Why Best and Dyer ?? They moved on, we were in freefall so would I. I would have a word with Best though, not angrily, but defo call him a dopey c*nt with his big toe. Jones for me, the way he went on strike, i can accept players wanting to move on, thats football, but not going on strike.

Wow Thats a pretty big insight, society has really tied you to the floor and treated you to a Bukkake session. Oh, thought of another place....................... Weatherspoons on a weekday morning, never EVER wander into this area unintentionally during a regular Mon-Fri, i didn't think there were Leper colonies anymore.

Toby Carvery ??

I f*cking hate those people, they have been in the shops for atleast 2 years now and i still manage to be behind the mong that believes they have just been beamed into the enterprise. As for weird places, i agree with Eastliegh, makes my skin crawl, i can beat it though, Bitterne..... i mean....jesus christ that place is full of weirds. BTW, i used to work in a warehouse but with my new job i am out a lot all day long, and WTF happens to people in city centers between 12-2 ?? The average age suddenly jumps to about 97 !!

How people can so severely underate Gerrard is beyond me, other than Scholes he is the best and most wasted (england wise) player of a generation. Wilshere may get there, in fact he reminds me very much of a young Gerrard and if he makes it to Gerrards level i hope we get it right and build the team around him. I get what people are saying, we don't have technical players like those on the continent, but the main failing there is the complete lack of any forward thinking from many of the coaches in this country, especially at grass roots level, they just don't like change and certainly don't coach in the same way as they do in Spain, Holland etc. The new Burton facility will be a MAJOR step forward but only if we employ the right coaches and coach in the right way, and at the moment if that includes ignoring the outdated English coaches then so be it. There is a reason there are so many foreign coaches in this country, it is because they understand beautiful and successful football and many English managers methods are far too archaic, it is changing.....slowly. We need to build a team for the World cup and not have too much emphasis on the Euros.

"Southampton’s record for producing successful players was certainly impressive during this era, with Chris Baird, Leon Best, Dexter Blackstock, Mike Williamson, Scott McDonald, Matthew Mills and Nile Ranger among the others to forge good careers." Just sort of makes you wonder why we have stopped using the Lodge if it helped produce these players.

Wouldn't have thought it was the same company doing the work.

I meant the NPC TBF

FM11 ?? You only get 20k in January, unless you mess about in the editor and make it more realistic.
-
Exactly my thoughts, such is the current set up in England we will unfortunately have to put up with limping away from tournaments, playing the long ball and 442, ignore the youth in favour of over paid fading force egos and a media who still hype up our chances.

I still wouldn't pay a penny over 500k for him. He was hardly starting here either FFS. -
Forgot about him, yeah top player
-
I like Jagielka, he is a good player, but yeah right back !! I thought that. Lescott is sh*te, Gibbs doesn't play. I don't get why we don't play with more youth, especially in friendlies such as this. Also, when Capello came in he spoke of the fact that if you are not playing for your club then you will not play for england, well that soon went out of the window didn't it !! I would have gone with Foster Richards Jagielka Shawcross Baines Johnson Huddlestone Wilshere Milner Carroll Walcott Look at the German model FFS, also look at the fact that most International teams (top teams) including the French have dumped not only the underperformers but those that will not make the Euros, personally i would use the Euros as a training ground and pretty much frop the bulk of players that won't make the next world cup. IMO that means the end of Lampard, Terry and Rio at the very least, we need to make these young players into the new superstars but they need game time to do that.
-
You thought it would be different ? We have Carroll on his own up front.

He is a good player, certainly better than Hammond, and at 50k thats a great price. At the very very least he is a much better replacement to Wotton. He has one or two dodgy games but seems to be improving and if he gets back to where he was with us last time will be an inspired signing. Happy if true.
