"Southampton’s record for producing successful players was certainly impressive during this era, with Chris Baird, Leon Best, Dexter Blackstock, Mike Williamson, Scott McDonald, Matthew Mills and Nile Ranger among the others to forge good careers." Just sort of makes you wonder why we have stopped using the Lodge if it helped produce these players.

Wouldn't have thought it was the same company doing the work.

I meant the NPC TBF

FM11 ?? You only get 20k in January, unless you mess about in the editor and make it more realistic.
-
Exactly my thoughts, such is the current set up in England we will unfortunately have to put up with limping away from tournaments, playing the long ball and 442, ignore the youth in favour of over paid fading force egos and a media who still hype up our chances.

I still wouldn't pay a penny over 500k for him. He was hardly starting here either FFS. -
Forgot about him, yeah top player
-
I like Jagielka, he is a good player, but yeah right back !! I thought that. Lescott is sh*te, Gibbs doesn't play. I don't get why we don't play with more youth, especially in friendlies such as this. Also, when Capello came in he spoke of the fact that if you are not playing for your club then you will not play for england, well that soon went out of the window didn't it !! I would have gone with Foster Richards Jagielka Shawcross Baines Johnson Huddlestone Wilshere Milner Carroll Walcott Look at the German model FFS, also look at the fact that most International teams (top teams) including the French have dumped not only the underperformers but those that will not make the Euros, personally i would use the Euros as a training ground and pretty much frop the bulk of players that won't make the next world cup. IMO that means the end of Lampard, Terry and Rio at the very least, we need to make these young players into the new superstars but they need game time to do that.
-
You thought it would be different ? We have Carroll on his own up front.

He is a good player, certainly better than Hammond, and at 50k thats a great price. At the very very least he is a much better replacement to Wotton. He has one or two dodgy games but seems to be improving and if he gets back to where he was with us last time will be an inspired signing. Happy if true. -
Anyone know who it actually is ?

I didn't call it b*llocks, as far as i remember, no doubt you will now drudge through every post i ever made to prove a point though. I dismissed the fact that he only seems to post anything if it has a sort of anti NC slant, he may well be spot on with his info, and i will listen to that in regards to team selection and remove the general jist of his posts, but i am not paying too much attention to any anti NC ramblings in the same way i would disregard any super uber bigging NC up and treat those posts in a similar fashion. Perhaps if he posted with a bit of objectivity and didn't come across as a complete chip on shoulder bell end then he would recieve a bit more patience from people.

What does 125 really mean ?? F*ck all to me
-
No idea, i also agree with a lot on here. As much as getting so much internal info is good, it can't be doing any good in the dressing room.
-
He obviously has his sources, which you have to analyze and attempt to remove the truth from the agenda

Terrible, absolutely terrible. I am pretty f*cked off this week, i just can't see AOC turning in the same performances week after week if he starts, he looks much more effective coming on from the bench for me. (baring the other night when he scored twice admitidly). I really don't get how so many people think Puncheon was crap, he gives so much balance to the team, works hard, tracks back, puts in a good tackle and has outstanding ball control. He often to me looks the only one that can make things happen, he certainly did when Lallana was out of the team. Unfortunately his runs and passes were not being picked up by his team mates and this made him look bad, but things don't happen unless you try !! If it is an internal matter however and there has been a bust up then i can accept that it is best if he is away, if not, and he is off i certainly hope we have a replacement lined up.

Spot on Turks, been saying the same thing for a long time.

Agree, think shaun or Stacey will win it, maybe linford, purely because every time Stacey opens her gob i crack up...... couldn't live with it though jesus. Also hate lembit and Gillian, whats the point of Gillian being there and Lembit is clearly a tw*t
-
Terrible, even worse to think that i have the lads round for that !! Anyways, luckily more lager left and Pacquiao later. What a terrible excuse for a boxer Harrison is !! He looked like some playground kid in playschool getting a beat down, looked scared from the off !! I hope he gets next to f*ck all for that fight, its the equivalent of Man utd sitting in the center circle for 90 mins in a champions league final.

Not really, Poyet has done a fantastic job atm and far better then our Nigel has done, at the end of the day anyone should be able to get us promoted from this league with the team and cash we have and anyone that does it would not be doing a groundbreaking job. Perhaps if he then goes and wins the Championship then i will say he is indeed a fantastic manager. His achievements at S****horpe for me are a far better achievement then Norwich tearing the league apart last year. Win % are relevant to the situation at the club, the top teams are always going to get fantastic win percentages as they have the squads and money to back it up. Holloways achievement is far better then Chelsea winning the league for instance and if he keeps them in the prem then wow, even better. Twitchy Redknapp also recieved manager of the year last year and was well worth it for breaking into the top 4 with Tottenham. -

That was my take on things, good decision in my eyes. Plus gives Seaborne a bit of a rest.
