I had heard about the punches etc, i had heard that the whole Pardew sleeping with someone was all b*llocks but there was some sort of training ground bust up resulting in Pardews coaching techniques. Whether it come out or not, the more i think about it the more id rather it didn't, part of me wants it to come out in order to put it all to bed, but a lot of me would rather it stays hidden, at the very least until the season is over. The team has managed to rise above any rumours, incidents, upset at removal or whatever it was and seems to be moving towards an in form march up the league, the last thing we need right now is more destabilization IMO. This whole incident will not be as black and white as it appears, i would imagine that neither Pardew nor Cortese would come out particularly well as was suggested. The important thing is that appointing Adkins seems to have been a winning idea and now all efforts to help him achieve the goal of winning the league (or atleast being promoted) should be done.

Difference being at a football game it could be classed as incitement, if unchecked, with large numbers it COULD cause a riot etc. (though it probably wouldn't) Its pretty much the same as being done for dangerous driving, you havn't really done anything but there is a possibility of something very serious to occur. That would be nice. But an effective promotion march, especially within 5 years will need to be well funded, at least on the transfer fee side of things. I think we can have a sustained model as far as wage structure is concerned and tbf that seems to have started when Pardew and Nicola were talking about not signing players just for a payday etc. I think the Liebherrs will fund the short term expenses, for instance paying a large sum towards the training ground, any facilities upgrades etc and any reinforcements needed above the yearly turnover of the club. But i would hope we don't go down the Skates route of throwing money at players that aren't really bothered.

Dunno, what i mean is that we are lucky to be owned my owners rated fourth on the list of owners finances. They seem keen fund a 5 year plan and have spent good money in this league, they also are funding the training ground etc. Do you think if we were sold we would fall so lucky again ?

I agree with the sentiments however i don't really think billionaires are that easy to come across. Would we be sold ? yes Would we be secure ? yes Would we likely be funded aswell as we are now ? Debatable Not that i think it would come top that tbf. We are in a good position and should get promoted this season. Adkins seems a great appointment and the facilities are being upgraded. Noises of a stadium development if required. We are in good hands for once.

I agree, i think that we could happily sell out St Mary's every week in the prem and so could benefit from a stadium upgrade however, realistically we would probably peak at around 40k i would say. Averaging highish 30's, perhaps around the 40 mark if we have a cracking season. 47k or more is a massive crowd and i honestly can't see us achieving that. Southampton is not a big enough city.
