Personally I think Aribo is, of the three, more creative, better on the ball and more composed infront of goal but doesn’t work hard enough which, I agree, isn’t something you can say about Ely.. the lad puts a shift in
-
Diallo is sort of one of them.. its unfortunately him or AMN unless we go 3 in the middle (we stand a chance then) Djenepo is just not able wide, we have other options (Aribo, Edozue, Armstrong x 2) Lyanco is odd with DCC and ABK on the bench Also as Ive said before, Ely works hard and is ok as a wide man that can defend but as a No.10 ? Absolutely ineffective in a creative position Im afraid

Absolute buzzword waffle… If you aren’t going into any transfer window as a detailed process and attempting to minimise risk then you’re failing as a smaller club It also depends on what metric you’re analysing… our youthful signings from the summer are arguably minimal risk from a cost/sell on POV but failure to have a big enough impact on the pitch has almost certainly been a bigger risk then signing established options
-
Rasmus has made all of the major footballing decisions (overall) since the summer however was in favour of sacking Ralph sooner but was convinced not to
-
Do you remember the press waffle when Semmens stuck the boot into Les (not defending Les) about being hamstrung due to long contracts to players that didn’t deserve it ? And then proceeded to sign Djenepo, McCarthy and Walcott onto long unwanted contracts
-
Yet he proceeded to play Lyanco at CB, Ely at CAM, Diallo at DM and Djenepo at RW…

Of all the positions we need reinforcements I didn’t have CB on my list

I was actually very optimistic when they came in, I heard some very promising noises coming out of the camp.. I was even lucky enough to be in the board room for a couple of games towards the end of last year and had some ‘brief’ chats to some of the board (obviously they let nothing go other than they wanted more consistency) We spent a large chunk in the summer.. and despite our outlook coming true, a lot of young players that we signs look to have a good pedigree I still believe our main issue was not making a decision on Ralph’s future sooner or backing him effectively in the summer. It was obvious to all of us. He needed a striker we didn’t provide that and that was along with Romeo Lavia, our priority area It’s all starting to look very worrying, especially after the whole Jo shield situation which on paper looks like a very good appointment, but after the fall out, you start to wonder whether we had a proper scout of his character, surely his social media antics highlight his lack of professionalism… since that time, we have now lost Crocker, who is a very good footballing man, as well as leaving us in arguably our most important transfer window with a lack of direction with Semmens still at the helm and with a manager by all intents and purposes, looks very much like the fan base was correct and he is out of his depth I won’t say any more than this sport. Republics main aim at the start of the season was to keep us in the Premier League, they were vocal about the fact that they relegation is incredibly damaging to their long-term project and even indicated that we would have, in the event of a change of manager, funds to spend Unfortunately though, after all that’s happened, my early optimism has almost certainly now falling into a real pessimism that we are just not equipped to remain in the Premier League and it is now down to Rasmus, who has an incredibly high opinion of himself to prove his own ego, true

Ahh I forgot about Saints 3 ancestral tenants my bad
-
We’re signing Modric ?
-
Ely has had a good season when he is employed as a wide midfielder… that is mainly down to the fact that he works very hard and defensively he is solid… the main argument against his inclusion is his lack of ability to see a pass/execute a pass effectively which leads us to squander possession in good areas… so what does NJ do ? Ahh.. play him at No.10
-
Unfortunately spot on
-
Arguably we had more direction/identity then we did today 5 formation changes and a team of which half of it looked like it wanted to press/half didn’t… Brighton were very good but make no mistake we were an absolute mess You need to question why the players were allowed 2 weeks off and what exactly NJ has been working on the last 6 weeks because we look even less tactically aware than previous On paper this was an underwhelming and bizarre appointment and I see nothing to change my mind… Ralph was a good manager that was deservedly sacked because he had lost his way… I don’t see how a progressive (apparently) owner like us looks at NJ for 6 months over the likes of De Zerbi or Tadesco etc… its baffling….. He wasn’t even that cheap !!
-
Whats your point exactly ? How many have performed as well as Lavia, Bazunu and ABK ?
-
I’m feeling a lot of last minute panic signings across the division tbh
-
Doesn’t really matter if we’re left light
-
Most dutch fans agree he isn’t a No.9, they’ve tried him there and it didn’t work He is a left winger This is our major forward signing, we won’t sign him and a striker
-
He’s vice captain after L De Jong who is injured
-
We wanted Broja but thats not going to happen I think the move towards 433 varients has seemingly cooled our requirement for another starting ST so we’ve prioritised a goalscoring wideman that can cover at ST In short… I don’t think we’re getting another striker
-
It could even be a bit of brinksmanship who knows
-
We have until tomorrow to conclude a deal, him being in the matchday squad isn’t necessarily indicative of a sale not happening as much as him being OUT of the squad is a likely indicator that things are moving PSV are looking to sign a replacement, all the right noises are there.. people around the club are confident Its moving
-
Hopefully equally busy tomorrow too 😍
-
I imagine we’d persue more thsn one deal at a time tbh… all eggs in one basket is a bit silly 2 days before window close
-
I think we’ll see movement today personally and Im comfortable of atleast 3 I think before the deadline
