As was said on here, Lowe ****ed up stoneham, we managed to get the St Mary's site. Which TBH is a sh!thole and i am not surprised the council gave it away, they may have got use of where the dell was knocked down (i don't know). IF we had managed to bolt extra revenue streams onto either stadium it would have helped to keep us affloat, especially through the non-football months. If he had managed top get a station built ? (any genious would have seen this as beneficial) it would have been miles easier to get to, plus may have stopped some of the congestion. So IMO, the one glarring thing that everybody has said he got right.... he managed to almost **** up and not do as good a job as he could of.

You got it then, nice car, rapid ?
-
Kronnie please mate

Ok, there were times.... and they failed miserably. As i said before, do not take the above post as if i support Lowe.... christ i do not, just don't think ANY of the others have been any better.

Unfortunately i agree with this assessment, as much as i blame Lowe (mostly) for our downfall, he was never one to overspend and was always far too cautious with his money. He did however ensure with his crazy managerial appointments and continually revolving door (like football's equivalent of the apprentice) have pushed us further and further down the league. Would we still have been in administration if Lowe never left ? Maybe ? He would not have overspent like the other people messiah (crouch, who i believe has his parts of blame) however we would never have survived last season if he had been there. IMO

I do agree it is in a good location in the centre of town and is a very nice stadium (but as has been said before nothing outstanding). But i do feel that having no extra revenue stream does not help matters in the slightest. Apart from a couple of concerts thats all there is, through the summer months we have no cash flow and no alternative other than football. Unfortunately i don't think that there was the space to expand any further, they couldn't even put in the train station for christ sake. If they could have it would probably have been a much better choice than Stoneham in the first place. Also, as for EBC, i seriously believe it would have helped Eastliegh City Centre, a centre which at the moment is dying i might add. Transport wouldn't have been that terrible, no worse then over populating Southampton City with everything from the cruiseliners to IKEA. What was it the bloke from SCC said about how they would sort out travel ?? "well everyone would have to just leave earlier" or something along those lines.

Sorry to hear buddy. RIP and deepest sympathy

God i cannot believe i just sat through that mindless drivle, why i didn't decide to turn it off to another station after i realised nothing was happening i don't know. Still Sitting in the dock of the bay was a welcome relief. How do you guys manage to stay awake long enough to hear any saints news on the station ??

Should NEEEVEER of signed, still his goal against Arsenal was priceless, for the result and hilarity. Plus, as far as we are talking expensive players, Rory Delap ? good but hardly worth our top transfer fee was he ?? Someone said about Beatie too ? I felt at the time Everton was the wrong move, he is better playing off of someone and recieving crosses, Everton don't tend to do this.

Fry fiddles (not in the corrupt sense) while Rome burns

But maybe he was privvy to other info ?? Thing is none of us know what is actually going on do we ?? He may be near the edge and about to make us tumble into oblivion. He may be near to making the biggest deal in footballing history. I don't know.. you don't know... christ even Fry probably doesn't at the moment. -
TBF guys, he is just posting info he has heard, not the usual 'i know what you don't ********' If he had said 'something might happen at 2.30' you would have grilled him for not letting you know. For **** sake, you come on this forum for a bit of info and gossip and slag anyone of that delivers, thats the reason i come on to see if anyone has heard anything, if you take everyones word as gospel you are sadly deluded. Cheers MB for passing on what you know mate.

I think we could do worse then coppell but as badger said. We need somebody young and hungry and looking to move on. Saints would be a great club for a young manager for the long term, good set up, great fans, large fan base. And realistically not at the correct level. We shall see.
