LoL, no, basically the first time was over christmas and i had just picked up the missus and her mate and did a turn in the road, as i slowed for the light a bloke ran out of a black unmarked car and put his hand in front of the wind shield, as he was not in a full uniform i got a bit worried. I didn't really notice what was going on until he showed me his badge, so i got out, he asked me to step to the the side of the road and said to me, 'sir you look very nervous do you have anything to hide ?' 'No' i said, 'but to be fair you just ran accross the road to stop me and i could only see a bloke dressed in black, i thought i had been car jacked !' 'Ok sir, anyway you were on the wrong side of the road' Fair enough if he wanted to pull me but was v obnoxious, when asked where i was going, and i said to the kebab shop and then the chippy. (not both for me) he responded by saying 'oh, not back up the pub then ?' He was just very stand offish, he had to ring up to get a breath test sent and was stood in the freezing cold for 20 mins. Even when i asked to sit back in the car he just looked at me, it was his partner who was very polite the whole time and said 'of course' Then i did the breath test, i had never done one before and he had the cheek to ask me if i was sure of that. And then the even more cheek to explain and in his own words 'when it goes orange or red we will take you back to the station' he said nothing about green. As expected it went green, he literally then handed me the tube and walked off, no sorry, no nothing, it was his partner that said 'sorry about that sir, he has had a long day' so she obviously realised he was being a d!ck about it. End of the day, i have no problem being pulled etc as i generally would not risk getting licence taken (and job lost straight away) but i don't have to take sh!t of someone just because of a uniform, seeing as they provide a service to the public they should act with respect. I understand it's a hard job and i apologise for tarnishing them all, i have just had a lot of bad experiences and a lot of bad things happen and nothing done about it. But i do agree the government does not help.

So.... what are the thoughts ??? Just wondered as these days i feel they are f*cking useless, especially in the big brother world we live in. I appreciate that we need the CCTV and stuff to 'help' stop crime but in reality they don't, they certainly don't provide any evidence. In my eyes they are only there as a business these days, someone breaks in then they have nobody to attend your disturbance. But... soon as you commit a crime that provokes an on the spot fine and bam they are there. From the only times i have come into contact (both pulled over late at night for small reasons and they found nothing) they have been nothing more than obnoxious, expectant that i have done something wrong, unapproachable and generally *****s. Add to that that violent crime has gone up, what good are they ? we need a shakeup and TBH how is jacqui smith still in a job ?

I no longer have any respect for the police, they are a bunch of pr!cks. i have nothing on my licence, nothing on my record but every encounter with them leads me to believe they are micky mouse these days.

Agreed !! As per BWP the further the way from this club the better, he is not only sh!te and living off his dads and bro's name but is clearly a bad influence. KD, perry and JPS are definate. L james is a definate. We will be ok with a bit more strength in MF and perhaps a new forward. DMG will eventually (hopefully with us) convert to a v accomplished MF in my eyes. Euell could perhaps do a job, Wotte to move to reserve or youth coach for him and our benefit. DP as manager, not played under him but have heard enough good words

Good times... assumed this was correct. From experiance so far the most give an exemplary service. As per Saint_Stevo and Hamster, eat at pilgrim house in ocean village, i have never had a problem with service or food and is all you can eat chinese for £13 a head (not expensive when the menu is observed) top class nosh.

So... how many times is this thread been posted ??? As before Wotte should stay on... as a youth development coach (for our and his progression) We should approach a decent and long term manager that will move us on.

I only tip if i seriously believe that the waiter has done a decent job and the place i am eating in does not automatically add a 10% service charge to the bill (which annoys me). Anyone else, for me does not get a tip, they are being paid, if i do it myself... why tip ? If they have been god awful ? why tip ? Further to the US and the European arrangement, why would i want to tip some **** that expects me to tip him just for being there ?? I appreciate that they are not paid that well and in that case they should be looking to provide a good service to increase the said tip. (that being said i usual give a small tip abroad just to avoid the bloody aggro you get for not tipping... however that being said they provide a good service i provide more tip...... simples) Also..... with teh service charge ? Do you HAVE to pay it or can you argue ?

Got completely outplayed, Utd looked completely clueless and didn't know what to do. Barca got tactics spot on, sit high and soak up the long ball (and put pressure on the passer) thing is though if one of those diagonal balls came off then they would have been in trouble. But, Barca with their so called 'defensive frailties' were far stronger then Utd's unusually sh!te defence. The only time Barca looked really threatened was when Pique moved into Ronaldo's way. Still..... shame, would have been nice to have given michel ***tini something else to moan about.

Quality player but lacks the attitude of say tevez, however if you took that away then he would be a completely different player again (i have confused myself) Anyway, he just does not fit the way utd play unfortunately, Utd are very fluid and generally (with exception to Ronaldo & Berba) even the front line work back and move around, they are like a club brazil really in the sense that most of the team can operate in differing positions. Berba does not fit in, and yes he should have stayed at Totenham.... simples. ........ But still a quality player
