  1. Watching Leeds and Sunderland you realise how fucking shit Martin was for us
  2. And he was alright in 2 of them
  3. Worse case we send him on loan to goose step(e)
  4. Birmingham trying to get Mitrovic on a free… as unlikely as it is… Id want to be all over that personally Edit - Sorry.. forgot a german pun, I guess my initials are SS 🤷🏻‍♂️
  5. The more I look at the squad the more i think we need a reliable RB Fraser is ok in a 5 But none of our options are good enough for a 4 back
  6. I don’t think so, there’s plenty of time left, if this guy ticks all our boxes then I think its worth letting it run for a bit We clearly had a look at Rudoni and tbh, a lot of the balls havnt started to roll yet and probably won’t until next week when the big clubs start spending
  7. I cba to go back and forth all day, its late in the London session, NY is on the horizon and Ive got better things to do We’ve offered what we’ve offered, which seems as good a deal as we can give… what do you want to do now ? - Offer well over the odds potentially putting us in PSR bother - Walk away - Wait it out A little newsflash… we’re a championship club off the back of possibly the worst Prem performance in recent history… good players aren’t clamouring to be here, so if we have the opportunity to persue one Id like them to carry on
  8. I had it on reasonable authority that Semmens screwed the deal up by lowballing
  9. If he’s our absolute number 1 target what good is walking away ? We don’t have the biggest dick in the room anymore, so all we can do is our best Seems like we’ve agreed terms with the player and are making progress with the club, Id rather persue an option thats probably too good for the league rather than dropping to a lower ability player Honestly.. I don’t mind SR/Gao/Semmens/Lowe critique when its valid but criticism here is pathetic… what do you want them to do exactly
  10. Well yes… Football has been a passion for me since I was about 4 years old, one Ive played, coached and watched along the way As such Im going to want as much knowledge for my passion as possible, so yes, Im going to enjoy a deeper analysis of it Taking it as a bit of a side interest like you clearly do is fine, but lets not swipe at those of us that see it as a deeper interest and have a bigger depth of knowledge
  11. Everything under consideration thats a good result for us, away to the league favourites missing both of our ‘recognised’ no.9s and to walk away with a point is great Thats 3 games, 2 wins, 1 draw… for a team very much under construction both in personnel and tactics is very good going Clearly we need some creativity, and clearly need more cohesion… not convinced that 5 atb, especially with 2 in midfield is the best fit for us, but it is what it is We actually looked pretty poor defensively today and never struggled hugely imo, their goal was an absolute fuck up and Szmodics did well to hit the post from that angle although Quarshie didn’t do enough for me Armstrong can’t lead the line for me, nothing sticks and if nothing sticks we can’t build TLDR; Two poor performances from both sides, Saints will largely be happier
  12. Knowing our luck his leg will fall off in the 91st minute
  13. Leicester go down 2-1 to Preston with the latter looking to be comfortably the better side
  14. Thats what happens when you let a stubborn Scottish prima donna dictate transfer policy
  15. I thought van ewijk was off ? Looks far too good for this league
  16. Yeah I don’t disagree with this, and matches noise coming from the club, its not the fact we can’t afford them, its that we have too many bodies to accommodate
  17. Great stuff as always mate, really sounds like we’re pushing this year, which os what we all wanted Any other musings ? Rudoni ? Tyler ? Fernandes ?
  18. Possibly Although I think certainly Leicester and Ipswich are I think we’re on par with Burnley, we were just horrifically managed
  19. It’ll take some folding from an established team Despite some media optimism I don’t see anything in the three promoted teams that makes me believe they can survive, infact as a group Id say they’re worse than last years three
  20. Tbf they’ve lost the GK, Ndidi and probably El Khannous, also Fatuwu is being watched and they are legitimately skint Not sure whats happening there really, could go either way
  21. They’re regulatory and operationally struggling financially I don’t think they’ll be a huge threat, and im comfortable that this opinion could bite me on the ass They’re also inline for 9 points minimum I think, though it’s mad that a deduction hasn’t been expedited, we might not hear until January as thats when accounts are assessed by the leagues
  22. I dont really think he fits the system, but as other have said, probably as a No.9 next to more of a target man
  23. Lineker was played in a position that played to his strengths We don’t with Archer
  24. He’s a pure poacher, first and foremost We’ve never really played him as such
