  1. Sorry - I've skippped straight to the end.... haven't read past the first post. As much as that game was one of the greater in Saints history, Souness was one, if not THE greatest underachiever at Southampton ever. Funny how we can bring football results into a debate about the chairman. Wasn't Lowe the last to bring us Europe ? PS. Sorry if i've rambled or repeated - But I personally think this thread is poor.
  2. Listening to the aftermatch report with him ( available on other thread) it was nice to hear he made a whole heap of headed clearances.. Always handy to have esepcially when facing a long ball team. ( unsure of Barnsleys tactics - Sounds like they had our number - but we got the points )
  3. Of course not. But the club exists at the moment. Why do you think that if administration happens all will be rosey ?
  4. It's not - But it's more of a certainty that the club will cease to exist if we go into administration.
  5. Even if this costs the club's existance ? One man gone or the whole club gone ?
  6. Another amazing insight from the "Dutch Jokers" fan club. :smt078
  7. Out with the sh1te - and in with some fight. Well we can only hope/pray/is there any others that this is so. Surely the board can see this current team is not capable in this league. A few new experienced players are NEEDED. Only time will tell I guess - But please guys - Don't leave it to the last minute.
  8. South Pole is out - Too many fat guys in red suits.
  9. And who was in charge when this 81% was approved ?
  10. Can't agree with this... Surely if Rupert wanted to run the club into the ground he would have played the high earners constantly and also not put players up for sale and/or loan. I know he is the Anti-Christ to many - But seriously ?
  11. Chances that said shareholders could be Lowe /Wilde themselves ??? Or am I just being stupid ?
  12. Ok peoples - With some hope of sanity showing - we will Have Saga playing for us in the very near future. Just a bit of fun - How many goals will he score for us in the remainder of the season. Or will he not play and be kept as a saleable asset ? For me - he will play the rest of the season and score a very important 7 goals. Gees I love that number......
  13. Argh - I can't fr some reason shake off the fact that we have this one in the bag. I Hope i'm right - Something along the Reading performances would be nice. We NEED these 3 points
  14. I do agree Mr Sideburns. I wasn't totally against Lowes return - But this was his oppurtunity to sit in the shadows and try his plans/gambles using a more 'people friendly' front. Sadly the tit for tat from our extremely mature board members have driven the fans into almost apathy. I also agree on the trasnfer front - I hope "Size" is the first of a few experianced heads.
  15. Hmmm - heres one for all the bean counters and law grad's. Can a figurehead from a company that has gone into administrion revisit the said company to purchase ? Unsure if Ken Bates was involved in somehting similar ??? Just seems odd a manager who takes a company to the wall can actually pick up the peices - so to speak
  16. At what game last season had you resigned yourself to relegation ??? PS - on a more serious note.. I hope you are back in the working force asap.
  17. If not a starter he has to be on the bench and make an appearance. We have all heard about the "if he plays he cant be sold" - So lets play him and ensure he is ours for at least the remainder of the season. I'm sure he can make a difference
  18. Christ... give up already. Thats **** poor. To those who want administration i shake my head. It WILL NOT do anything benificial for our club. Thick and thin - How many of you posters have uttered the holy words "SAINTS TILL I DIE" - Well if your posting here - you are still alive. I want Saints to survive and hopefully prosper. You can critize your club but to want it gone ???? Weird.
  19. Slow News Day ? How does a club become a lot keener for a loan. "You ask a club - hey can we loan this guy" - They say yes/no and go from there. He played pretty much all the time ? Perhaps he sees Watford as more of a chance to stay up / prestidge ? Take this nothing more then getting his new fans onside.
  20. Indeed. Damn injuries cloud my thinking... Prob one of our 'betters' this year. Nice dilema I guess..
  21. If this new lad is half solid at the LB position, it would be good to mix Surman and Rudi between left wing and 'in the hole' places. See which plays better. Mind you - we'd all love to see rudi pull out th eperformaces of a few season back prior to signing him
  22. I disagree that the 'stick' was justified. MANY slayed him on here before he even played for us - i'm suure it didn't help his performance. Yes a professional should rise above.. wel I guess in the end thats what he has done. I still cling to the small hope of staying up this year - But if Davis leaves in the January window we are well and truly screwed.
  23. Fixed.... Sadly . Well I guess he is still good - but not for us.
  24. Once again you expose yourself as being a true thick headed mule. Just stick to your continal 'Lowe Out' bleating and leave those that truly don't deserve any grief out hey.
  25. Well one thing Mr Lowe does do reasonably well is get a decent price on our sold players. Mind you the bank probabaly has more say then anything. If KD goes we could be in some serious grief, Bart in the wings but KD has been in great form. If we can get 5 mill for both Surman and Lallana i'd be chuffed. If we didnt sell anyone i'd be over the moon.
