  1. I don't think your first and last statements actually reconcile with each other. If you don't mind who takes over then it leaves the door fully open for any chancer, fly by night or whatever with a few million to come in and totally **** your club. We are not fully ****ed yet but, by jingo, we will be should certain characters and their nefarious acquaintances gain a foothold at SMS. Start minding man because if you don't then there will not be an SFC to be successful and financially ok. I know. as fans, we can do little but raise our voices in protest at the slim chance some joker is going to try and run SFC.
  2. While not disbelieving what St David has told you Duncan I think that you, with all your dealings with people, realise that people (no matter how affable they may appear) almost always have an agenda. So they may not tell you the whole story or the complete truth. David was himself led up the proverbial garden path with Mr Jackson's dealings just about two years ago. Maybe he's not diving in again. Maybe he's as enthusiastic, and naive (like I was) as last time? I have no idea if St David is or isn't involved. Just be wary. Very wary.
  3. Yup Double Yup I still think he's a chancer. Should he gain control then he wouldn't know what to do with the club. Well, no more than most of us actually would, to be honest.
  4. It's a good thought and one which I hope is as close to the truth as possible. Begbies have been fooled once, I don't think that they'll be fooled again. Although, as previously stated, they do have to listen to all interested parties. What better a smokescreen than a prospective buyer who is known for failing (to the administrator) who is running around blabbing to all and sundry, despite having, presumably, signed an N.D.A. Keep the press occupied while the real men do the business? I sincerely hope so.
  5. It would be nice if it was Philip Green!
  6. Allegedly, Best spent a long night at a hotel in London, 'entertaining' the then Miss World. When the bell boy brought breakfast in the morning he found empty champagne bottles everywhere with banknotes spread all over the bed. He allegedly asked Best 'Georgie, where did it all go wrong?'
  7. I had the same error message at about the same time as you. All my gmail accounts were returning the same message. Have you had the problem with loading it in HTML? So you have to click the 'load standard view for slow connections' button? While all other web pages load perfectly well? I have a suspicion that gmail are performing a lot of upgrades.
  8. Hmmmm, but Del Trotter was obscenely wealthy compared to me!
  9. Aren't they closed anyway?
  10. Hopefully Mr Fry will have discussed this character with Gerald Krasner ( a Begbies associate who dealt with said character during the Bompey fiasco).
  11. There'll be no room in the car park as it will taken up by those having an on the spot MOT while at the game. They are a couple of stumblebums make no mistake. Out of the frying pan springs to mind?
  12. Absolutely! Let's hope that Mr Fry is able or required (by Law) to exercise some caution and level of control over a character such as this!
  13. Unfortunately, and frighteningly so, this Delusional Photocopier Salesman may, sadly, have more money than MLT's consortium. Which will give the administrator no such tough call to make.
  14. 75% By Value.
  15. Two comments which should really make us all very concerned at the news from Nick (last night) and in the Daily Echo today. From what I have read of LLS I do hope that he doesn't fall at the first hurdle but actually either runs straight into it or pulls up short. Be afraid, be very afraid! In this event even I would roll out the red carpet for a certain person!
  16. God help us!
  17. And that, your honour, sums up the case for the prosecution. Spot on mate!
  18. Not found it yet either, but Google does make some interesting points: http://archive.thisishampshire.net/2001/7/13/73365.html http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article573783.ece?token=null&offset=12 Still searching, sure I saw it on some thread only within the last week?
  19. Steady on old boy!
  20. Are any of us 'normal'?

Desperately searched for the Meridian Interview but could not find it. Anyone else? Where's St Daphne now that Jackson is on the scene?
  24. Very similar to some of the current players drawing a wage here then.
  25. Anything but effin' Hollandaise!
