  1. A question which I have been trying to formulate in my mind. However, if it is a usual practice, I wonder why it has been waived? Because the consortium don't have it (very worrying possibly) or they are playing hardball with the administrator (fair play, the less they have to shell out now, the more left after the deal?)
  2. I think that it is safe to assume that any or all offers are put to the major creditors? It wouldn't be professional for Fry to make an autonomous decision unless he has been told we want this and that and if we don't get it then turn any offers down. He would, I think, still give them the courtesy of telling them here's the deal, I'm about to turn it down unless you instruct me otherwise. To a layman such as myself it's hard understanding this malarkey and in the end one or both of the major institutions surely has to bite the bullet or liquidate SLH?
  3. And BadBoySaint? (or whatever he called himself?)
  4. We've already had a few seasons without football!
  5. 1. Potential 2. Your Lord and master told us we are customers, how do you expect some to react? Err. . .like customers?
  6. Good point and that is how business works. P155 the customer off at your own peril. First we had Ratner then Lowe, who next? I know the Government are royally p155ing us all off at the moment, they're a little harder to budge though!
  7. My point, from above, exactly! When farmer Lowe cast his seeds some fell one side of the fence, on fertile ground. Other seeds fell the other side of the fence, on barren ground. And even more were just blown away in the breeze.
  8. Once we were quoted as being 'customers' we opened our eyes and realised that we are a commodity. A commodity that, if it so wishes and for any reason even merely a whim, can decide at any given moment to do business with you or someone else who may be perceived to be giving better value, service or entertainment. We have always been customers and more careful business owners know how to treat customers without rubbing our noses in it. Once some of us perceived we were being used that started the ball rolling. Fans give, as we all have done over the years, without any real expectation of return. Maybe a vain hope of a little glory, beating a big club, being runners up. Customers expect more, and then some! The customer may be a fool, maybe a foul mouthed bigot and maybe stupid. But the customer is always right. A tough lesson to learn.
  9. You're joking! He can read!!!!?
  10. Errr. . . Rule 1?
  11. And since when has being a posh tw*t made someone dislikeable or unelectable?
  12. Says Baron Hardup!
  13. Is that Wotte what? Or do you mean is that Wotte I think?
  14. la la la la la la la la la la la I can't hear you!
  15. There are some on here who'd like you to. . . . damn! funny as it sounded I just shouldn't have said that!
  16. You're a real chancer aren't you! You broke the law, got caught. Pay up.
  17. Certain people have principles. Normally the less well off. Which comes first, lack of cash or having principles, I'm not sure of. Some are financially well off but morally bankrupt.
  18. Having read that Darlington bit I was taken by this piece "Mr Singh has subsequently submitted another “take it or leave it bid”, but that has been rejected by the administrators." The important part being that the Administrators turned down the bid. Which makes me wonder exactly what the administrator is trying to achieve for the creditors in this instance. Furthermore, could, indeed would, Begbies do this here? If so then surely that's the example and impetus to both sides to come to an agreement?
  19. Indeed, it's now Mexican stand off. Who's going to blink first?
  20. He's got the padlocks, keys and chains.
  21. Since Meridian Tonight started broadcasting to the whole region, from Newbury, I have been trying, vainly, to get to grips with the whole idea. I can't and now hate it. Obsessed by the hope of hearing something though I tune in. Great news for Gillingham but what about us lot down here? Not a mention, bugger all, not even a whimper!
  22. They didn't need to see it because they foolishly believed the fans were a captive audience and even more foolish than they themselves!
