The Government's response, or rather 'prevarication', on the Petition to save the Transit can be read here .

If the pellet does not leave the rifle when you pull the trigger do not look down the barrel from the end at which the pellet should exit the gun.

Charlton resigned to going down - now playing for pride

I think a lot of clubs in L1 will be anticipating 4 or 6 points gained when playing us next season. If we are relegated that is, and sadly I think we will be. -
That's a lot classier than the "I've never known an Eastleigh girl with honour" riposte which I was expecting!

Oh dear! caught the pedant in full flow! Two! It must be BOGOF time! :smt083

I wish to return this 'joke' as 'Not suitable for purpose'. Can I have my £5 back please Baj?

You're an honorary Eastleigh Girl then!

Thanks! heard mention of the Mexicans on the radio.

Did Stu do the now legendary pre-match cinder track inspection? More seriously, as Maxi tells us, what are things coming to? How does a 5 year old even know of the Harry Roberts crime? You have to wonder about some parents.

Liverpool would be my preference, just to wind up all the Mancs.

They were filming along Derby Rd (The Eastleigh one!) on Wednesday. Must say they were very attentive to their job, approaching and using each junction from every possible angle. No wonder it's so comprehensive.

I saw your implication there! Basingstoke, until MK usurped it, the town of roundabouts!

I lived, as a child, for many years in North Stoneham, on the Bird Aviary. Our address was always given out as North Stoneham, Eastleigh. Our local (about 400 yards from home) was The Cricketers. The Echo now consistently tries to tell us that North Stoneham has disappeared and that the Cricketers is actually in Chandlers Ford! So much for it being a 'local' newspaper.

Royalty! you faux buffoon! More like Royle, my arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrse! ;-)

I tell them Southampton, then when they ask where's that I say it's just outside Eastleigh.:---)

Brit humour on the whole gets a 'whoosh' though Tim. Our American friends are not heavily into irony, unless it was the name of an Indian Chief who fought at the Little Big Horn.

And that's part of the reason the game as a whole is in such a parlous state. -
A loltastic comment!

Take a gander at the 1969 League Cup Final (Swindon v Arsenal) for a heavy pitch! Wasn't that the year they had the Horse Of The Year Show at Wembley a few days previously? It was also dire for the Dirty Leeds v Chelsea FA Cup Final (1970). -

Thanks for that link. So I then did what we all do on Youtube, I clicked on another video. This time it was the ZDS final and a chance to see a young Kevin Moore scoring our second. God Bless you Kevin in your fight for health! -

What Creates Your Happiest Saints Moments
EastleighSoulBoy replied to TijuanaTim's topic in The Saints
I'm sure that all fans of all clubs think that they are the best? These guys that support Saints though, despite cyber wars on here etc, are among the best. And we know that because we've largely stuck by this club through ten plus years of shoite thrown at us and caused by various individuals. Despite the protest marches etc we're still here and probably will be forever. -
What Creates Your Happiest Saints Moments

For us old 'uns May 1st '76 must be top memory for happiness? But there are loads of away days which were happy and fun. Not always because of the actual game. '74/'75 Blackpool away, March time. 40 a side beach footy at 8 in the morning. the natives wondered what hit them! Us Eastleigh boys (and a few London Saints) stopping off at Kidderminster on the way back from Notts County. Loud, Loony and no trouble at all, again the locals were wondering who had let us out for the day. Rich Coakley (RIP) May 1st 76. As we walked through Windsor singing You'll Never Walk Alone. Rich didn't hold a scarf up, it was his trousers. Happy days and memories. Those days out at Orient, Fulham, Oxford (because you felt safe) were fun. Met some really decent lads Oldham fans and we met up a few times when in the same division for drinks and a chat. Have met, and still remember, some fantastic Saints boys over the years. Some sadly no longer with us. God bless them all. -
Were they the missing words Mike? Just a laugh, as I remember the words we used to sing, rather fitting really. IMO.
