  1. Two obee basket cases? I thought the other one had that particular market cornered?
  2. Honest? Ok. Are you Stanley? A straight yes or no will do. No weasel words or the like.
  3. A strike, when called legitimately through the various procedures as laid down in employment law, is exactly that. So calling anyone scum, who is obeying the legal procedures, is rather unfair. It's not easy for someone of our age, Duncan and I are about the same age, to just 'up sticks' and find a job because you don't like what is happening. Sometimes you feel that you have to stay and fight for your principles. The fact that Duncan's principles don't closely match yours, and he does seem altogether more altruistic, does not bestow the label of scum on him!
  4. I am hoping that HMRC are agreeing to let them propose a 20% CVA, only to then veto it because they (HMRC) are owed over 25% by value of the debt. Thus triggering AA's much stated liquidation? They surely cannot roll over and let AA rub their tummies for 20p in the pound over 5 years?
  5. The trouble is matey that many of your less salubrious counterparts wished all hell fire and damnation on us at this time last year, in fact they still wish it on us now! Others are so arrogant in not wanting to see the truth in what this thread has pointed out to them. So harsh in that you are all dragged into this? Yes, but from my perspective what goes around comes around. And from the latest news emanating from the creditors meeting I reckon that they've got away with it. I do hope I'm wrong.
  6. Torbocks it was and they used to do home delivery, with an old boy packing all your shopping into cardboard boxes before going off on his rounds. No toy section until later, early 70's? when the store extended upstairs.
  7. And Alpine will still be posting ;-)
  8. No, just having a gentle laugh with Benjii Boy.
  9. Ali Al Forkup said "If our 'owners' had invested money rather than sucked it out of the club - we would still have Begovic and Kaboul and we couldve stayed up... but its a moot point now and to be honest I 4-1 have had my fil of prem football and the loose morals double standards and greed that come with it... good riddance!" Now that just about describes irony to a the nth degree.
  10. Then I'll quote you, so he doesn't miss your wit and wisdom. Unless he now has me on ignore also?
  11. Now that's ironic! ;-)
  12. HTH http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=22235
  13. Gr8est fanz? PFC Jono is wavering and preparing for that cold sweat as his cheeks redden. "I wish I could go, to be honest it would be a dream to see Pompey in the F.A Cup Final, if it was any other weekend I could go. Im gutted to be honest, knowing the fact that there are plenty of tickets left. I know we will sell out our section in Wembley. But if we did'nt it would be an embarrisment."
  14. Under Lowe, AP would not have got past the first ten games.
  15. But surely this is the answer, at least it is for those who have made a conscious decision to vote UKIP.
  16. The less popular we are with them the more they can focus their anguish, vitriol, hatred and hurt. Rather than look inwardly and acknowledge that they are CHEATS.
  17. That's Stan finished on this one then. You are a bloody spoilsport VFTT !
  18. Fair play to Paul Hart but I have had nowhere near enough of the Skate's misery. "Please sir, can I have some more?"
  19. Fair play and hence part of my disillusionment with Labour. I'll not be voting Tory though.
  20. Well it wouldn't say that now, would it?
  21. Having just read that, and witnessed the goings on up the road, I would be very worried if I was a Janner fan. Straight out of the 'Pompey Book Of Corporate Governance'! All these investors can see are two things. Profit from loaning the club money (football debt) and longer term profit from having parcelled up, and owning, the surrounding land. Not an ounce of thought for the football club or it's fans. (Give me a few thousand years and I may even start to feel sorry for Corporate Ho). Bastards!
