  1. I don't understand the relevance of the lottery aspect. It seems to debase the whole issue of a child's life and innocence. I just don't want my child being a statistic, no matter how minimal that chance may be. Although life is a lottery and presumably any parent would cheat, connive and downright rob to give their child a chance against any 'person' out there who might see that child as a mere 'lottery prize'?
  2. Which is why I can see HMRC, whenever they possibly can, appealing any decision in an effort to stretch this out and cost the FSBs a points deduction. If they can't get them then they know an organisation (FL) who will!
  3. And that, my dear Watson, is exactly why they have woven such a web of deceit and ownership. To avoid any one individual taking the brunt of any legal issues. They desperately need a CVA to protect their own bad asses. Mutually Assured Destruction. Should they be liquidated it would remain to be seen exactly how many could be brought back to the UK for any prosecutions. Does the UK have an extradition treaty with Hayling Island? **EDIT** In fact I find it hard to understand why the Fraud Squad are not crawling all over this. Or maybe, secretly (hopefully), they are?
  4. In that scenario I could see many people tightening their belts like we have never known. Sadly the knock on effect would be job losses not only in manufacturing but also the service industry because people will stay home rather than go out. They will have little choice.
  5. The allegations need airing, I'm 100% with you. Football is in a right mess throughout the world. It's no longer the game which Finney, Matthews, Puskas, Pele or a myriad of boyhood heroes bequeathed us. This needs sorting. It's not just the Skates. Football is now a vehicle for any ne'er do well with a get rich quick scheme in mind.
  6. My reasons also. I had the call almost 45 years ago. With a son, aged eight, my passion was reignited.
  7. My bad, I lost the context of the 'almost' in the text! "and, on February 10, Portsmouth almost became the first Premier League club to be liquidated. "
  8. Just wondering if HMRC could engage in, or would be interested in, some fiscal/legal gerrymandering so that the events do drag past the start of the season? Effectively getting a small payback as the FSBs are liquidated but, more importantly, sending out a clear message to the FL?
  9. In the article it is claimed that the Skates were liquidated. I'm not aware that had happened.
  10. So, are you advocating err.... no transparency? Or, as is better known, lies and cover ups?
  11. Just to clarify things, in case anyone has the wrong impression, our Son (age eight, does go out with his mates. He has boundaries and, as far as I know, keeps within them. He also carries a mobile and has been made aware that not everyone is what they seem and that monsters don't have green skin and drool but look more like his Dad (I might be wrong there?). We are not paranoid but we are certainly, on purpose, very protective. I reckon nipper does do all the things that little boys do (including going outside of his boundaries?) as he comes home dirty, tired and ravenous! Abduction cases dropping to 8, that's 8 too many. How many of those children get back home to their families? How many of them have their life ruined because no amount of counselling can remove that dark terror from the back of their mind? As St Boggy says "I don't want my boy being one of those statistics".
  12. That would be a great suggestion, once we know that County (and Meadow Lane) are safe themselves.
  13. ESB says he'll spend more than the money he saves, on beer at the pub. ESB will also have the wrath of the family on his back ESB will also not be able to come on here and upset our fascist fiends. All things considered, and with due respect ESB says effoff Marje ;)
  14. I do have SKY. I use the Broadband and the family use the rest of the package, although I do watch the odd match when a game holds interest for me. I do see the problems caused, in retrospect, but what way out is there? It really needs football to get it's house in order because the fans (who have SKY) are probably not going to act collectively! Can football do that? SKY have already divided and conquered, with the PL, and only this last month we have seen the FL buckle under the threat of a breakaway PL2!
  15. That may have been the foot in the door and in the ensuing years us fans were never really ITK about much that went on in the boardrooms until the internet. I'd be more inclined to see SKY as the root cause in that they opened the door for the inauguration of the PL and the Greed Train. Yes, we fans lapped it up at first but now we know a little more and can see how wrong it all is.
  16. Including: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1274132/Celtic-target-Southampton-duo-Jason-Puncheon-Rickie-Lambert.html?ito=feeds-newsxml It is the Daily Hate though, so pinch of salt at the ready!
  17. Apparently he's thrown a strop and will not sign unless Riquelme signs for those FSBs.
  18. But did you get all the others correct?
  19. Oh Bugger!
  20. Golly Olly!
  21. RIP and condolences to his family.
  22. There's only one Alan Pardew
  23. No Skates on here today, they are THE BESTEST FANS IN THE WORLD TM and are all, obviously, at Wembley. One day, soon , I hope to be able to sing "They're Pompey now they're dead"
  24. I can see your point there. A paedo can grab your child from your bathroom (as up in Newcastle area a few years ago) just as easily as from round the corner. We don't see a certain family 'acquaintance' purely because of comments he makes which leave us suspicious! I'd still stick with being over cautious. I apologise if I was a little forceful with my previous reply to your comment. I am trying to do what is right to protect my boy (and older step daughter). It may well be over the top but we are not paranoid, just very careful.
  25. I see Duncan has signed that volcano up to his Union. Well done Duncan! Well, everything else is your fault mate!
