  1. DON'T! Just.....you know, just don't!
  2. A good response from NC and reinforces his commitment to both Saints as a whole and AP in particular. The thing is that while the rumour mill was 'spinning' and we were concerned (well, I was!) poor old NC was damned if he did and damned if he didn't because his backing of AP would soon have been spun into 'Oh dear! AP has the chairman's backing' kind of crap. Anyway, all's well. It's now onwards and upwards. A deserved respite and then back into the fray for a season which we all hope is more succesful than the great season we have just experienced. My nipper and I are going to get our first season tickets so we have a lot to look forward to.
  3. StuRomseyRant?
  4. I'm going on the lash for a week when a certain ex Tory PM shuffles off this mortal coil.
  5. Agree about the Millibands, I'm surprised they are not Tories TBH!
  6. Boston Massachussets or Boston Lincs?
  7. Nowhere near as good as the BNP membership card?
  8. Many years ago we went to see the Shots play Hereford because Terry Paine was playing for them. Saints had been away at WBA on the previous (Friday) evening. We changed trains at Woking and bumped into our first Aldershot fan. Arthur English! Had a great time chatting to him and it seemed we were the only hereford fans in the ground. Shots to come up for me. CBA about whoever leaves L1 to go up.

  11. Paper towel, use it to turn the tap off.
  12. So what will happen if a Con/Lib pact narrowly fails? There will be another election, so will we see prominent Tories and Liberals, in seats like Eastleigh, facing opposition from the other (Tory or Lib) party? From a friend who studies, as a hobby, politics. "Mr Huhne is a bit of a political history anorak and in negotiating a coalition might seek an agreement to safeguard his seat like the one that lead to the 'coupon' election of 1918 - when following the Lib/Con coalition of Lloyd george and Bonar-Law, both leaders jointly wrote to thier constituency parties to endorse the same offical 'Coalition Candidate' to stand against Labour." Thereby ensuring that each party's voters support the other candidate and effectively negate any other votes. So, by your reckoning that will also be wrong?

  14. It's actually quite a habit, TBH. We were taught this as apprentices because in maintenance you come into contact with many oils and solvents so it helps prevent any infections or skin problems.
  15. If this is so then some on here will be deeply upset.
  16. Ahaaa! Stanley isn't Dune and Dune isn't Stanley! ISP check please mods. You must have it on record?
  17. Have you thought that maybe 63% of the voters didn't want a rabid right wing dictatorship but would prefer government by concensus? Of the people, for the people, by the people?
  18. You do make me chuckle young Stanley. Dastardly voters indeed! Those of us who voted tactically have as much right to as those who change their mind from BNP to UKIP. Here's to a Lab/Lib coalition! :partyman: If it only lasts long enough to get rid of the FPTP system!
  19. Yup, PR at the next election and Stanley knows that's the end of the two party system. A system which suited both left and right far more than PR will. No wonder the teddy has come flying out of the pram.
  20. Oh dear! Brown won his seat? Then he's elected. End of whinge. Grubby? for entering into discussions with the Lib Dems? That makes the Tories and Lib Dems grubby also. It's not going how you wanted it to Stanley and you're throwing your toys out of the pram. P.S. It's hardly going the way I want it to either!
  21. See! Told you! It's a conspiracy! Everyone's got it in for us! A.Grant
  22. Hiccup was good, ex Chelsea IIRC?
