  1. I thought Forecast was on loan still? And even if he isnt surely it would make more sense to have Bart so he stays match fit in case he has to come on on saturday.
  2. Add in Lambert, Hammond and Gobern (if he comes on) and we have a very tall and physical team. Now we need to combine defensive stability with attacking threat and we'll be a force to be reckoned with in this league.
  3. To be fair though £6 million AND Stern John was an offer too good to turn down.
  4. Im suprised you found one that works.
  5. As the title says im going to Wembley for the first time next month to see the England friendly vs Slovenia and im wondering if there are any Wembley veterans on here who have any sage advice about how best to get down there, places to go before hand, prices etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  6. 16,000 fans is still well within the top 5 for attendances this season. Dont forget that the average for this league is a little over 10k with only Leeds, Norwich, Us and Charlton likely to regularly have 17,000+ (incl. away support).
  7. If they are both prepared to put in the effort and play as well as they can (even if it is to get a move later on) then im all for both of them staying, especially as this close to the end of the window its unlikely we'll be able to get able replacements. BUT, if they aren't prepared to put in the effort then get rid ASAP as they'll only drag down the team spirt and morale of the rest of the squad.
  8. 17.5k max and that will still be in the top 4 highest attendances in this league over the weekend.
  9. Does anyone know if you can cancel an ebay bid? I was looking to buy a mickey mouse outfit for fancy dress, put in a bid without looking at the details and now im only 30 mins away from accidently buying Newcastle United!!!
  10. Problem is if you have one player on 50k a week and everyone else on 15k max then your gonna cause rifts in the team. Plus thats a horrendous amount of money to spend on league 1 wages even for a billionaire and he has stated all allong that he likes to run his companies as self sufficiently as possible. I realise thats almost impossible to do in football but so far we have only spent what we have made in out-going players. So unless we lose one or more of the big money players we arent gonna be getting anyone like Camara coming in.
  11. I heard Pulis is the make weight in Sagas move to Benfica ;-)
  12. Really really hope he doesnt go. He is by by far the best striker currently on the books.
  13. 2-0 Saints - Lambert and Lallana
  14. I imagine there will be another 2000 or so walk up tonight.
  15. If we play it along the ground and use the wingers and full backs to get to the by-line we wont need to break the offside trap too often. At least we know that both strikers are capable of scoring from all directions. with either foot and their heads.
  16. Would love Rasiak to stay as i think he could play a big part for us this season. But if it has to be a choice of one from him and Saga then i would have to choose Saga as i feel Lambert and Rasiak are too similar to be an effective partnership.
  17. I thought Lallana was right footed?
  18. A CB in the Jaidi mold (still hoping to get Jaidi himself to be honest) a strong Midfield general (like Matt Holland but prefereably younger) and a pacy right winger. If we get all those we'll have a very good good squad.
  19. He needs more crosses from the by-line. His two best chances both came from crosses where he headed just wide on the first and was offside on the second, admitedly he missed that one two but with a few more chances and some match fitness he'll start banging them in again. Both Harding and Murty have proved so far that they can put very good balls into the box and with some proper out and out wingers supporting them (neither Lallana or James were really willing to run the lines today) we will look a much more balanced attacking force.
  20. You have to remember that nearly every ball in from a Millwall set-piece was bang on the money which significantly helped to put pressure on our defence, other teams arent gonna be nearly as accurate as that. In open play for the most part, we looked pretty solid and any time a CB made a mistake the other one or one of the full-backs was there to cover. Overall a point against on the more organised and physical teams is a very good result, especially when we are expected to strengthen the squad considerably in the next 3 weeks.
  21. In that article it said that he hadn't bothered to apply for a work permit as he didnt believe it would pass not that it had been refused. If he does apply for one then he might still be accepted.
  22. Play the reserves on saturday in that case ;-)
  23. Are you sure they sold out the allocation? I seem to remember there only being about 500 of them at most.
  24. When the management tried everything to get him to leave, freezing him out of the first team in order to get him off the wage bill.
  25. Lots of city players gonna be looking for loans this season. Perhaps a few will filter down as far as league 1.
