Good game, good result. I thought the defence handled their brick ****house strikers very well and their goal should have been ruled out for a handball against their LM in the build up to it. Fantastic support from the fans again especially with all thats happened this season. Also good to see the response from the fans when Chaplow came on. Nice to see that fans still remember what he did for us even though it's been 3 seasons now nearly since he came here on loan. Shame he then had to go through the back of Surman a few times almost as soon as he came on

Watched the Man Utd vs Derby game on ITV HD the other day and the difference between that and Terrestrial is phemoninal.

This isnt really a pub ettiquette post but it is pub related. The one thing that really annoys me in bar/clubs like Vodka Revs and such like is when your at the bar and all you want to order is a pint/bottle/etc and the group of people in front of you (normally women) order loads of ****tails that take k'in ages to make. So your stuck there for 10 mins waiting to order while the poor barmen has to make 10 rediculously long winded ****tails. My idea for a bar is to have some sort of speed lane section where if you want to order 1 or 2 drinks you can as long as they are pints or bottles. Leaving the larger area of the bar for those who want ****tails or to order rounds etc.

Anyone know how many fans we're taking up there? Sold out last year and that was a midweek game so seems abit strange that not too many seem to be taken this time round. Especially as we seem to play much better away.
-
Really makes you appreciate having a stadium half a mile from the city centre.
-
Still too many arguably worse teams around them for Pompey to go down i think. A new manager nearly always brings a change in form (i say nearly because it never seems to bloody happen to us)!

1-0 to Saints Scrappy game with probably about 5 chances all night and Saga's finishing will prove the difference.

Im just glad Beattie is no longer their.

If it is called off it'll be only the second game since St Mary's was opened. -
Fully expecting the team to be: -------------Davis--------------- James---Size---Perry---Surman--- Lallana---Wotton---Gillet---Euell/McGlaggon ----------Saga---McGoldrick------ Subs: Bart, Liptak, Schniederlin(if fit), BWP, James/Skacel Not too bad a team really if they all play to their potential. Would prefer to have Skacel and Surman down the left but i dont thinks its likely.

I dont think hes even played a game this season has he? We dodged a very expensive bullet by offloading him in the summer. A good defender and totally committed. Unfortunately that often led to him charging recklessly into tackles and getting injured.
-
Seems the most likely course of action.
-
Not too shabby. Was hoping for a full-back but there is always the loan option in a few weeks time. As long as keeping the likes of Skacel and Euell doesn't mean we have to go into adminstration before the end of the season then its been a pretty good transfer window especially compared to what most people feared would happen (i.e the complete gutting of the team).

The mind boggles at how much better we could have done this season with all these players in from the start. I dont know how much money they have saved on wages but im pretty sure the extra 5000+ fans we would have had week in week out would have offset the cost. False economy in its purest form.

Yep he was there. Didnt hang round long though, he was at the airport 40 mins after the game had ended.

I dont know whether its because referees are cracking down more on 'dangerous' challenges or whether because we have a younger and therefore possibly a more defensively neive (spl) squad, but it does seem that we are getting an extraordinary large number of cautions and sendings off this season. What does Molyneux's card today tgake it up to? By my reckoning its 5 where as last year we had only 3 all season and the year before just 1. Also saw today that Martinez was very critical about our physicallity today and said we should have had at least one more sending off. I didn't see the game due to work so can anyone who went comment on whether they thought we were particularly physical with our tackling today and why they think we seem to be getting more cards this season?
-
We never break any teams runs (unless they're bad runs) so its inevitably going to be a Swansea win 2 or 3 nil. Scotland will **** all over our defence.

saints - Swansea to be featured match on ITV

It probably means the actual game footage will be the **** ground level camera angles with a dodgy voice over comentary like the Leeds game 2 years ago then. -
If anything im amazed the fans have stayed supportive for as long as they did before it turned ugly.
-
Absolutely. No team should have their goalkeeper as player of the season. It says too much about the defensive state of those teams. Im hoping that one of the strikers really gets their act together and find the net more often than once every other game.

Against random lower league Norwegian teams though. We beat one team 0-12 FFS!!

Going to London Waterloo. At least half of the Manure fans on my coach were ****neys!
