Pele last season was sold against his wishes according to Javi. NO proof though unless the actual player comes on here and accepts/denies it.

15,000 tickets sold, Season ticket holder allowed to buy more tickets
Dannyboy_Saint replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
Back of Block 39 again . Got some happy memories of games from there. 4-1 against Southend, 3-2 against Sheff Utd, 2-0 Leicester on about 3 different occasions over the years!! -
15,000 tickets sold, Season ticket holder allowed to buy more tickets

Bit harsh on those trying to get tickets through general sale if they're gonna allow ST holders to buy any number of tickets for the 3 days previous. Whats to stop people from buying 10+ and then forcing people to pay over the odds on the day because its sold out? -
Nope, not even in the preliminary sqaud of 22!!
-
And in those 3 games that hes played in the hole behind the main striker he has looked more dangerous than Lallana and McGoldrick have been playing in that position in the last 15 games. Plus he brings abit of physical presence sorely missing in midfield as well as experience. Remember McGoldrick saying after the Norwich game that Euell was constantly talking the other players through the games, encouraging, organising and leading by example. He may not be the best player in the squad but we do seem to play better with him in it.

Unfortunately it may not be up to him whether he stays or not. If a premiership team comes in with a £1.5m+ bid for him would the board really turn it down? Unlikely in my opinion. The likelihood of us keeping our young stars relies entirely on us being able to shift the old ones first.

If we're keeping Flybe for another season at least. Does that mean that next years home shirt is gonna have another white box sticker around the logo again?!?

Liverpool away, never been to Anfield and i need to hurry up before they build there new ground

Which is why most maps are now very open and you appear on the radar when you open fire so staying in one place for too long is tantamount to suicide.

Multiplayer is very good. Much more tactical than COD4 due to the fact that no-one has laser scopes and night vision goggles. Love being a sniper holed up in some corner of the map sniping away any unsuspecting enemies

Until Svensson is fit and mobile, Perry is far and away our best defender. His lack of pace is a problem but as long as one of Cork, Pearce or Lancashire are alongside him to provide the pace then our central defensive partnership should be ok. Full backs are still a problem mind. Cork and Skacel are alrite for a stop-gap but both would be much better served further up the pitch.

Reading V Saints Post Match thoughts and reaction
Dannyboy_Saint replied to exit2's topic in The Saints
Un-freaking-believable!!! Well done Saints you've given me something to smile about this weekend. Cant wait to get into work Tuesday and see what my Reading fan workmate has to say! -
Very few teams are gonna find it possible to even draw, let alone win at the Madjeski this season so any sort of result would be phemoninal.
-
Who knows. We cant change that now at any rate. We have who we have and so all we can do is hope that the team clicks sooner rather than later.

the best thing that happened today was....

They had young players sure but with the right mixture of big experienced players to back them up. -
Its interesting to think that if Crouch had stayed on as chairman and had enacted all the cost cutting methods that Lowe and Wilde have done, whether we would still have as much negativity and stay away fans as we do at the moment. The time has come to put aside your hatred for the chairman and actually support the team on the pitch. I for one believe that NOTHING will remove Lowe at this moment in time, whether we loose one match or 30 matches in a row therefore by wishing defeat and low attendances you are simply hastening the destruction of this club that you say you are desparately trying to save. The only thing that will remove this current regime is a successful takeover. Any takeover is gonna be more likely if everyone in the club pulls together.

I would like to see us line up as: -------------Davis---------------- Cork---Svensson---Pearce---Skacel Lallana--Schniederlin--Euell--Surman ---McGoldrick---Pekhart/Robertson-- However if JP/Lowe continue to maintain there negative 4-2-2-1-1 then i expect the team to be: ------------Davis--------------- Cork--Pearce--Svensson--Skacel ------Schiederlin--Surman------- McGoldrick--------------Euell---- --------------Lallana------------ ------------Robertson-----------

I dont deny that we are rubbish and therefore more than likely to loose whether we're on sky or not but having both away and both home results exactly the same? Bit spooky if you ask me.
-
Unfortunately we are. We play Crystal Palace away somewhen in december i believe. That makes 2 0-1 home defeats and 2 4-1 away defeats on sky so far this season. If we loose to Palace 4-1 then we know that we have a curse.
-
We need to go back to 4-4-2. Its no good having DMG up fornt on his own as he simply cant keep hold of the ball. The only player we have who is capable of playing that lone hold-up role we loaned to that shower of sh1te who beat us today with yep you guessed it, a long punt up field for there big strong striker to muscle onto and cause chaos in the box. The moment Pekhart came on and we went to 4-4-2 we looked much much more dangerous as the Bristol defenders then had to worry about 2 strikers in the box instead of one. Its just a shame that JP didnt change it until it was too late.
-
Like fudge there is. Theres barely 25,000 seats available with the 3 corners roped off and the OS would definately have said summit about it if we had had that many tickets sold. Im guessing for a conservative 16k with 1500 away fans.

Interesting how different the perspectives are

Some of those reports are awful. 2 claim that we had Wotton and Euell playing!?!?!? -
The problem is who are you gonna get in to replace him though? You know how this club works, if JP leaves then Lowe will simply employ Wotte or Henderson as first team coach and we'll be in exactly the same predicament. I like JP, i think hes an honest and positive coach with a good idea of how to play football the 'right' way. Unfortunately this league is very very tough to play pretty football in and over the last 14 games its obvious that Jan doesnt have the desire or perhaps even the know-how to change the style of play to improve results. For that reason im starting to side towards the get rid category but ONLY if we have a replacement with the qualities that you have listed. Finding that right person could be the only redeeming feature of Lowe and Wilde's horrific second chance at club chairmenship.
