  1. No mention of sueing TheSun for libel/slander (whichever one it is !!) Straight up denial and specific to each person mentioned in The Suns' report suggests guilt to me. Lets hope it goes very very sour for our neighbours!! That, and a new legit owner for us....good times ahead!!
  2. The press release by Mark Fry and David Hudson (joint Administrators) said that an undisclosed non-refundable deposit had been paid Who cares what that is, the employees got paid and their exclusivity period began. Financial due dilegence has already taken place, (so this deposit is NOT to look at the books), but now LEGAL due dilegence is taking place, as I understand things, this is to make sure that the assets being bought, ground, land employees, etc are owned by who they are supposed to be. Why oh why is there this constant negativity around this potential deal??? If it does fall through, I hope all those who doubted it have immense satisfaction "in telling us so"!!!! Idiots!!! I for one love the silence and the secrecy for one reason only, it means to me that they are professional people conducting themselves in a professional manner, and also, are not on the face of it "egotists in it for the koudos and limelight". It makes a fantastic change!!! Sure, I am keen to know who our mystery buyer is, but if it takes till 1159pm on the twenty-first day, then thats fine with me!!
  3. A proper post!...except at £200 ST's we should expect to sell out really!! More realistic price is 300-350 unless they build in some two-year ticket scheme, which I think would be good.
  4. Not enough!!! Year 1 WIN League One Year 2 WIN CCC Year 3 WIN Premiership and FA Cup Year 4 WIN CL, PR, FA Cup and League Cup Year 5 WHO CARES!!!! NOW THATS OPTIMISM FOR YOU!!!!!
  5. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1689493,00.html Who is it? What is it? At least we might be good at something this year!!
  6. Rumour-monger!!! Source?
  7. I think you may have understood my points. Until the transaction of converting SLH into "newcompany Ltd", (and we do not know if thats happened yet) technically the SLH shares exist, despite their intrinsic worthlessness and non-trading status. My point therefore is that the Trust CAN still exist until such point as "its memebers shares" are no longer in existance. You are talking in the present (particularly your OP) in regard to the fact that we are already a limited company. Until then, I would imagine also that legally the Trust HAS to exist. Once the takeover IS complete and the shares are sold and delisted then hopefully NI will do the decent thing and disband the trust...and depending on its funds either give them to a charity or do something for its memebers!!! Bet you then that 838 or whatever it is make themselves known!! By the way, I have absolutely nothing to do with the Trust and never have!! I want to see a new fans group. HTH!!!
  8. Re-read my post
  9. Im summising here but would imagine that SLH shares still "technically" exist even if they aren't tradable and effectively worthless. So, from that point of view the Trust can still exist in the form of proxy share-holdings. NI once told me though that members of the trust could be so even though they do not own shares...not sure the point of that but may indicate that it may carry on...I hope not though!! It would be interesting to know the legality of the trust once the shares wiped oout in the process of SLH PLC to "NEW OWNER LTD". Does anyone KNOW?
  10. I sincerely hope that Leon Crouch is nothing to do with the new board(s). This is not because of his inability to communicate effectively in the media, nor is it anything to do with his previous boardroom scufffles (for want of a better word/phrase). And not discounting his obvious love and passion for Saints, or his "bankrolling" of the club for a while. He certainly put money in and full credit must go to him for that, but, unless I've missed something in the press or on here etc. it was quoted that he would be servicing the May payroll for the club, but then they weren't paid until the Pinnacle bid paid their deposit. So, overall, and I base my opinion on everything I have heard him say in the media, and from the few times I have spoken with him, I hope that he has nothing to do with the club other than being a supporter in the truest sense of the word, by buying his season ticket or Corporate Box. The ONLY people (at boardroom level) should be the new owner and HIS people who have never served on any of our boards before. This is a chance for a new beginning in every sense of the word. I do hope that MLT IS our new football club chairman. He is probably the only talisman capale of uniting an increasingly fractious fanbase and he is extremely media savvy. He will restore some of the missing pride in our club. It will be refreshing to support my club with renewed faith that we have a good mix of people who all want the same things. I would also welcome someone like Nick Holmes into the club. Undisputedly a loyal person who in tandem with MLT could help to install that trait from top to bottom. Sure, players will come and go in this era, more so than in theirs perhaps, but something this club needs, possiblbly even more than immediate success is stability. Lets hope that the new owner is definitely in it for the medium to long haul and creates a club we can ALL be proud to support again!!!
  11. This thread just about justifies what I have thought for a very long time. Enough is enough of SISA and The Saints Trust "representing all Saints Fans" and there should be a new OFFICIAL SUPPORTERS association/club/group/ etc. This should be done with the backing of Southampton Football CLub and be the only official group other than "geographical" groups, like London Saints, Northern Saints, Away Saints or whatever, who should be under the umbrella of the new official group - whatever that may be called. It should run for the benefit of fans and the community of Southampton perhaps run on the lines of a foundation. It would be great to see the club claw back its flagging reputation for running the best soccer schools and get OUR youngsters to attend our schemes rather than Chelsea's and even The Skates. Sorry, gone off topic a little but I think it would be great for a saints supporters to group to be involved in supporting this sort of activity. I believe it would help to build support of Saints and keep the quality of our academy up for the future. Maybe, if the new owner and his board are littered with former players, then maybe they should make Ian Juryeff one of the first signings. To sum up, we need a strong united and dynamic Supporters Group that will be highly regarded by other teams fans. Any ideas or nominees welcome!!!
  12. It pains me to say mate, I agree with you!!! See you tomorrow...whats the plan if its raining???!!!!
  13. Probably but then Lord "smug f*****" Mal-whiney wont be involved
  14. But is Kop Football Ltd "intrinsically linked" to LCF Ltd???!!!!!
  15. I thnk part of the problem, particlarly for clubs outside the Premiership is the "transfer windows". This restriction on trade means that clubs cannot "bail themselves out " say in October...or March, if they find themselves in difficulty. During the "no transfers allowed" months the only real way to get money is by borrrowing...catch 22 for most. IMHO the immediate removal of the transfer window will benefit clubs more for financial and existance reasons, than for the supposed reason of "fairness" that the powers thought it would create on the playing side of things.
  16. OMG!!! You really are so very negative! I have never understood people like you who are so pesemistic before you know the facts....whats the point? Are you one of those "I told you so" people who love the attention? You are definitely not alone on this forum but I think this is probably one of the most negative posts I have read. I dread what it must have been like being/knowing you through all the much darker days of the last three months or so or even longer. OR have you been having the time of your life telling everyone "I told you we'd get relegated from Premiership...I told you Lowe would come back....I told you we'd get relegated from CCC.....I told you we'd go into Administration" PATHETIC mate....its people like you that set barriers in life that never achieve greatness....tell enough people something enough times and they believe it..... BET you any money Ronaldo, Kaka, Tiger, Nadal...etc etc. never think like that.
  17. THAT would be MY worst nightmare!! Woods IS the best in his chosen field....RL never has been!

    Just heard

As I said, Ferguson is unlikely. You clearly have a very negative outlook on life. I pity you. Cant remember if Coppell has, but Ince and DF have already managed in League One so maybe the retard quip is more suited to someone who has clearly got annoyed over someones "wishlist". IMO (and maybe I should PM you to get your approval first?) Saints are potentially going to be a very exciting project going forward (assuming everything pans out) so there WILL be huge interest in the managers job, that if it ever went public. My belief is that if MLT is involved, the wheels will alrready be in motion.

    Just heard

Dowie would be just ok. My hope is any of these (in order of preference): 1. Tisdale 2. D.Ferguson(even though unlikely!) 3. Coppell 4. Ince 5. Magilton NOT WOTTE!!!
  20. Does anyone take what you read in The Echo as gospel anyomore........they turned into just another tabloid in regard to Saints years ago when they went "Daily" rather than evening, and dare I say it, G.Hiley went to Saintsfc.co.uk Well gone are the days of reading the Echo to "find out the truth"!!!!!!
  21. I think what was said by Mark Fry was that agreement HAS been reached with all ceditors and "Legal Diligence" is taking place. I understand these to be that what is said to be owned by SLH/SFC etc IS legally owned by those parties. I took this to mean that ALL financial DD had been concluded. I imagine its now Lawyers working instead of accountants. I would also hope that "football plans" see being out into place so that it will be all systems go the moment of completion and announcement!

  23. Posted on another thread The start of season attendances will be based on several things; 1) Who takes over ownership, and their percieved wealth/ambition. 2) Who is Manager 3) Who the players are and whether there is any feel good factor about signings 4) The ST and MD price As far as pricing is concerned, the new owner(s) should offer a decent price, say £253 per season (£11 per game), if you purchase a two year ticket. A one year ticket 2009/10 should be £299 (£13 per game). A MD ticket should then be £16 per game in advance or £20 on the day Based on these prices I believ there would be in the region of 10-12K TWO YEAR ST holders and 4-6K ONE YEAR ST holders. So, on the lower estimate that would generate attendances of 14K and revenue form tickets of at least £3.73million. At the upper estimates it would generate attendances of 18K and revenue of £4.83 million. Attendances between 14 and 18K are very realistic and would still create a reasonble atmoshere because those figures do not include any away support, of which we will probably do well on because of SMS and thappeal to away fans. With a wealthy owner, a good manager and two or three "nice" signings I can see our attendances average over 20K next season BUT IMHO the owners have to get the prices right to start with! They need to recognise the S*** we've had to put up with and the climate we are in and be fan centric. Any new owner worth his salt needs to have a five year plan to return to the Premiership before he can even begin to think abouth making any ROI, and so he needs to get the fan base built up very quickly to help in that plan. We will see..........hopefully!
  24. You make it sound all so simple. I'm an "A", always ahve always will be. Unfortunately because I need to pay the bills my job means working Saturdays so I cant attend as much as I would like. However, I "follow home and away without fail" - always have, always will - either on the phone, internet or radio, or tv. My work during games is shoddy!! A Fan in my opinion is ANYONE who loves the club. You cannot catagorise them, other than optimists, pesimists, ****s, hooligans, students(of everythig SFC), opinionated, etc. etc. I know "fans" who go every week but know SFA about players, about the goings on, does this mean that they are not fans?!! There are also people who dont go who "know everything" because they live, eat,and sleep Saints. Who is the better fan???? A, B, C, or D Eurosaint???
  25. It was Bitterne Park, my brother played against him for his school (who were national champions) and he wasnt very "standout" at 15/16 (unlike Franny eg), which is apparently why Saints didnt take him and the Skates did!
