  1. Indeed. The Times also picks up on this story (can't link to it unfortunately without having to give Murdoch money).
  2. Overrated pap. (Sorry pap). And would depress a labrador.
  3. You really are odd. Viking (for all his many faults) actually has experience of these planes and other transports - which you choose to dismiss as 'non-sensical' [sic].
  4. Al Qaeda was driven out of Afghanistan almost a decade ago. The British and the coalition have been fighting the Taliban, who have never been a direct threat to the West, and who have never mounted any kind of attack outside of Afghanistan. (The Pakistani Taliban is different).
  5. I'll raise you: The Tenant (for the failed suicide followed by the second more successful try).
  6. That would do it.
  7. Only if you invite me to one of your 'marketing' exercises for BAT.
  8. Yes, but Alpine's very angry.
  9. Jesus H! Have you seen your post count?
  10. Rangers will be liquidated before the end of the season, according to Channel Four news, quoting the administrators. Staggering. Once the psychological barrier is crossed....
  11. And Obama responds to this 'dressing down' - along with Britain, Germany and France - by re-opening talks with Iran over the nuclear facilities. http://edition.cnn.com/2012/03/06/world/meast/iran-nuclear/index.html?hpt=hp_t2
  12. Claridges is a hotel you petit-bourgeois.
  13. Three too many.
  14. Wasn't there also a brief period when Davies, Paine AND Chivers (before his sale to Spurs) were in the same team?
  15. Lord Duck, meet Jackanory.
  16. That chart is upside down, surely.
  17. The 'complicated' stuff they do pretty well, I'd have thought. Hence this thread, hence this inquiry, hence this 'little difficulty' that the Murdochs have found themselves in. You do know who broke this story, right?
  18. Yes, because THAT's what's wrong with British journalism.
  19. I'll be curious to see whether the ITV series covers the story of the crew.
  20. The moment News Corps is charged (as seems increasingly likely) under the US's Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, I'd be willing to bet that The Sun is history, at least as an NI imprint. The sheer scale of newsroom criminal activity emerging from the Leveson Inquiry will also probably lead to the Murdochs being tied up in even more expensive and damaging Congressional inquiries for years to come. The damage the Murdoch empire has done to journalism is immense, but even that pales compared to the damage done to British public life, which NI rags have turned into a mafiosi playground, filled with routine cash bribes to those craven enough to play ball, and sinister threats and intimidation directed at those with an ounce of dignity.
  21. The last time I looked, I remember that Brum's away record was actually worse than ours. Still think Reading are the main threat right now.
  22. Sounds more like he's had a lawyer's letter from the PL.
  23. Just hit the nationals: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/portsmouth/9116030/Portsmouth-may-fold-before-the-end-of-Championship-season-says-administrator-of-cash-strapped-club.html
  24. I think you can assume the FAPP is in the post.
  25. Exactly. They will be liquidated - the lack of a precedent has nothing to do with it. The only question is when.
