  1. We have scored 41 of our 60 goals in the 2nd half they have let in 39 in the 2nd.
  2. That goal sent a tingle down my spine when they showed it at The Mayflower the other Sunday.
  3. My worry is that Rochdale & Brentford at home & Tranmere away might hurt us in the end, three games where we should have got at least 7 points.
  4. Not to bad a day for us could have been a lot worse.
  5. Both Posh & Bompey in front.
  6. Down to 6th by the end of the day then, bloody away games being called could ruin our season as we could end up with 4 away on the bounce.
  7. Trafford Park Industrial Estate the pallet network I work for have a depot there.
  8. I only pay income tax as it is fully funded but I don't worry about that with what I earn.
  9. Company car Mike won't cost me a penny if we have to go up that way.
  10. Thought he was a statue.
  11. All in all not a bad night only Posh win the rest lose, with a bit of luck Bompey will have to play Gas when they are on the up.
  12. Could be a chance to mend any damaged fences and put a larger event on at SMS during the close season.
  13. I have not got the time to go back over threads and details around the time SMS was built but if my memory is correct I think it was stated that the ground was built in a way that it could be extended apart from the Itchen stand.
  14. He thanked Merrington for looking after him between the ages of 16 & 18 and said he played his best football during the 18 months Bally was manager. With regard to Docs pop at the board I have a feeling that he might have had a senior moment and thought that Lowe was still in charge.
  15. I think you will find that was Dave Merrington, all in all a very enjoyable night I had forgotten how funny the Doc could be.
  16. Perhaps the mods could change the tittle of the thread slightly under the circumstances to make it a little more respectful.
  17. Saw a paramedic giving him CPR as they took him out of the ground did not look good at all.

    Lambert 50

Plays like a 50 year old at times.
  19. Agree 100% with all of the above, forget the performance it was 3 points at the end of the day we all know we can play much better. I hope the chap is ok saw them working on him as they took him out of the ground did not look good though.
  20. I nearly spat my lunch over the dash of the car when I read that, I phoned Leitch and asked him if he read the article before it went to press, he said he did, I rest my case.
  21. Fonte could become a Saints legend, Mick Channon is a Saints legend and a player that has given me and many others so much pleasure over many years. The Echo should have proof read it correctly in the first place.
  22. I think the Rialto was on the corner of Janson Road Shirley.
  23. The Echo can't get anything right, in tonights edition centre pages, Saints Legends, there is a picture of Mick Channon with the caption, on the ball Jose Fonte against Walsall, wonder how many more cock ups I will find when I get round to reading it.
  24. I think Mitch still has a shop on the R/H/S going down from the Bargate in Hanover Buildings there franchised shops in Bedford Place, North Baddesley, East Street, Romsey and West End there are two shops run by ex Mitchells lads Headmasters Portswood and Simom Upson Carlton Place.
  25. The Cinema up by Parkhouse & Wyatt was called the Classic and on the other side you had the Odean near Portland Street, the ABC where the Square Balloon is.
