Whats wrong with Connolly?! he is technically a better player than Lambert. Granted, they do different jobs, and Lambo is far more effective in L1, but these two are, imho, the best partnership in L1, and would frighten CCC sides too. I am very positive about the second half of the season, can see us going unbeaten and scraping into 4th/5th Dreamland:p?

hmmmmm just got in having read this briefly on the back of the echo. Seems a bit strange and a little unfair on Ward - but im tempted to believe that he was just a bit stupid to count his chickens because, as it turned out, he was second choice. NC is not afraid to be cut throat by the looks of things, which is not a problem once in a while, just as long as we dont become THAT rich club that everyone hates!

I really dont understand people's negative response to this.... If reports are to be believed then Leicester, Notts Forest and Norwich were all after him (to name a few), he is 22, built like a the proverbial brick house and highly rated by Exeter fans. He will learn from Perry and Jaidi and grow into a top PL CB, or at least i assume that is the aim. Welcome Dan, I for one am happy to have you here. I must admit im quite disappointed that this hasnt gone through yet. If Tac-Tics is to be believed (which I think he is) then the first movement with regards to Ward was on the 3rd which is 10 days ago now. That coupled with the fact that the Seaborne rumour is gathering pace, suggests to me that the club are not confident that the Ward transfer will go ahead. I hope im proved wrong!

Bizarre appointment really. Still at least it wont effect the stocky transfer so im pleased. Wouldnt be surprised if there is one hell of a backlash from Burnleh fans tho

Play the best available team for everything. It sends the wrong message to the players and the fans if you send out a team that clearly implies "well it doesnt really matter". We are trying to reinstate ourselves as a top club in english football. The way to do this is to win promotion, win trophies and beat higher league opposition, gaining media attention on the way. We have a chance to do this so lets go all out I say.

At the end of the day, it is clear that AP does rate Lloyd quite highly and i reckon he will continue to start him. He clearly sees something that many others dont and for that reason i rate LJ because i trust AP. Not having a dig and suggesting people dont trust AP, its interesting to hear what ppl think of him, its a very interesting debate.
