Pardew had us playing sublimely at times and I do think people are a bit too quick to ignore how good we were last season, but I honestly think Adkins' style is more likely to get us promoted. We are very hard to beat.

I haven't been to a game since January when we were on fire, and I watched us brush aside teams who are regarded as tough opposition. Since then, there's been a sea of comments after every game about how we are playing poorly but grinding out results. Are we actually playing poorly? Surely we are just playing effectively? I think that is what Adkins has brought to the team. We seem to be more effective in this league than we were at times last season. Interested to hear views of people who have attended regularly recently.
