At a time when Patrice Evra has been abused by a fellow pro over the colour of his skin, Henderson thinks it wise to cry to the local press about once in a career having something thrown at him from 15 odd yards in a local derby grudge match? No other industry will compensate you as heavily as football does for this so some advice: 1) Put up with it without crying or f**k off out of football and get another job 2) If you're in the public eye and you don't like the attention don't use twitter 3) If you're going to complain about such abuse do it after the SMS game where you're now in line for so much more abuse than you would have got.. Oh and by the way every clubs fans will seem cocky compared to pmuff, you know why? Because they aren't even a viable business, let alone football club with a bitter and twisted fan base just waiting to see their club drop like a stone down the divisions or cease to exist at all.

Super point tonight. Would have taken that in good conditions let alone in the snow. Fox's 2nd yellow is a woeful decision and a good job he only misses Millwall where I assume Harding will come in. Little surprised Lambert didn't fire one at goal from the freekick at the death but all in all chuffed tonight. Table still looks pretty tidy.

The topless saints lads at the front are mentalists

This exactly. Fox has been the only player to consistently fail to maintain the ball which means 9 of 10 outfielders are coping superbly. We're a quicker passing team with better controllers of the ball than birmingham and it's showed for 45 mins. Need to create more though as hard as the conditions are. Brum could grab one against the run of play and take the 3 points. They have an excellent home record to be fair. COYR.. Pull something out 2nd half!

The 5th Round Draw - Bolton at home (if we beat Millwall!)
rshephard3 replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
Plenty saying winnable but not with 2nd string which, if maintaining our league position, will be used. Bolton will see the cup as a welcome distraction from a pretty c**p mixed bag of a season whilst we have a great season going which is already looking a tiny bit wobbly of late.. Does anyone else not think we'd see the likes of Reeves/Barnard/Bart/Martin in a game V's Bolton if we get past Millwall? Or do people think we'd start taking it more seriously if a 6th rnd tie was up for grabs? -
Its going to fill in our tuesday off between Cardiff and West Ham isn't it? I would say, therefore, that we will be playing VERY FEW first teamers. Potentially this might mean dumping out in this replay meaning Derby doesn't need rearranging on 18th.. I think I've got all my dates right, correct me if not!

Is this the s**t support that has filled near on every league away end this season? From a city of less than 300000 that doesn't have much support dotted around the country like some bigger clubs, meaning the large majority of our away support comes travels from the south coast? The s**t support that nearly every fan of every team we've played away this season who happens to have had a conversation with a saints fan gets reported back to this forum as 'the best set of fans this season'.. We might not be manchester united with flares and the like but I'd certainly disagree with describing our support as s**t!

Nice to get a replay especially for Lee to get a match at SMS. Happy enough with that. Good for Bart and Martin to get a decent game under their belts today.

Been past Dorchesters ground a number of times and yes I believe there is an incorporated supermarket

I'll say it again. We will not finish in the top 2!
rshephard3 replied to Cestrian Saint's topic in The Saints
Exactly right. I know emotions get the better of people but all this 'look at me, I predicted Saints would start to f**k up before everyone else' doesn't really cut it. If you go into games hoping the team fails so that you can say 'I was right' then whats the point in any of it? Worst performance of the season, yes. Important players out, yes. Will we perform better V Cardiff, yes. Do we need to press the panic button and predict a collapse and 15th place finish after losing to a good Leicester side with a good game plan and good manager, NO! -
We wondered this too. I assume Richardson is not fully fit (though looked ok on his 70 yard dart!).. If he is then not starting him is madness. In fact the more you think about it the more he must be only fit enough for the bench, he's been excellent this season and there must be a reason for starting a LB at RB.

Best bit of business Southampton have ever done

Probably 15million from a league 1 youngster last season. Never even kicked a ball in the 2nd tier and pulled arsene's panties down for the price of half the stadium we play in! I believe it's 12+3 to come but even so superb negotiation from NC. Kevin Davies also a massive money maker. -
Because at the moment he is earning about as much in 2 and a half weeks as I do in a year and, to all intents and purposes, isn't working. Can't believe anyone would stick up for the guy in this situation.

Would you slate the man who pays you through social media and expect to get treated with respect and decency? I disagree with a mob mentality, look at the disgusting scenes at ewood park this season, but this guy is a joker. In what way exactly has Nicola Cortese acted unprofessionally? Chairmen or Chief Exec's at football clubs are always an easy target but what exactly are his major downfalls in this case? He has one player picking up a wage and disrespecting his own fans, fellow players and boss and he is being punished. It's not Cortese's fault that a childish footballer thinks he's entitled to the world whilst acting like a Barton esque over paid chav.
-
Unprofessional individual. These players with lonely brain cells are like pigs in s**t with twitter aren't they? He can rot for sure but frustrating paying him a fortune in the process. I would be amazed if there was any future for him. But I fear a combination of us not wanting to loan him out/wanting decent money for him/him wanting wages above the odds might lead to him not moving on in Jan.. I hope I'm wrong.

We'd need more than 7mill to lose Lallana in the last week of the transfer wondow.

Im a bit worried about getting a ticket for this, erring on the side of demand being really high. Like others I struggle to get to the TO often and cant really make phone calls easily from my work.. Reckon they'll go on sale next week. Guess millwall tickets will be on sale very soon too.

your club has no chane of getting a celtic star player .
rshephard3 replied to hooper88's topic in The Saints
What a muppet. Teams like SFC would compete in the CL if they played in Scotland. In fact Celtic would, I believe, be competing near the top of the Championship at best. We weren't linked with Lionel Messi you moron. And to describe Hooper as a 'star' player tells you all you need to know about the quality of football north of the border. As a side note, you could really do with a good strong Dutch centre half at Celtic but what with Lennon not knowing how to manage the preverbial p*ss up you lost him to a side showing signs of playing in the strongest league in the world. Chin up.
