  1. It annoys me that certain tabloids would rather put stories about her love life on the front page of the newspaper instead of actual news. The public's love affair with the D-list celebrity is a sad reflection of contemporary British society and culture, or lack of it. And on that note, I was annoyed this morning when I saw the Daily Mail have nothing on the front page about Remembrance Sunday, but instead posed the very important question, who won the lottery last week? FFS.
  2. I wanted United to win so Chelsea wouldn't go five points clear at the top of the table, but now I want Chelsea to annihilate them.
  3. Yeah I heard that, absolute disgrace.
  4. NV have had at least two cleared off the line. If Charlton play like this on Wednesday we are going to destroy them. I somehow think they'll pick up their game for their visit to St. Mary's though.
  5. +1 Also, 'I vow to thee my country'.
  6. Northwich Victoria have just gone 1-0 up against Charlton in the 80th minute!
  7. I've just switched from Hull v Stoke - 0-1 and boring - to the FA Cup game. See what you mean about the NV fans. Would be interesting to see their average league attendance compared to this matches attendance.
  8. P!ss isn't a swear word anyway, it might be in the swear filter, but it could be a lot worse! And I'll take this opportunity to remind that there are other words in the song, it's not just 'na na na na na na na na na na na na' all the way through
  9. I can't help but feel Haye is going to get annihilated by a couple of absolutely devastating punches. I'm going down to the pub to watch it, I hope it lasts longer than my first pint.
  10. Aldershot away
  11. Good noise coming from our lot, unless Bristol sing "We all follow Bristol, over land and sea and Bristol! (?)"
  12. You forgot 'Leave in the back of a London cab" which I'd put at 6/1
  13. Well seeing as the coach is my only realistic option of getting there I guess I will have to have fun on it. Unlike some I don't mind sitting on a coach, bored, for all them hours if it means getting to watch Saints play. You have fun listening to it on BBC Solent. And happy clappers? I've only been on the coach once and there wasn't any happy clapping going on. That usually happens in pentecostal churches and places of worship where they dance and sing, the coach is a lot more boring than that.
  14. Thanks for taking the time to read it Nineteen. I guess we have experienced similar things regarding people who see their opinion as fact, and I completely agree about level of belief depending on those who have an input on your way of thinking. If my parents were devoutly religious then there's more chance I would be for example, if that's what you mean anyway. I also agree about not dismissing it based on the ramblings of one person. I'd like to think I'll stay open but at the moment my mind is closed on the matter and at the moment I have no time for religion. Maybe in the future I'll change, I don't know. Thanks for what you said about the AD aswell Nineteen, don't worry though, nobody seems to know what it is! It's ok as I have gotten used to my meds and that, but it has made me question things, like religion, and made me appreciate things more, because I was fairly close to death. Still, there are a lot people worse off than me, I almost feel quite selfish taking about it.
  15. You going on the coach? I'm not.
  16. Urban dictionary!!!! Each to their own I guess, if you're into that sort of thing..
  17. I have often wondered about this. I wonder why I got something which affects 1 in 100,000 people. If there was a God then surely there wouldn't be diseases and such, natural things which aren't 'free will' but are uncontrollable and uncurable. If there was a God, then why do people have such conditions?
  18. That's disgusting...
  19. Hahaha unfortunately I'll only be on one coach
  20. Sorry IoW, did I not mention beforehand?? I'm getting the coach, HTH
  21. ****ing Awful Reeking Trombone (?)
  22. Oooooooooops. Well technically the first time was ruling out the train, the second time was ruling out the plane, and the third time was consigning myself to the coach, which, by the way, I am getting to Hartlepool. I just get carried away P.S. I'm getting the coach. P.P.S You might want to change your 'location'.
  23. Interesting stuff, Nineteen. I have been seriously turned off the idea of any organised religion by a 'friend' who one day went to Winchester cathedral and went up the front during a service. He said he was 'touched' by God and he started crying, and now he feels his duty is to convert and preach and stuff. It all started when he got a devout Christian girlfriend, he changed to accommodate her views, then seemed to completely embrace them and take it upon himself to force others to feel the same. He is open to debate and we often argue over the topic. He is religious, I am agnostic/atheist and it often comes to msn blows. The thing that has completely turned me off is his seemingly blind acceptance of Christianity and the way he puts it forward. He won't accept that I am not a 'believer' and bangs on about all sorts of wacky stuff regarding God. In 2007 at 16 years old I was diagnosed with an incurable condition called Addison's Disease and now I have to take medication every day for the rest of my life, if I don't, then I die, simple as that. I probed him during a debate and asked "If there was a God then why have I got AD.. Why do people have cancer, why do people get leukaemia, MS, etc" and he mumbled on, and said things along the line of, not in the exact words, but in the line of, I've somehow deserved it. Needless to say I hit the roof. He then told me that if I believed in God I could get it cured. It's 100% incurable at the moment. These things he said really turned me from the idea of God and his blindness made me angry. He was very irrational when any other view-point was bought up, and he wouldn't understand it's down to opinion. Since he has been at Uni he has opened up to other people's views a bit, but he is still adamantly "GOD EXISTS, YOU ARE WRONG". He has said some ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous things in the past regarding Christianity, and unfortunately I cannot remember some of the things, but him alone has made me reject religion. Sorry for the long post, I didn't really come to any conclusions but thanks for reading if you did.
  24. Mick and Paddy went to London to donate sperm. It was a disaster. Mick came on the bus and Paddy missed the tube.
