  1. There's definitely a finger missing in that picture!
  2. I agree the ref was shocking but Pelle absorbed so much punishment and won so many of the balls pumped at him...a good few lay-offs too. I'm not understanding the anti stuff, the guy is class and never stops working no matter how many times he gets kicked or bundled from behind!
  3. An interesting one...let's say QPR do get relegated, the FL say no pay, no golden share hence no place in Championship, L1, L2 and these are football creditor recognised payments then QPR appeal...would make for a very interesting summer and make lawyers a fortune. Great brinkmanship scenario that would revereberate beyond PL/FL jurisdiction in the restriction of trade argument! Might be cheap to pay the 40 million on that basis but they must be craaaapping themselves :-).
  4. That and the pre deadline tweet are pretty damning indictments of someone who' 'asn't 'ad a moment of bovver with the chairman'....pretty obvious they were running his contract down!! Have Bond, Hoddle and Jordan definitely left too?
  5. Who's....
  6. Poetically put as ever...
  7. Indeed I did but the opportunity to elaborate on the theme was too tempting to resist :-) For this reason I've ignored your last sentence...too much temptation in one day - I am sated
  8. Oh Pap....! All rights to any acceptance of your reasoning disappeared with these 4 words highlighted. You have no opinion, you are the driving anti-Christ, you shall be forever daubed with the word that is an abbreviation for Richard and begins with 'D'....for you the very concept 0f 60mph vs 59mph manoeuvre was conceived and truckers have full right to exercise it in support of all drivers who have been victim to the appalling manners that seem to be instilled in to all BMW drivers on purchase...they're probably even in the handbook ffs! Buy something less wuckfit-associated and restore your standing as a correspondent
  9. Been an excellent performer for us both spells and utterly reliable - Thanks Jack, you're going for an honourable reason and I hope you remember your time at Saints with as much pleasure as I, and a good many of my group of Saints fans remember yours. Good luck!

  11. I am indebted for your discovery of this - this thread will continue to give and give
  12. Great stuff! There are no negatives to this news, I think he'll become an even better professional and England player - ideally for us. The guy has cast aside his skate roots - for that along with his other attributes he has my respect!
  13. Poundland surely....great as a shirt sponsor too. Although how long before it became 4p in the Poundland?
  14. Loving Phil Brown's psychology....and keeping a straight face whilst he said it must have been a challenge :-)
  15. Some serious job-shedding and (although I know it doesn't figure in a P*mpey dictionary) cost-cutting contained within that article...onwards and downwards...
  16. Never realised it was a choice! Lived locally through the sixties and through the schools and Saints were as much part of the day as breathing and stuff....always been of the opinion that you can only ever truly support one team and whilst I've worked all over the place and live 200 miles away it's far too ingrained in my DNA and life and will always be, I suspect. Happy for it to be so - I've had the highs and the lows but never a doubt.
  17. He contributes so much more to our performances than just goals, really not a very bright thread. ...and when Jay is back we have yet another quality string to our bow!
  18. It has to be Ricky Lambert The quality of the other contenders is testimony to some excellent buying decisions but I can't think of anyone who contributed more to us being in the PL.
  19. Those two tables held next to each other paint a beautiful, accurate and karma inducing picture....top of the PL Form table against bottom of the League 2 equivalent!! A world apart...'WTF is laughing now?!!'
  20. I also like tinpotmost....PTS creating words to fit situations!!
  21. And back on topic... Bobby slaphead combover Charlton esq the night before the '76 cup final predicted 6-0 to his bunch of bandidos....twunt! Hated him ever since..and a bit before that too!
  22. Mings did very little last night to suggest that he would be an improvement on what we have.
  23. Just back - Very professional performance, long way off being pretty but second half in particular you could see the gap that Mane's absence has left - there were several situations where the game cried out for a fast striker to run in to the gaps that were there. Both Tadic and Long had opportunities that they should have created better from or scored but ultimately we were never really threatened. Big Vic's pull up and subsequent limp/carry off looked painful and may prove costly but that could happen in any game. Would have liked to see Isgrove but in Ron we trust - we score, we shut shop and it would take a better team than Ipswich to open it again. MOTM difficult because everyone performed their jobs as adequately as they were required but I'd probably plump for Reed...didn't do much wrong and played with great desire and energy - slightly shading it over Jose who was just in control!
  24. P*ssflaps has cornered the market in brown envelopes...
