  1. hoe mice? Dem *****es invading yo' patch?
  2. It's fine but what's with the photoshopping or whatever caused the heads to look like they're transplanted from Tussauds? :-) Like the collars and the short sleeve version...not sure about the long, white sleeves-maybe it'll grow on me. Happy to be back in stripes much as I liked last year's.
  3. Makes me about 7ft if so...
  4. Sorry to reply to my own posting but below is the, fairly stock, response. Thank you for contacting Channel 4 Viewer Enquiries regarding DISPATCHES: How To Buy A Football Club. We are sorry to hear that you found this documentary distasteful and feel it used the death of Markus Liebherr to illustrate a point about the ownership of Southhampton Football Club. Please be assured your complaint has been logged and noted for the information of those responsible for our programming. Thank you again for taking the time to contact us. We appreciate all feedback from our viewers; complimentary or otherwise. Regards, Angie Young Channel 4 Viewer Enquiries
  5. Hopefully this means that it's being replaced with a definitive, unequivocal ownership statement to obliterate any shred of doubt then!
  6. I certainly agree that we got lucky - there but for fortune we could have been similarly tarnished etc. It is though the very fact that buying a club (and we were an exceptionally good investment at the price) is a very viable proposition doing it the way that our business plan sets out. Part of my point is that what we are attempting to do legitimately is being lumped alongside the dodgy profiteering, asset stripping and multiple ownership that was the subject matter of the programme. I would like that made clear by the programme makers that our way is absolutely legitimate and, if you like, has had it's legitimacy compromised by their implication. Link was ostensibly to our ownership section on the OS - not sure why it's not working...it did earlier?!

  8. As far as factually incorrect I guess time will tell re the other clubs and personnel involved. The point about us was not incorrect in itself. We are owned by a foreign owned and registered company but my objection was that they sensationalised the fact that we were owned by Markus Liebherr...dramatic pause...and Herr Liebherr died a year ago!! I detest the fact that we were being lumped in with the sleazy sort of takeover that was being portrayed...the sort that the odious and odoursome end of the M27 have had several of. I still feel tainted by the fact that we ever let that sleazeball Redcrap through the door so to have poorly researched, innacurate cheap points being made at the expense of a genuine businessman who saw potential...and yes profit too in investing in our club really rankles!
  9. I have sent the following to the Channel 4 link supplied...I would urge that more of us do similar. It wasn't the fact that we're owned by a company with an offshore registration that I found abhorrent - more the way it was portrayed that a man who has died was being used as some kind of front. I really hope Cortese goes for them in a big way - I'd like to see a broadcast apology! 'I found the use of the death of Markus Liebherr to illustrate a cheap point re the ownership of Southampton Football Club amongst the others mentioned distasteful in the extreme. Had your researcher done what his job description implies he would have found that the club owners are listed as 'The estate of Markus Liebherr deceased'. His untimely and unexpected death was made to look as though it was part of a plot in line with the general theme of the programme to have foreign consortiums running and owning football clubs and presenting this in a bad light. In reality his vision and business plan are being carried through with the support of his family and his personal appointee - Nicola Cortese - on a five year plan to get to the Premier League.I think the Liebherr family and Southampton Football Club are owed an apology for this poorly researched and sensationalised linking and look forward to seeing this as a matter of urgency.'
  10. Really not...? Where's your spirit of experimentation? :-)

  12. Surely Tom Watson is a question....?
  13. Agreed - For me I saw enough when he was on loan before to think that he has class, athleticism and commitment...watched the Preston away 3-2 on youtube and was reminded of how good I thoght he was then.
  14. If all you internet heroes who crave bans for your diminished credibility just minced off in a huff surely that would make your point better? Bored sh*tless with people who have the option to post - or not - on a forum who make out it's some kind of crusade. Roll on the start of the season!
  15. That's easy money...identify yourself!
  16. Takeaways?
  17. Ditto
  18. This...discredited, deluded, desperate and in denial...f*ck off and get a life ffs!
  19. Choice is the word you appear to misunderstand...if I'm happy and can afford to then I will...if the opposite is true then I won't! I'd like an Audi R8...but I can't afford one...I don't like the Nissan Cube...although I can afford one I don't want one. It's about choice of what you spend your hard-earned on...not making stands about economic decisions.
  20. Add Best, Ranger, Dyer and McGoldrick & Blackstock (nearly there with Forest) and it looks a more effective provider all the time
  21. Any vestige of street cred you might have had would be fukt by turning up at a UKIP conference anyway.
  22. Good to see you back...thanks!
  23. The last couple of jobs I left were because I was offered something more fun and better paid to boot.....people do that you see.
  24. It's a statement not a question and yes.
