  1. Didn't i say something similar?
  2. I agree. Lets do it . We did it for Kelvin last season so why not for Rickie?
  3. Why not? As it stands, there are only 2 teams with more goals for than us and only 3 with a better defence. If we can keep scoring the way we have in the last 2 games or even if we're scoring 2 or 3 and not conceeding many, it is more than possible. Confidence is high and that can only breed good things. I hope so anyway
  4. Why cant we just over water one of our training pitches (we still have 2 + the match pitch dont we?) and turn it into a L1 pitch and play practice matches on it and get used to the conditions. For me that beats disrupting the squad by making changes and trying to fit square pegs into round holes as far fitting players into unfamiliar or unprefered positons.
  5. As I remember this seasons target was consolidation and team building with a veiw to automatic promotion next season. If the case was different I am suprised that nothing was said by NC earlier when AP set minor targets for the team - get to +ve points, get out of the bottom 4, get into the top half. So far he has achieved all of these and is trying to engineer another push up the league. He has done a grand job thus far and I have every confidence he will continue to so.
  6. surely tick...tick...tick... *puff*
  7. Germany or Wembley?
  8. This was what I was wondering. Will HMRC be present at the High Court to put a case forward? Will we all get to find out what the SoA contains today ahead of mondays proposed hearing? And will the court appoint an administor given the nature of recent events, and if administration is even seen to be a viable option given the level of dept that has evidently been accumulating? S many questions ??:

Would explain why I was on the ceiling for hours after I drank it. Unfortunately I dont read Thai so I couldn't tell you :smt030
  10. http://live.skysports.com/ScoreCentre/live.html?id=football Apparently Paul Wotton is the key player
  11. Whatever works for them i suppose;)
  12. Surely the PL shouldn't be getting involved between Pompey and HMRC.
  13. TBF it really doesn't seem to make much of a difference to you. [-X
  14. As opposed to giving our players and staff grief for doing their jobs? Hmmm.
  15. Prem teams don't have the benefit of the "emergency" loan window do they?
  16. Got to agree. Been thinking the same everytime I see similar comments. We're out, get over it.
  17. If NC wasn't putting pressure on AP he wouldn't be doing his job. Pressure comes with management positions no matter how favourable or adverse results are. There is always scope for improvement. I find it strange that NC does business behind closed doors and then comes out with this comment. I think it was designed to take pressure off the cup games but also saying that the league is as important as ever rather than a public warning. Its difficult to guage APs comment and its context as it came from a vague article.
  18. I didn't think it was too bad yesterday tbh. I've been stuck in traffic for longer than that for alot of league matches over the past couple of years. There are plenty of other reasons for lack of respect for the OB than traffic decisions.
  19. Got hit by a couple of them in the Millwall game and they really hurt. Paid for a few beers though so happy days. Back to the OB though, when the inbreeders were pelting us in Itchen North with bottles, coins, chewing gum and other assorted projectiles, they were more interested in seeing where the retaliation was going to come from, even when one of them got hit by a coin.
  20. IMO, man of the match, and has to be, which says alot for us and the chances we created.
  21. Even so, it doesn't prove the business to be more viable. If anything i'd imagine it would work the other way around if they are having to rely on advances as it shows income is actually less than expenditure, confirming isolvencey. The advance is no more than ANOTHER loan in effect and putting another self fired bullet in the foot of PFC.
  22. Just the chorus would do it. Simple, catchy, funny. Nice
  23. Whats more interesting is that the Pompey business plan now seems to include relegation to guarantee income. You couldn't write it. What a selling point. How many players do you reckon have relegation based clauses written into their contracts given the insane wages many are on? I cant see they'll be any better off in the CCC
  24. These "2 firm offers" sound like a buying time ploy to me. They will have to go through due dilligence, satisfy the fit andproper persons criterea (which I think will be done properly and not just rubber stamped as has obviously been done in the past), contracts signed and funds transfered. The other problemsin a deal for the club is that any potential owner/investor will be getting very little for their money. Probably just the trading name and the mountain of debt as the ground and the stadium are not owned by the club. No other assets to speak of other than employee contracts which make it an even less attractive proposition. Poor old Pompey. Was the cup worth it?
  25. Sat in block 42, as normal but in a different seat. I thought that was the best atmosphere in the Northam for ages. Singing, clapping and jumping around, the stand was shaking and it was all positive for a change
