Not really. We have Rickie Lambert and David Connoly backed up by Papa Waigo and Matt Patterson. We also have Jamie White who does have the potential. Lalana can play up top too so I think we are well covered for the time being. Most teams in this league would be happy to have attacking options like ours IMO.

Agreed. I think Mifsud will be signed as the striker on a free and Stock as the midfielder for big money + Gillett. Anything else would probably a bonus, and would be dependant on players leaving.

A left sided midfielder would be ideal then so AL can play in the 'hole'. that would solve our creativity problems too IMO

I remember him making his debut for Liverpool under Gerard Houllier and he looked like a player of huge potential. Working Dario Gradi at Crewe is also no bad thing. He seems to lose his way when things go bad though. Shot in the backside with an air gun while at Liverpool, falling out with Dario after a misunderstanding over preseason traing dates, Glenn Roeders arrival and going from fan favorite to scapegoat for relegation to L1 despite being overlooked for much of the season and of course being thrashed on the first day 7-1 . Each of these seem to have drained his confidence somewhat each time. He cant be a bad player and nowhere near as bad as the Norwich fans would have us believe. 93 games in 2.5 seasons doesn't suggest a bad player to me, especially as he missed quite a few games while trying to win his place in the team back from Elliot Omozusi after being dropped by Roeder last season. He has the ability to succeed for us for sure and we should give him the chance to. It seems alot of us have written him off before even kicking a ball at SMS.

Wasn't it him who ran rings round Rio and the other CB, Silvestre I think it was, when he was at Coventry. As I remember him, he was quick with and without the ball, composed and had an eye for goal. Cant remember why he left Coventry though and haven't heard much of him since. A Maltese international too with a pretty good goal record for them. I reckon HCDAJFU and a 6 month deal would benefit him and us tbf. Gotta be better then Pericard at least

I think this is a real signal of intent. Not just for us but to our other targets too. It shows that we are serious and dont plan on being in L1 longer than this season. It appears to me that ML and NC have recognised that we are capable of making the play offs and are giving AP the tools to give us the best chance. Exciting times.
